This week we saw some major developments as in Kavita was fully revealed to us...after merely hinting at her presence. She seems to be a deeply scarred soul who is in contemplation of the supreme being, in her BR...that has been converted into a mini temple...to pray for succour and justice or to avenge the wrong done to her. She shuns all company..including that of her own mother and fasts and prays. An extremely pious and deeply spiritual and religious lady.
Aastha / Sapna was seen wearing an orange or peach color sari..paired with a floral blouse in white, which had red flowers in it. She looked warm, aglow and ravishing in that and I compared her to that of an orange ice cream, that is tart and sweet...surprising you with the burst of intense flavour.
She wanted to explore and see who lived in Baba's former BR and so went in, opening the doors when her shadow was first cast into the room. Kavita had her back to her and was shown worshipping Bappa who was dressed in a red dhoti, had a white upper body and was covered with a red cloth. On the mantle where Bappa reclined in all his glory was a puja thali with some adgarbattis or incense sticks and a diya or lamp that was lit and also a dhoop stick...with wisps of smoke curling up from the incense sticks, the dhoop stick and the lamp that shone steadily. There were also some marigold flowers on the thali and Kavita herself was shown wearing a sari in shades of red / orange.
I will try to decipher the symbolism of each. Please bear with me.
ORANGE COLOUR.
IT IS ESSENTIALLY A CHEERFUL COLOUR, THA RADIATES WARMTH AND HAPPINESS, A COMBINATION OF RED THAT STIMULATES THE PHYSICAL ENERGY WITH THE CHEERFULNESS OF YELLOW.
IT BRINGS SPONTANEITY, ADVENTURE AND RISK TAKING, KEEPING ONE MOTIVATED DURING TOUGH TIMES AND T LOOK ON THE BRIGHT SIDE OF LIFE.
SAPNA WHILE WEARING THE ORANGE SARI DECIDES TO LOOK INTO THE FORBIDDEN ROOM. IT WAS A RISK TAKEN BY HER DESPITE BEING ASKED TO KEEP AWAY FROM THAT ROOM AND NOT ASK FOR MORE INFO OR BE INQUISITIVE. SHE WAS RADIANT THAT DAY AND BROUGHT CHEER AND LAUGHTER INTO THE KIDS LIFE BY PLAYING WITH THEM AND EXHIBITING WARMTH AND CARE WHEN MISHTI FELL DOWN. IT CAUGHT THE EYE OF HER BOSS INDRU WHO WAS STILL DEEPLY IN LOVE WITH HIS DEAD WIFE AND HAD THWARTED EVERY ATTEMPT BY THAKUMA TO GET HIM REMARRIED.
THE COLOUR GIVES THE POWER OF LISTENING TO, HEARING AND SEEING. IT BRINGS FORTH WISDOM INTO OUR HEARTS AND MIND AND BRINGS UNDERSTANDING...WHICH IS IMPARTED IN AN ORANGE LIGHT. WHEN COUNSEL FROM HEAVEN LIGHTS UP LIKE A LIGHT BULB IN OUR BRAIN.
WE HAVE SEEN SAPNA PRAY FERVENTLY TO BAPPA TO OFFER HIS GUIDANCE AND SUPPORT TO THEM IN THESE TOUGH TIMES EVERY SINGLE TIME. HE HAS DEFINITELY COME TO THEIR AID AND RESCUED THEM FROM TROUBLE NUMEROUS TIMES. HE WAS HER SAVIOUR WHEN MAMI CAUGHT HER EAVESDROPPING...LISTENING TO HD N INDRU'S CONVO, SEEING THE HATRED IN AHILYA WHEN SHE BURNT THE AGNIHOTRI INFO ON THE OPEN GAS FLAME TO ASHES...GAVE FORTH AN IDEA TO SWTICH THE HOTEL FOOD BILL WITH THE LAUNDRY BILL...
INCENSE STICKS OR AGARBATTIS
The fragranced sticks play an important role in improving the condition of psychological disorders in human being. People suffering from depression feel better because of the pleasant smell. The pleasant fragrant uplifts the mood and makes people more agile by reducing stress and anxiety. Incense stick reduces the body odour. It also relieves body aches and pain.
The purpose of burning agarbatti is to purify the bad air. The holy smoke prevents unwanted bad energy and bad spirit from entering home. This is used for fragrance which symbolically suggests the presence of the deity and the love of deity.
KAVITA SEEMED TO BE SUFFERING FROM KIND OF MENTAL DISORDER WHERE SHE HAS COMPLETELY WITHDRAWN FROM THE WROLD AT LARGE, CONFINING HERSELF TO HER ROOM AND SPENDING HER TIME IN PRAYER AND SILENCE, SOMETIMES LOOKING AT OLD PHOTOS WITH TEARS ROLLING DOWN HER EYES. SHE WAS SHOWN LOOKING AT PICS OF NIRANJAN IN HIS YOUNGER DAYS, LOOKING HAPPY AND CAREFREE...THE QUESTION ARISES DID HE ABANDON HER, BETRAY HER LOVE, SNATCH AWAY A CHILD BORN OF HER WOMB OR MENTALLY AND PHYSICALLY TORTURED HER OR MISTOOK HER BEHAVIOUR TO BE THAT OF A LOOSE WOMAN..WITH NO MORALS...WHATEVER SEEMS TO BE THE CASE...IT IS ONLY DEEPENING THE AIR OF MYSTERY AROUND HER AS SHE IS UNABLE TO COME OUT OF IT , TO LEAD A NORMAL LIFE, MUCH TO THE DESPAIR OF HER AYI..THAT IS AHILYA. THAKUMA IS USING THE POWER AND MONEY OF INDRAJEET SARKAR FOR HER OWN ENDS TO WREAK HAVOC, DRIVE THE AGNIHOTRIS TO THE GROUND NEVER TO RAISE THEIR HEADS UP AGAIN, TO MAKE NA PAY FOR EVERY TEAR SHED BY HER DAUGHTER. THIS WAS CLEAR WHEN SHE BURNT THE OLD NEWSPAPER CLIPPINGS AND ARTICLES THAT WERE PAINFULLY GATHERED AND USED TO STRIKE AT THE VERY HEART OF THE AGNIHOTRIS, SNATCHING AWAY THEIR HOME AND THEIR BUSINESS TURNING THEM HOMELESS AND PENNILESS. SEEMS TO A PLAN THAT HAS BEEN BREWING FOR A NUMBER OF YEARS. Kavita burns the agarbattis to dispel the gloom in her life, to purify the air and also worships her lord Ganesha devoutly and fervently.
THE LAMP.
In almost every Indian home a lamp is lit daily before the altar of Lord.
All auspicious functions and moments like daily worship, rituals, and festivals and even social occasion like inaugurations commence with lighting of lamp, which often maintained right through the occasion.
Light symbolizes knowledge, and darkness, ignorance.
Lord is the knowledge principle", who is the source, the enlivener and the illuminator of all knowledge. Hence light is worshiped as Lord itself.
Knowledge removes ignorance as light removes darkness. Also knowledge is lasting inner wealth by which all our outer achievement can be accomplished.
A flame of a lamp always burns upwards. Similarly we should acquire such knowledge as to take us towards the higher ideals.
A single lamp can light hundreds more just as a knowledge can give it to many more. The brilliance of light does not diminish despite its repeated use to light many more lamps.
THE SARKAR MANSION IS IN DARKNESS AS BAPPA HAS BEEN CURTAINED OFF AND NO PRAYERS ARE OFFERED OR LAMPS LIT BEFORE HIM. A STARK CONTRAST TO THE TIMES WHEN THE AGNIHOTRIS LIVED THERE AND WORSHIPPED HIM. HE WAS THEIR BENEFACTOR, GUIDING LIGHT AND RELIEVED THEM OF THE PEEDAS OR SINS...TO AN EXTENT. HAS ALWAYS COME TO THEIR AID, IN TIMES OF DISTRESS. AASTHA PRAYING FOR SHLOK'S LIFE WHEN HE WAS KIDNAPPED, BRINGING NA TO MUMBAI, REUNITING HIM WITH HIS FAMILY, GIVING BUDDHI TO VARAD AND SOJAL AND NOW GUIDING ASHLOK IN THEIR BATTLE AGAINST THE SARKARS.
Aastha did not succeed in seeing Kavita's face but she heard her voice. looks like it will be Shlok to come face to face with her, draw her out of her self imposed exile. It will be Ashlok who will bring her out and make her draw back the curtained Bappa, reinstate his worship with the lighting of the lamps anew. They will get the knowledge of why the Sarkars snatched away everything belonging to the Agnihotris. It will shock them to their toes, the truth and Ashlok will deal with it..by being there for each other. Helping Kavita overcome her pain and give her justice...but will it be at the cost of NA who is going to lose his prized possession, his son Shlok yet again to Kavita whom he has wronged. Will this break Anjali who has displayed tremendous courage and picked up the pieces of her tattered pride and self respect to emerge as a strong, courageous and determined woman. Anjali now has attained the love and respect of her children and husband at last...but will her happiness be short-lived??
There were many wisps or curls of smoke from the agarbattis and the dhoop stick...going upward...meaning that like them Kavita is dainty, delicate...a mere puff can blow her away...in fear of...her past...who has been completely forgotten by NA, a mere speck of dust in his past...that has no bearing on his life at all, until now when it has affected his family the most.
This track has many interesting possibilities and if handled well, will be very engaging.
