Akash is Arnav's Mama's son.. they are cousins. They are not brothers in relation.

In India.. cousins are brothers only. Usually people will refer to them as Mamera bhai etc..but brothers nonetheless.

Aakash is younger than ASR. He calls him bhai (term used for elder brother). I wish they would show more interactions between these two. The casting directors really did nice work in choosing actors for Barun, Anjali and Arnav. They do look related.

With Khushi and Payal as well, it was good choice. Payal and Khushi don't look like siblings which does make sense since there is no blood relation between these two.

I am very close to my sister and can totally empathize the relation between gupta girls. Although I think Payal's reaction to ASR could have been directed better. The words she said were strong enough "aakhir kyon pareshan kar rahe hain aap isse .." but he didn't seem much affected by those.

But I thought Khushi is Garima's niece who raised her as her daughter, because of what Bua-ji said about Khushi being Garima's sister's child
So in this case, Khushi & Payal are related by blood as cousins, but consider themselves as sisters

Whatever may be relation between Aakash & Arnav and Payal & Khushi they all are going to reside in RAIZADA MENSION together.
I agree with uaestar definitely it will be fun to watch khushi-payal relation in the show at that time.
But I dont think it will have any effect on bond shared by this brothers and sisters only payal will be scared of ASR I suppose.
otherwise khushi and aakash also have a good tuning.
