For the last month or so, ever since the "fark pada hai" track stopped dead, then went spiraling into Payaashville, before zooming into Bollywood dance numbers almost weekly, this forum has been in an uproar over the inconsistencies in IPK, with fans going absolutely nuts over what they're watching, defending what they're watching, trying desperately to find reasons for the changes in characters, and everything else that happens when...
A new script writer silently enters the scene and starts writing without it seems a backward glance at the original storyline or character profiles.
ASR is rapidly moving into the role of lovesick puppy, who no longer retains his "edge" -
KKG is rapidly becoming more self-righteous, and no longer retains her pure spirit. -
It makes PERFECT sense now. The one sided awareness, the "boy MUST do/show/confess/love/adore/apologize/learn from girl/feel jealousy. He is always wrong, she is always right, he must always bow, she will show him how, and he will adore her no matter what. Because for SOME women, it's all about how much the man does, while she sits there all pretty and childishly charming, waiting for him to weave his spell over her like Prince Charming does at the end of every Disney fairy tale.
This is no longer a mature love story, based on equal characters. And for all you feminists out there, pay attention to what is happening to your "role model" - She is nothing more than a young girl designed and bred to serve as the perfect accompaniment to her husband, period. They may as well lock the doors of RM and never let her out again, so she can cook, and plan poojas, while looking stunning in red saris, and break out into a dance everytime people get bored.
