Hi Sneha!!!
Such an interesting topics you have chosen - unbelievable!!!!

It is not my subject or expertise but I try to corelate evironment and people's inner feelings with the colour!!!!

I really gained a lot of knowledge through your topics - which would always attract me!!!

Lialac is regarded as very girlish colour symbol of beauty and femininity in Western world !!!! Lavender is associated with Romantic mentality!!!

Purple signifies dignity/ royalty/ independent mentality/ wealth/ honour - since Victorian age women from upper class prefer to wear purple dresses in social gathering to reveal their dignity,/ weaths!!! Purple was Cleopatra's favourite colour ( believed!!!!) also.

SHLOK during Jyoti's marriage time once mentioned that he loved to see a woman in purple - in other word, - I believed that he wanted to say that he loved to see independent dignified woman in life !!!!

Purple is a combination of red and blue colour!!! and quite a rare clour of nature that's why it signifies wealth and extravaganza!! ( it has got the energy of red & integrety of Blue. Now Many word leaders prefers to wear purple neck tie instead of red - as it is less aggressive!!!

We, all know, that, white symbolizes purity, innocence, / detachment/ isolation/coolness/ peace/ reconciliation /compassion/ cleansing etc !!!!

Therefore, in Westerm world only Virgin girls are entitled to wear White during their Wedding as a sign of purity!!!
Hindu widows in some part of India used to wear only WHITE Sarees - Hindu widows are symbol of purity, very much isolated - they were not entitled to participate in many social activities!!!!

In Western worild, we wear black dresses as a sign of mourning at the funeral party whereas in some part of India, people wear white dresses at the funeral as a sign of mourning with pure heart!!!

During war ,enemy party shows white flag as a symbol of peace or subservience or reconconciliation.

We have seen in EBP, during ROPE partition time, Aastha in the terrace , came to SHLOK keeping a white curtain in front of her like a whit flag for reconciliation.

Physics physics of COLOUR

Colour of the objects depends on the selective absorption/ reflection of transmission of different wavelengths of lights

White light or sun light is the combination of different frequencies light wave lengths. White objects appears white as it reflects all colours .

Wheras BLACK objects appreas black it absorps most of the vissiblecolour.

ONCE in front of media, SHLOK mentioned to Aastha sarcastically that she has no colour that's why she is white, in other word, I interpreted like that she is a very giving personality, gives back to others all the time like white colour reflecting all wavelenths of light., side by side she is pure and inocent at heart!!!!

She also cleanses SHLOKS all sadness with her innocence and compassion!!!

Aastha told that BLACK is SHLOK's favourite colour and he also agreed with her!!!

. I interpreted in this way that like black colour , SHLOK himself also absorps or likes to keep within himself all colours of life (good / bad, & happiness/sadness) and ultimately became black!!!!

SHLOK also likes have full control of everything to get power and prestige and authority like grabbing all oppotunities by himself like BLACK colour absorbed all colour and becomes most prominent!!!

RED, GREEN & BLUE are he primary colours and we can get other colour of the vissible light spectrum by mixing these three primary colour.

Swathya too good 👏👏 Your fascination with colors is very much prominent in the way u have analyzed .

I am glad that u are finding this topic interesting and knowledgeable 😃

Regarding purple , there was a rule in france very long back that any other person other than royalty caught wearing that color would be beheaded .Scary Right !!! It played such an important part in the royal life . WOW!! i dint know about cleopatra , thanks for sharing that 😊.

Lilac is feminine , and that's why it is known as the grown up pink . I love this particular shade soo much that i have everything right from a hair clip to hand bag in this color 😆😆 My mom and now my hubby is tired of seeing this color in my wardrobe 😉. He tells even ur face will become purple one day 😆😆 Now i plan to get a small room painted lilac 😳

Your analysis on shlok and aastha is very nice ..i couldn't relate much to them other than what i was able to infer in my post . I remember the rope partition track though and yes white is peace offering too . We have seen it many wars as well .

i dint want to point out the science part because i thought it would get too heavy and wanted to just concentrate on the inner minds 😃

Hi Sneha,
Thanks for sharing the infirmation of FRENCH ROYAL RULE in view of Purple!!!! - such a horrifying story of all medieval age!!! - your writing is very informative!!!!!

Annother story of purple - as a sign of mourning for a longer period - black with purple border or dark purple !!!!
The Bishop's gown has - also purple colour,

I also like lilac violet very much!!!
My bed room's interior decoration is all with violet shades:

My bedroom's four walls- light violet colour and ceiling white painted. All curtains are violet and dark purple printed and my bed room TV cover also same as window curtain. White veil curtain next to violet printed curtain in the windows. , Bed sheet, pillow cover , duvet cover- all either violet/ purple shades or white or purple shades. Violet also gives me PEACE and TRANQUILITY of my MIND and side by side - white ceiling gives me CLARITY OF MIND.

@ bold - I agree with you but as a science student, My automatic inclination is to explain the inner meaning of everything with scientific example!!!!! - Tragedy of my life!!!!

@ bold - I am just not able to control laughing ..I am also in that tragedy group only 😆😆😆 . So true, violet and white is a very pleasing combination. Today , i got a set of lilac sofa covers ,dining table covers and new bedsheets all lilac 😆😆 i got this roll of the eye expression and an ufff 😉.
I am getting a makeover done for my home so I am putting in the colors i like for the house interiors .

I always do shopping for my hubby - all the time buying various types/ various designs, various shades of blue shirts mainly, after blue , I think he has black collection and then other colours !!!!

I always like men in blue or black !!!!

In February I am going to attend one Wedding in India . and I have asked to buy for me Lilac / Sky blue or Firozi based saree/ lahenga!!!!!

White is just not my color. too difficult to maintain. Having lived with white walls for a decade just made me hate white walls. Now, every room in my house is painted a different shade or a combination of 2 colours. 3 walls have 1 color and the other is a darker shade to complement the lighter shade.

Purple is the sign of royalty, esp in the wester countries where the king or the royals would be robed in purple. I love lilac too or shades of purple.

Aastha wore a white sari with red roses for the 1st SR where Shlok was dressed in black or dark navy blue kurta. For the 2nd SR, both wore white, him a shirt and Aastha a diff white sari with red edging or border. The sheets, the lights around them were all white..symbolising the purity of their hearts at the time and her innocence. Before marriage, Aastha has been seen in a white salwar, in the scene where they go to check out the hall and Shlok takes those pheras with her in the guise of checking the space. Her dupatta caught on the fan too.

hey nimmy 😃 That's exactly the same reason why i try to avoid white 😆😆 In all those scenes , white is representing aastha's innocence and purity . I have seen only the pic of the 1st SR .

In a particular caste , white was used as a bed spread for newly married SR . Its actually getting less nowadays because the intention behind white sheets was not good and was like intruding privacy and kind of disgusting to do .

@bold in blue, yes and it would be waved like a flag the next morning. Now if the bride was not a virgin, had to come armed with chicken blood or goat's blood etc... ...horrible to even contemplate it.

if you haven't seen the epi, go watch that one, very intense and emo, heartbreaking too...

Thankfully my hubby doesn't bother or he isn't very choosy when it comes to shopping and i am completely opposite 😉😉 . So when it comes to selecting clothes, he allows me to buy whatever i select 😃 No argument in this 😆😆

Yes, that was exactly what used to happen . Imagine the poor brides who faced gore difficulties just because there was no blood stains on the sheet

I watched the 1st SR scene yesterday . First i was watching with open eyed wow wow expressions and then i started crying 😭😭 so sad poor aastha really has come such a long way . Even in recent separation tracks also , aastha only had to prove she was correct and then shlok apologized to her . I dont get why in every serial they try to show that only women should struggle and men can always correct their mistake with a sorry .
