One of the critical things in romantic tales (as sources from Regency romance books MB book etc), is that their is strong sexual tension between the leads. There is also refreshing scenes in between that dissipates that tension somewhat. Also, the characters are allowed opportunities to interact normally and then thrown in to situations where their desire is stirred for each other. This is a balancing act and not all writers can get this right. So far I have to give my thumbs up to CVs for doing a fantastic job of Diwali episode and the treatment of anguish in KKG and ASR after that.

I think it would help CVs to know how long they plan to prolong the show. Lets say they want to run the show for 2.5 years, then they have a canvass to work on and can decide quarter by quarter how they wish to progress the story. While a quarter is running, they can always add funny filler episodes.

Most serials lose their charm because they dont have an end date in mind. They keep stretching the show driving characters and plot lines stale. It behooves a good CV team to put an end date in mind and work backwards to give us constant pacing and meaningful progression.

I would lfor them to push the envelope on Censor board a bit when it comes to ARHI scenes (hint hint)

Excellent post, I completely agree, I fear that if there is no end date then they will keep prolonging the viewers agony & not give them what they want in order to keep them hanging on and the story lines could become ridiculous.
I very much hope they have an end date and have all the revelations planned out in a balanced fashion!
I think (from reading IF) there are so many fantastic storyline for them to explore in IPKKND and therefore they should not drag any one particular track forever...although I am a die hard fan and will keep watching regardless of what they show...but for my own sanity and in order to get my life back on track, I would certainly like to know when the show is due to end, as up until then I feel like my life will revolve around IPKKND unless the writers really take the story down a direction I can't stomach!!!
PS I very much agree with your hints about pushing the Censor boards...everybody (including very young children - plus children are so advanced these days, just need to look at the world wide statistics on teenage pregnancy ~15%) can watch any US/UK serial and see kissing & more during the daytime so why can't they give us some artistically shot kissing scenes???

Hi sbk! thanks, glad you find the post readable :-). Sometimes I am incredulous that i can get so worked up about some show on TV. Yet, what is life without some vicarious fun. I am reliving a lot of romance in my life via ARHI, may god bless the screen couple !!! LOL!
