It's double celebration for Akshay Dogra this Vale

The handsome actor Akshay Dogra, who plays Aakash in Star Plus' Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, has many reasons to be happy this Valentine's Day. Firstly, his onscreen character has got married recently. But apart from that, he is very elated personally too. Tomorrow, 14 February, apart from being Valentine's Day, is also his second wedding anniversary.

Akshay's wife, Sakshi, is a working professional. He first met his wife in 1998 in their Economics tuition classes. "So tomorrow (14 February) we would be celebrating fourteen years of togetherness," smiles the actor. Akshay always wanted to become an engineer, but he couldn't get admission into it and hence opted for commerce. And thanks to this decision, he met his life partner.

While Akshay was serious about their relationship from day one, Sakshi realized this in 2002 and decided it was time to go ahead. And after nearly five years after that, the couple decided to take the plunge and got married in 2009.

While the month of marriage was decided (February), the date was not finalized. "My mother immediately came up with the date of 14 February," reveals the handsome hunk. Incidentally, even the priest came up with the same date later on. The list of co-incidences doesn't end here; even his onscreen wedding date is the same. For information, Akshay is the elder brother of Riddhi Dogra who is married to her Maryada co-star Raqesh Vashisth.

Though tomorrow it's double celebration for him, Akshay doesn't have any plans of celebrating the occasion along with his wife. The reason being that both have professional commitments to fulfill. "But I want to surprise her with a car," he adds.
