I watch the show with my MIL. She also likes the shw and keeps telling me how the cast in IPKKND are all good looking(read sarun)😃
We both often ask my daughters(aged 4 and 2) to go and watch some cartoon or play games in computer, if we sense some intense scene coming in 😛

Haha, my mom LOVES this show. We watch it at different times- I watch it when its posted here, and then she waits to watch it when it's aired at night. But the day after, we always have the funniest discussions about the show. Both of us pretty much dissect Arnav's behaviour and character development in each episode and try and predict what will happen next. My mom's a pretty much die-hard fan of Barun, She doesn't even hide it. It's so cute!

As for my dad, he watches it with my mom, and he's a HUGE fan of Sanaya! He thinks she's absolutely gorgeous.

Wow your parents are pretty much into it. Your mum deffo is a die-hard Barun fan! Have to agree with your dad - Sanaya is gorgeous. You guys are a happy go lucky IPKKND watcher. 😉

My mother is atypical. She never watches soaps but over winter break, I forced to watch this with me and now she's addicted. She thinks Arnav is the cutest fur-ball ever and adores Khushi's antics. We talk about everything in the show, including intimate Arhi scenes.

NK also amuses her and she thinks the Snake character is unnecessary and gets too much soap time (I agree). She also loves watching the SBS/SBB parts because she say's Barun is a "cute kid" even if he plays such a mature character so well.

it is a cute story...if I had a daughter, i would not have minded watching it with her. My sister has a 14 years old. They both watch but mother is the bigger fan. I guess they watch in different rooms though.

Well my family doesn't watch IPKKND but they used to watch MJHT ( except my dad who generally doesn't like Hindi soaps ). My mom liked Sanaya there. When IPK started I used to watch the repeats after coming home from uni. I tried to convince them to watch it. My mom was really annoyed to see Sanaya's chamkeeli look and she didn't like Barun at all. My brother likes Sanaya but he also didn't like Barun. I gushed about IPK many times but when I got negative responses I gave up. After that I stopped watching it on TV, because I couldn't take all the Sarun bashing from my family.

Now I watch it on Youtube and family has no idea that I still watch this show. When Teri Meri epi aired I was reading the Lu's on IF and my Dad was just watching TV randomly and switching channels , when suddenly I heard Teri Meri...dad ended watching the whole performance. My mom was there too but after that dad probably changed the channel. The next day when the 6:00 repeats were they all ended up watching it ( Dad was there too but he wasn't paying attention to it).

I wasn't there...when I saw them watching it I quickly ran back to my room but I eavesdropped to hear what they had to say. I heard them praise Sanaya's green sari look but they didn't say anything about Barun. 😕

@blue - I agree. He just gets too much screen time. Barun and Sanaya are just amazing. Have to agree with your mum.

Besides, who isn't addicted to this show?!

My mother only watches this drama and two others. She doesn't watch anything else. But she won't talk about this one when it only comes to intense scenes. I swear it's a huge crush on Barun. I know it when I see someone feel something for another person.

Thanks. I swear, where there's a mother and a daughter watching; mothers seem to be the bigger fan at times!

When I'm at home, I always notice her watch this show. This is one of the three shows she watches. Where we live, people aren't big on watching Indian shows or anything Asian for the matter of fact. Kids are mostly told to watch English films etc - I've been brought up like that as well. I guess Barun happened by chance for us ever since his first show came on air. As they say: the rest is history. 😉

@black - ditto with Sarun bashing from family, except my parents.

Your family is converting into a IPKKNDian. Mine is already one. I see her tuned to it before I go to a lecture, before I go to work or a meeting.

I've noticed that some parents just don't praise the guy. Ever. Happens a lot where I live.
