Khushi is such a child, and so stupid sometimes, in her "crazy" avatar I want to shake her. I truly thought his comments, aside from being hurtful, were spot on. She is very skitzo in the way she reacts, and I dont blame him for his anger, or his resentment/disgust tomorrow.
If ASR wants to introduce Payal to Akash's friends (as Payal said, she met his friends at the party) the chances of Akash's friends being comfortable at a party with chaat service and a jalebi stand and lassi is minimal. Akash said, and he is right, that Payal's backgrounds and his own are very different-why introduce Payal to his social circle in a party setting that is so desi it will make these high society people uncomfortable, and make them look down at Payal?Doesn't it make more sense to do the intros, in a classy setting, at a party hosted by her stylish and debonair devaar, where she is looking gorgeous and sophisticated? Why spoil that?
Payal was miserable, but thats because she's timid, and needs to learn to deal with her new circumstances, its time that Khushi backed the hell off. She created this relationship, but its not upto her to babysit Payal as she makes the transition to being a Raizada Bou. She mentioned to Buaji that Payal wont be eaten by the Raizadas, but she ran off like a fool to "entertain" Payal at a party she's been taken to by her fiance, hosted by her in laws. Payal is not Khushi's responsibility. ASR realizes this, and Khushi's interfering nature will be soon be problem for Payal and her sasural for SURE.
Very intelligently, ASR mentioned that someone with "good manners" doesn't hound the host of a party to rearrange his entire plans and interfere with his arrangements because two people wont be comfortable. Thats is a clear back off if I've ever heard one, and even Khushi realized it for a warning, since she decided not to go. Then what changed? Why would she show up and dance what to him is a vulgar and cheap attention-getting dance in the middle of someone else's bash? We all hated Lavaniya for doing this with "Character Dheela," where she danced a random dance number in ASR's party, why should Khushi's behavior get special treatment? Its worse!
There is a difference between being cute and "desi" and obnoxious and embarrassing. For the first time, I found her to be down market and not worth ASR's time or attention. Her arrival was kind of over the top, and I am sure her behavior will be fake and over the top as she "proves" her ridiculous point. The fact she is doing all this for Payal does not mean, she shouldnt know when to stop.
He said NO, and in this instance, its not Khushi's place to make the changes, or impose them on him. This is not a wedding celebration, between both parties, where her role and his role is similar. This is something he is doing for AKASH and PAYAL. Payal has a new role in her life, something Khushi cannot help her into, but ASR can, and he is doing just that.
ASR is paying for a classy party, THEIR kind of party, Akash's kind of party, inviting their friends, and deciding on the look and food and music. Khushi can throw a jalsha in Lakshimi-bazar and dance the thumka with Happyji and tell ASR that he has to come and milk a goat and make lassi if he wants to attend HER party,. If she was frying jabebis in their backyard she would be within her rights to tell him to wear a dhuti and dance the garba, but in this instance-yeah, Khushi, shut up.
