Even if she didin't like La, the fact is Lavanya did try her best to fit in to the family, she made every effort, and she even took all those lame comments abt her wearing a short skirt and stuff without any protest. AND most of all, Lavanya does love Arnav, so atleast Nani could've felt bad for her.

Nani has no sorrow for anyone who doesn't match up to her so called standards

Nani can't get her way with Arnav, he's equally stubborn if not more. He only stayed back because of his sister, but if he truly wants to do something, he'll do it. He's clearly insulted Khushi a bunch of times in front of her and she's disliked it, so I don't see how much she can do to ruin Arnav and Khushi's story,

On the contrary, I can see how Arnav will stick up for Khushi to Nani one day, it will be quite ironic because this time Arnav will mean each and every word he says :)

So true.. I really felt soo bad when she gave the mithai to Khushi and thanking her that it's because of her Lavanya left.

Everyone felt so bad and Nani was behaving like a kid rejoicing that finally she got rid of La.

Completely agree with how horrible Nani is acting. I felt like she was justified at first for not liking Lavanya- it was part of how she thought. And even though I didn't have any issues with Lavanya wanting a live in relationship, it was really dumb how little respect she got from Nani and worse, ASR. He treats her abominably for someone who supposedly loves her.

As for her change, Nani should atleast acknowledge the effort. Instead, she keeps attributing everything positive to Khushi and everything negative to Lavanya. I dont get why the writers are pushing for us to dislike one against the other so much!

Glad Lavanya finally stood up for what she wanted!

As for Nani, she's being horribly unfair. Not liking her character at all! At the end of the day, she's the one character that stands out as being the most judgemental and hypocritical. Just because Lavanya is "modern" doesn't mean she's a horrible girl. And just because Khushi wears traditional clothes and knows about her culture doesn't mean she is without flaws. Nani has an extremely backward, and skewed way of thinking... almost enough to justify the way Manorama behaves with her. After 20+ years of putting up with Nani's crap, I can understand why she'd want to mess with her.

Thanks for an excellent topic. I bet many people need to vent like I did :)
