what is the meaning of grey character?

i read in an article that shyam is positive and practical. his character will turn grey when he will know that khushi loves arnav not him. is grey means complete negetive or negetive character? i cant understand. pls reply me

out and out villainy (that is black) and completely nice (that is white) so grey will be good person with some negative shades as well

Complete negative character and grey have some difference. Negative is black. Positive is white. Grey is something inbetween both

A grey character means one who is a mixture of black and white - bad and good.

That is what I love about this show...the characters are not one-dimensional...

When Mami was introduced, it appeared that she would be the vamp...and though she is always at loggerheads with Nani and opposes Khushi, we have since seen that she defends Anjali and the rest of the Raizadas ...

Similarly, Shyam is good with Buaji and seems to care about Anjali, yet he has this other totally vile side to him...

Grey Character ; Normally a good guy but under certain condition esp if the said condition will benefit him or his purpose ..using it sometimes by breaking trust or having a dual face etc etc etc [ shorry aaj ka epi effect !! 😉 ] ..He is a guy who skirts the line between goodness n bad..
