Sanaya did justice to the "little girl who lost her parents" scenario! She was SO good. The fear and lonliness she faced was so clear in her words! You never recover from a shock like that, and I got it!
In the face of her pain, his sorry seemed SO inadequate..I think he knew that! This scene was SO much better than any of us expected it to be! We ALL wondered how would Arnav say sorry? Well I for one was not dissapointed at all! Director, writers and actors! LOVE your work, please continue with this stellar level of work, we expect SO much from you, we dont want to be dissapointed and so far, you are exceeding our expectations so thanks!

@bold ...well said, I think that was the crux of the thing! The whole day he spent practising how to say sorry, made such a big deal out of it ... and in the end, it seemed so small, so inadequate ... Hats off to the CV's for the way they did this ... the whole thing, his first very ASR-ish non-apology 😛 ... the way she told him her story, bare words bringing out the little lost girl so beautifully ... then ending almost as a challenge ... you keep saying you didn't know, that's always been your excuse, ... ok, now you know everything ... can you say it now - no, you can't! Because i'm still not of the same haisiyat as you ...
And he finds he can say it ... not once, but three times! And really means it as well ...

I have to say, hats off to the director, the writer, the creative team ... everyone! 👏👏👏 And most of all to Barun and Sanaya ... executed flawlessly!!!

Loved everything about your description and take on yesterday's wonderful episode. I wish I had time to write of my thoughts and love.

I must say though I find it amazing how they set up these great romantic scenes. The gazebo with twinkling lights was an excellent example of such a setting to get everything off your chest.

In reality at a party like that there would have been hundreds of couples trying to enjoy that same romantic scene. There would have been hundreds of eyes and ears on them. No privacy nor the ability to lose yourself in the other person.

<BIG SIGH> I guess that is the reason we love the unreality of these shows!!!

your attention to detail and the way you described the nuaunces of each scene..I too loved How the Sorry came out ..and As I said in my post ..Why was the sorry (strripped of any frills) soo important to Khushi Kumari Gupta..So important that she went ahead to cry in front of him ..to tell him about her heart break .Sharing her past with wanting to do and not because she wanted to show him that yes if you hurt then I can too...
Uff Kiya kahoon..it was brilliant ..Stellar as Mr Darcy said..the emotions..the choked out sorry ..the tears in both their eyes..the way she is able to read him..to tell him that yes she understands why he was going crazy..and she flings it to his face..that he wants to say sorry..so there it is out in the open and she again and I love this how in character she was...the generous soul she is..she throws the ball in his court but seeing him clamming up ..she goes ahead and makes it easier by breaking up in front of him and then telling him to say sorry..it matters to him as much as it matters to her..
LOVELY post Diya as always...

Aww, thanks Zainab ... the episode was so good ... I think we all felt like writing on it!!! Yes, the sorry was important to her, she wanted to hear it ... but she did not expect him to say it ... he always says he didn't know ... so this time she TOLD him ... everything ... because she could ... somehow she could open her heart to him about this ... and it was a relief for her also, to be able to say it, to let it out ...
and then when she did, and then he said that Sorry ... and again, and yet again ...because he really meant it, he couldnt help saying it, it wasn't an effort at all ... then she couldn't take it ...

beautifully done ... loved the scene ... and loved all the posts today! 😊

Awesome,😃Thanks🤗

Every time I see the pain in your eyes,
A little part of my heart dies,
No matter how hard and how often you try,
All I seem to do is make you cry.

You risk so much and take such chance,
To share your heart and your romance,
You share your hopes and dreams and fears,
And let me in to all that's dear.

All I seem to do is be mean and cold,
To fail to cherish, fail to hold,
I seem to fail to put you first,
You act your best, I am my worst.

My mouth contradicts my heart,
My actions and thoughts so far apart,
I love you with every part of me,
Yet act so cruel and thoughtlessly.

I dream of you all night and day,
And hang on every word you say,
Yet all you see is selfishness and arrogance,
Casual disdain and ignorance.

So many wonderful takes on last night's episode ... here's mine ... on the Arhi parts ... This is gonna be long!

m not sure if i shud be quoting such a long post but i really cant help myself this time - its a beauty of a post! 👏 i loved the scene when i saw it and m loving it more after reading ur take...

Starts with La trying to wheedle a smile out of ASR, or at least find out why he's been so angry with her the whole day. How can he tell you, La, he doesn't know himself - why Khushi's absence has made him so restless and bad-tempered! Why that apology is the only thing on his mind ... I really wonder if he got any work done at all today, between his practice sessions and those abortive phone calls!
And then La says Khushi has come, and his whole demeanour changes completely - from trying to get rid of La, to complete attention to what she's saying ... Khushi? Khushi has come?
And of course he has to go to see for himself ...

i loved this change in him...thankfully La was too full of herself at the moment else i wud hv felt bad for her, for once!

Khushi waiting for La ... as she sees Arnav, her face softens, as though she was waiting for him, as though she is glad to see him, was wanting to see him ... and his softens too ... but he looks away, and she remembers his harsh words about parents, and her face hardens, she looks away as well ... but now he has to try, so he comes down (literally, figuratively he's not quite there yet) ...
Awkward silence ... he can't find the words ... she doesn't want to ...
And La drags her away ... stolen looks again, but out of synch this time ...

Of course he has to follow her to the party ... why has that apology become so important and urgent?!

Because she's always on his mind ... as he is on hers, much to her own annoyance! And even more to her annoyance, why does he land up just when she's thinking about him?
So when he tries to talk to her, she tells him to go away, go to La ... short fuse again ... hers blows, so does his ...How dare you, yes, I dare, you haven't bought daring ... fortunately she has the sense to stop before she reaches his family this time ...

oh yeah...good sense prevailed JIT...else she wud have said something she didnt cuz i cant really see any reason for her to badmouth his family..they have more than welcoming, barring mamiji!

His next words made me laugh ... what do you think, Khushi Kumari Gupta, that I've come here to talk to you? Dude, isn't that exactly why you've come here?! And uh oh, back to jagah again ... thankfully, not aukat this time. And Khushi sweetheart, I love you a lot, but seriously, if you shout at him, you have to expect he will shout back, so stop crying when he does ... It's unfair! Although as usual, her tears affect him enough to recall him to his main purpose - I've come here to say sorry, to say sorry ... hey bhagwan, Arnav, one would think saying sorry was more difficult than climbing Mount Everest ...

I AGREE! this time Khushi's crying was uncalled for - u cant use tears in an agrument to render the counter-party defenseless - its not fair play! guess it was only brought abt to get Arnav back on track - else, he toh was getting carried away into an argument with her, as always!! 😆

But as usual, she's gone again ...

Gazebo ... Khushi stands alone, still upset. Arnav goes slowly towards her, she senses him before she sees him, gives him one look and turns to leave. He calls her name, she keeps going, and he grabs hold of her - more gently than usual. But his fuse has blown again ... probably because he just doesn't know how to say what he has to. And so he shouts ... don't walk away when I'm talking to you, you always do that, since morning you've driven me crazy ...
She's flummoxed ... You're the crazy one, I haven't even seen you the whole day ... but if you want to talk, go ahead ... say what you have to!

@bold - haha, she caught him!

And oh boy ... is that an apology? Or an apology for an apology?! A furious release for his own frustration, his own guilt ... but definitely no recognition of what he put her through ... he's sorry because she's an orphan like him, he's sorry because he saw his own pain reflected in her, but her pain?! He hasn't even scratched the surface yet!

Pat to the CVs for this part - was well thought out...a straightforward apology wud have seemed so out of character - spitting it out like fire made it more believable - plus our Khushi is smart enuf to understand his anger now as is obvious from her reaction - 'aap sorry bolna chahte the?'

And that's what she tells him ... so all this while, you were wanting to say sorry? For what? Why would you, Mr ASR say sorry to me, Khushi Kumari Gupta? How can you? You don't even know anything about me ... Ok wait, I'll tell you ... I was eight when my parents died. I didn't know what death was. For a long time, I waited for them to come back. Do you want more? Even today I believe they've become stars, and so I sleep with stars hanging over my bed. Even today I'm scared of fast cars, of the dark, of sleeping alone. Even today I hope this is all a bad dream, and one day I'll wake up and they'll be back.

Loved Sanaya in this part - she excels in such scenes and she nailed it, yet again!
👏 she really makes u feel her pain, her fears..thru her eyes and her voice...classic Sanaya! no wonder Arnav cracked open so easily 😉😆

And he closes his eyes ... does he have the same hope inside him? the same dreams, the same fears? And for the first time, he begins to see her ... the real her, behind that ever-talkative, ever-chirpy face.
But she's not done yet.
So now you know everything about me. Now say sorry?

this dialogue was brilliant n totally unexpected - so naive and yet it had a purpose - amazing! a pat again! 👏 and Sanaya delivered it perfectly...

But he can't. The word, so difficult to say a little while ago, because it was such a big thing for him to say, now seems so small in front of her pain.

And as usual, she misreads him.
But how can you say sorry to me? Because I'm not of that haisiyat, am I?

she does love to retort with his own taunts - makes it all the more meaningful!

His own words, his own taunts, thrown back at him from a person as broken as him on the inside. She turns to leave. He says her name once. She stops. Looks back, he still can't say it. He looks away, she knows he won't say it.
Without looking at her, still struggling with the word. It finally emerges.

Sorry.

She looks back at him in disbelief. He turns to look at her, and when he's looking at her, the second time is easier. It comes from within, from the heart.
Sorry.

And she sees this time it's real.
I'm really sorry.

oh i loved the change in d 1st and 2nd sorry - first was somewot forced...second completely genuine! fantastic acting by Barun..

And she can't take it any more ... seeing her pain in his eyes ... she turns and runs from there ... leaving him looking after her ... feeling another's pain for the first time in years, her pain piercing through that shell he's made around himself, her pain cracking through the ice surrounding his heart.

and this is the part that i loved the most in your post - this is why i enjoy reading ur take on a scene... u bring so much more meaning to a scene...brilliant Dia, simply WOW! 👏👏
the reason Arnav never apologised to anyone for the longest of time was he cudnt feel their pain / hurt but one Khushi made him see her pain, her dears - he did and he made up for it wonderfully!

👏Again Sanaya made me cry ... and Barun with that last look, did me in!

The last scene - Sibling love ... but they both are still struggling to get the facades back into place ... Khushi asks for time out to compose herself, for a cup of tea, Arnav just doesn't want to talk.

And when Khushi does talk, it's all about Laad Governer and how difficult it was for him to say sorry. Far easier to keep that in her mind than talk about why it was so difficult for her to hear it from him, why she told him everything about herself, why it was so important for her that he understand her, and why his genuine hurt for her moved her so much that she had to run away.

And Arnav is still stuck on how easy other people find it to say sorry, and why he found it so difficult! And why that 'sorry' has become the focus of his life!

i liked this scene - 'ek minute mein 5 baar sorry bol diya!!' - the look on Arnav's face 😆

Side note - Anjali bitiya, release your chotey from your pallu and worry about your own husband! Arnav is in good hands, I really can't say the same about you! 😆haha, good one

thanks for this wonderful post Dia! 😊

Thanks cinderella ... and @bold ... so true ... not only do they show their wounds to each other, but hide the wounds they give each other from the rest of the world ...
