A good start to Monday ..with characters still maintaining their traits and not going off on tangent..The episode was centered around the Havan yet had many offshoots which kept it interesting...Today the star of the episode is/was undoubtedly Abhaas n Daljeet .. Shyam as the smooth, fork tongued, silky customer who maintains the charade and presence of mind at all times, Anjali as the loving, mischievous and caring sister, as a trusting, naive wife, as a host with good manners,as a elder of the family who graciously yields the floor for the new couple were good .
So Keyed and unsettled has Arnav become by that one simple Kiss, he immediately goes in for his calming therapy..Yes, he goes to his beloved plants, Plants which have always soothed him, calmed him, have been the quiet listeners to his unaired inner most thoughts ..into this reflective mood, barge in the two drama queens, intent on sounding out Arnav's hearts desire ...They begin quite innocuously , seemingly oblivious of Arnav's hulking presence , They begin to talk about Khushi, her marriage and of getting her into the Raizada clan , Arnav's sharp ears pick up on that sound , he perks up and is all ears , keenly eavesdropping on a ladies conversation... Naniji is praising Khushi and the mysterious pairing with a certain X, Arnav rolls his eyes as in Not again and tries to move away from there..Unfortunately his path is blocked by 2 well meaning matrons ..Anjali passes the baton over to the experienced Naniji who delicately begins her probing ...The whiz brain of Arnav is no match for Naniji's convoluted brain , Arnav falls into the trap , walks away confirming Anjali & Naniji's suspicion and leaving them jumping in glee ..
Kudos to the CV's for still remembering that Arnav always goes to his plants when he is emotionally agitated, chopping the plants when angrily agitated [destroying], watering them when in positive frame [ growth, regeneration] ...Full marks to Barun sobti here ...The way his eyes begins to dart as soon as he hears Khushi/Marriage and the impassive look he tries to give to Nani when the ladies stop him for consultation , The flickering of eyes when Nani says ' baat aage kaise bada sakath hai ', the soft , caressing, gentle ' Kaisi baat 'and the way he begins to think when he hears it is marriage..no rejection but thinking !!, The gulp he gives when Nani says we got a wonderful girl inhouse , not wanting to say No but does not want to appear eager at the same time slightly hesitant and unsure only for him to be deflated & embarrassed when he is told that it was NK they were talking about , His sheer outrage , jealousy, getting cantankerous , he spits out , I donno , whatevurr and stalks out...Sobti was Darn good, no less was Jayshree .T in the way she used her eyes ..
With Bauji getting his medicines regularly , He seems to be on a mend cos now he is able to lift his hand ..Again the contrasting reaction of his two daughters ..while the introverted eldest and his own blood is all calm, restrained very much moved and immensely happy , The younger adopted daughter just jumps up and hugs her father all the while nattering to a dozen unable to control her joy and pleasure... Does this signal that Shyam's cup has begun to fill ?? with problems piling up from all sides, Bauji getting well, Anjali refusing to die , Khushi's growing proximity to NK/Arnav finally push this careful man to do some reckless acts thereby getting caught !!
Another family moment , Bro-sis moment was between Anjali-Arnav ...Again it showed the distance or the lack of it traveled by this two siblings ..while one can talk about death matter of factly, another cannot even contemplate it ..when Anjali speaks about her leaving his side on day, Arnav immediately rushes back to her , holds her by the shoulders and grits out desperately, almost commanding the fate that he will never let anything to happen, Nothing of such sort will happen to her ...An instance where we can see that little boy Arnav for whom Anjali is still the anchor ..Anjali quickly senses his mood , soothes his , gently placing her hand on his cheeks, A misty eyed Arnav tenderly kisses her palm, walks back to the Mirror , looks back at her in his eyes a plea , a fear of a boy who lost his world one night as he says almost pleads that his sister will always stay with him...A beautiful & Poignant moment well executed by D & B 👏..A interesting point here was Arnav who seemed to be considering Marriage when Nani and Anjali were talking about Khushi now flatly refuses to even think about marriage as Anjali bring the talk to his marriage.
The Gupta's come calling with their Gifts which the petite framed Khushi is woman-fully laboring to hold while the family have their tete standing by the door ..Just when the gifts appear to be on the verge of toppling over, Both Arnav & NK step forward but NK beats Arnav by few seconds and he gets to help Khushi drawing the ire of Arnav who swallows his chagrin but glares aggrievedly at the backs of Khushi & Nk..He cant stop himself from peevishly retorting that NK & Khushi are match made in heaven with their dim wits ..A remark heard by Khushi, who turns to give him a laser glare from her limpid eyes , which unfortunately does not melt the vexation of Arnav one iota but makes the avidly watching women very happy ..
Next comes the perf(b)oom sequence... How typical of the genius minded Shyam opting for darkness in his room , Darkness that covers his evil intention , darkness which has clouded his brain and does not allow the innate goodness to surface , Darkness which is not allowing the other members of his family to see his self..into this darkness walks in a beaming, trusting Anjali..her eyes aglow with the love for her husband , her implicit trust at all the falsehoods uttered by Shyam .. In complete faith she allows herself to be drenched in ether ... Abhaas acting and Voice modulation was superb in this sequence... He actually got to act instead of contorting his face..
Well with few needless suspense we finally got to a point where we saw that Shyam's plan has been delayed and he is fuming but does he burst out in rage , No ..he again cleverly manipulates his rage and makes it appear as if he is hurt that his Rani Saheba's position has been usurped by the new couples... He is one cool player !!.. Will his manipulation begin to work , will we see Anjali beginning to get insecure ..time will tell !!
The suppressed displeasure on seeing NK close to Khushi , Khushi trying not to see Arnav and studiously averting her eyes ..Her not encouraging NK by exuberantly claiming the bangles were of NK's choice ..which would have sent NK to heaven and Arnav to a grandstand tour of fiery hell is applauded ..This Girl may give in to momentary youthful impulses but her principles are sound...The Havan is about to start with PAYASH installed , only for the family to discover that they have forgotten the Ghee..Khushi jumps in with her clarion call of of Aal veel b vell as long Khushi is here .. Buaji feels a lil worried on sending a pretty damsel alone .. Arnav and NK both look set to help Khushi ,when NK without a thought impulsively offers his help, while Arnav who had been giving the matter some thought is left stranded at the starting pole [ next time bituwa, don't think so much n just act ]... Khushi's immediate reaction on hearing NK's offer is to look at Arnav.. A look to see what will be Arnav's reaction, or is it a look to check whether Arnav is getting riled or is it a look of mute permission seeking... as Arnav would say , whatevurrr?? cos the only look Khushi got in return was a irate glare...
