Barun Sobti is becoming more famous for sure and it is totally 100% deserved and I am extremely happy for that. I simply love this man. But for me, he arrived and left me in a pool of drool and a permanent resident on the floor in a swoon since last year May.

It is incredible to me and a testament to his talent that after doing such a fabulous job as Shravan - within 3 months, he has turned around to give us the completely opposite and engaging ASR. He's just awesome...and delicious.

We were all treated to his versatality even earlier, when he showcased all his acting prowess in BHPH.

As Arnav he only confirmed his worth and the faith of all his fans, the PH and the channel has in him.

We are indeed lucky to see him portray a character of contrasting paradox.

But i agree, today his acting has completely bowled me over. ASR or should i say the Indian Mr. Darcy, I guess it fits but being a huge huge fan of Jane Austen and being totally in love with North and South, I still prefer Mr. Darcy. Somehow Arnav just seems colder and more brutal, don't you think? But i guess the more brutal you show a character the more the transformation affects you..Except I hope we never see a complete transformation. I liked how even in the end of both those brillaint novels, the essence of Mr. Darcy remained though minus the pride and the arrogance taken a knotch down..Same with Thorton..So i hope the transformation of ASR is not too drastic.
Anyhow i hope this makes sense if it does'nt, blame it on the fact that i was talking trying to compare two of my all time favorite characters to someone who has recently made me a crazy fan girl. Sadly Barun is married in real life ;)

now i watch em cuz i think hes improved...even in serious expressionless faces..he reveals a lot with his eyes n stuff..

the first photo of him..he looks realllyyy sweet n ahndsome..hehe

n i loved his character in BHPH...it was a lot more fun!

We fans of Barun Sobti were waiting for this and were confident that he will win everyones heart .

If members who frequented the forum during the early days remember that in one of my posts in reference to the first interview of sarun together I wrote that

"off-screen Barun lets his costars do all the talking but onscreen it is completely different . Just wait and watch ."

Today we fans are so happy that at last Barun Sobti is getting the love , fan-following and recognition that he deserved even during his Shravanistic days .

Shravans role in BHPH was also a very complex role and Barun did it with such elan and ease, Guys who have not watched BHPH just watch it . Then you will really be able to grasp how versatile Barun Sobti. is .

He is a gem , a diamond , the Kohinoor itself
