Hello Everyone. Namaste,Salaam and Howdy.!! Was away for a week due to professional reasons and couldn't be active here. Now that am back and watched this whole week's episodes , I would like to share some of my thoughts and impressions with you all.
The first day of this show didn't impress me much. There was a lot of general introductions of the characters going on, the immediate cutting and comparisons of the leads, the atmosphere and the arena of this drama getting unfolded, all of this was to be expected.
Slowly during the course of the rest of the epidsodes, I started getting a grip of the characters, their nature, the seed idea of this storyline etc. I must say it was very slowly making a headway in my impression of IPK.
Barun as an actor has proved himself and here he is doing it again. An excellent portrayal of an angry young man, without much overacting or flexing his muscles or staring his opponent out. His body language and subtle movements of his facial muscles (including his stubble) his simmering volcanic anger under restraint and , clipped dialogues all does immense justice to the Arnav, who's been cheated and is out to seek his revenge.
But it was exasperating to see her just crying and accepting her predicament dished out to her by Arnav.(in the form of doctored video clips). She could have shown more guts and stand up to those people who jeered her, be it the public, the goondas or the reporters. Her character seemed strong willed girl one moment and them genial lovable the next and then a cry baby accepting everything very meekly the next moment. But she has great sense of comic timing( which seem to suit her to a TEE) and looking forward to see clashes of comedy and seriousness, between her and Arnav.
Probably the CVs are yet to give a shape for her true nature which can't oscillate between all these expressions at the drop of a hat.(Sanaya fans;this is not about the actor but about her character, so no offence meant!)
Lastly other characters, except Payal and her father, didnt make much impact on me. The Bua was overreacting and the mother hardly showing much expressions. Anjali is yet to make a mark.
