Why has a 'fictional liplock' affected us so much?

I saw the precap right before dinner. Those few seconds of visual treat messed up with my appetite leaving me completely enthralled. My brain has been malfunctioning ever since. I used to think I have passed the age when onscreen romance would affect me so much. But the near kiss proved me wrong and left me completely awestruck.

I am embarrassed to admit that I am still getting shivers down my spine. I have watched the precap probably over a hundred times (I have lost count) and every time I see it, the effect still remains.

We are speculating whether the kiss will really happen or not? Whether it will be before or after the announcement of the engagement? Who might back out form the kiss ' Arnav or Khushi?

So what is with this kiss that has left us fascinated? It is just fiction after all and they will not show the 'real thing" anyway?

"everyone needs a shot at love, thats all we need"
and when you are miles away from finding it, you find solace(?) in books/shows that make you wonder..
"they create a fantasy so great, that when we are in it together, it becomes a reality"..

Very well said my friend. Love that last line..actually love every bit of it. But what about all those who have found love in the real world but are still charmed by fiction?

fari🤗

Sometimes fantasy can be a sweet escape from reality.
Isn't that what most of us look for in ipk? A sweet escape?
Things we yearn for that may never happen in reality...the perfect partner..the perfect romance..that one perfect kiss😍

I don't know if they will kiss or not...but the scene gave me goosebumps and made me feel all warm inside. So for me that's what it is, a sweet escape. :)

Watching romance on screen makes you happy. breather from reality. Isn't that what everyone wants.
and as far as those who have found love, they can relate to it. That's my personal opinion. I can completely relate to this show and their love story.

That's why storytellers have enchanted us through centuries and ... we still fall for it... ARHI are real for us (except, of course, when SBB/SBS intrude with their behind the scene interview)
