PART 6
In one of the most luxurious hotel in Mumbai, a car halted in front of the door. There came a handsome guy of about 6 ft from the car. He had coolers over his eyes and approached the reception. The girl in the reception gazed towards him with, "What can I do for you, Sir?"
"Well. I have booked a room for me", said the tall figure. "May I know your name please?" asked the receptionist.
"Shlok... Shlok Agnihotri" came as a reply from the man. "Wait a minute Sir"- Receptionist said and was going through the computer before her. Meanwhile, Shlok was glancing at the hotel which is going to be his home for nearly a month. We have to say, he was quite impressed with the infrastructure. Wouldn't he? It was one of the famous hotels in the town.
"Thanks for waiting patiently Sir. Your room no. is 418 which is in the fourth floor. You can find the lift in this way towards the corner" she said pointing towards his right side. "Hope you enjoy your stay over here" she greeted with a sweet smile. Hospitality' he sighed. Thanking her, he went towards the lift. Meanwhile, a house keeper was following him with his bags which have to be kept in his room.
After reaching his room, he sent off the room boy and took a look at the room. Then he loosened his tie and lied on the bed to get some sleep. But, his sleep was far away as the memory of the girl whom he saw today was haunting him. He recalled what happened on his way to the hotel.
**Flashback**
It was usually his routine to have a long drive. In fact, instead of routine, addiction will be perfect. A drive alone for many hours listening to his favourite songs and enjoying himself throughout the journey gives him immense pleasure. Now, how can he miss this opportunity when he has to travel to Mumbai from Pune? Despite of his mother's warning, he set off to the town in his car. At this moment, here he is nearly ending his journey. Enjoying the drizzling outside his car, he was driving slowly. It has been nearly three long hours since he has reached Mumbai. He was just pacing around with his car enjoying the beauty of the city. Finally after caught by rain, he left his sight-seeing aside and currently on his way to the hotel where he has booked a room for himself to relax.
That's when his eyes caught a beautiful sight. A girl in her mid-twenties was enjoying the shower. He was enthralled for a second by the charming beauty in front of him. He hasn't seen her face yet. Is it necessary to view the face to see the splendour?
He was trying to have a glimpse of her. It seemed like she has heard his silent wish. She turned around showing her attractive face towards him waving her hands in air happily. Finally, he got to see the undying exquisiteness before him. "What a girl!" he self-thought about her. It seems as if he was enjoying watching her childish acts. She was asking the rain to embrace her and was trying to hug the rain. He was smiling seeing that. After what seemed to be an hour, he came back to his senses by the horn of the vehicle passing by. He looked at the girl for one last time and drove on his way.

"Why am I thinking about that girl? May be she is beautiful. But, haven't you seen any of them? What is the speciality in her that keeps you reminding of that face?" he asked himself.
"When I saw that girl, I felt of a strange feeling arising inside me which I haven't experienced before. Why were your hands urging you to hold the girl in your arms? Please keep that kind of thoughts aside and have a deep slumber Shlok" he scolded himself to go to sleep.
But, he was just changing positions as e couldn't get the sleep which he was longing for. Every time he closed his eyes, that tiny, drenched beautiful figure came in his mind and he sprang open his eyes. Feeling defeated to get rid of the thoughts, he moved towards the bar attached in a corner of the room to serve himself with a drink.

Astha came to her flat drenched. But, her face was pale due to constant crying. As Rahul and Tina have gone to Pune, she had no one to worry about her soaked figure. Opening the door, she straightly went towards the closet and opened it. She searched for something in it and found a bag. Unlocking it, she found a photo of herself and Shlok standing together with two of their friends. Tears instantly flood down her cheeks.
"How many times I have tried to forget you. But, why do you make it hopeless for me every time? Even when you are not with me, I always feel your presence with me. Even today, it was like you were somewhere near me and watching me. Why do I get those feelings Shlok?"
She cried for some time. With minutes passing by, she could not control her cry and she broke down saying, "You have to overlook him Astha. Can't you retain what happened that day? How you were accused for no fault of yours? After what all have happened with you, do you think he is fit for you that you are still hovering upon him?" She raised question towards herself, but as every day, it went unanswered. When you love someone truly one-sided, and if the person degrades and humiliates you, your life after that will be as of a living hell. It can't be expressed in words and that is what Astha was going through now. Whenever she tried to eradicate Shlok's thoughts from her mind, he will be glued in her heart more than last time.
After what seemed to be ages, there were no cries heard. A girl was sleeping on the floor with tear marks on her face holding a photo and was enjoying her dreams with the man she loved and in love with.

The next day, Shlok had an appointment with a person to make final arrangements regarding his job. So, he got up early and went to see them after getting ready. After sometime, he was in their home. Of course, all the dealings will be done in the office. But, they being his father's friends, he thought of continuing the formalities in their home.
Shlok entered their home and was received by an old lady. "Arrey Shlok beta, How are you? Uncle has told that you are paying a visit today. Aao. Sit here dear. I will make something for you to drink. How are your parents?"
Smiling at his aunt's non-stop talking; he said "I am fine aunty. And my parents are also fine. Could you please call uncle soon? I have some important work to complete."
"You have come after years and how can we leave you so soon?" asked his uncle who was coming wiping his hands.
Shlok bent to take blessings from his uncle and spoke, "It's nothing like that, Vishy uncle. I will surely spend my time with you"
"You both keep talking about your business. Meanwhile, I will prepare something for you both" said his wife and left the both. They went to the study and discussed about the company.
"I may or may not return to India back. So, I want you to take over the company fully. Also, I have a humble request to you from my part" articulated Vishwanathan.
"Uncle, when I was opposed by my Dad to start a new business of my own, it was you who encouraged me and now, you are giving your own company to me. I am very much thankful to you. And here, you are using such great words as request. I am waiting to hear your order Sir" mimicked Shlok like a servant.
"I didn't give you for free cost. You paid the money and its then I gave the company. So, I didn't do much. About the request, this company is like a second family to me and all the workers here are like my family members. I wish that you treat them as your own and take care of them well"- Vishwanathan
Shlok- "Sure, uncle. I will keep up your words"
Vishwanathan- "It may take nearly two days long. So, you may take charge of the company on this Friday. I will make the arrangements"
Shlok- "Ya. Sure uncle"
Then, they had the lunch together with some chit-chat. Shlok departed from them in the evening and reached his hotel.

It was Friday. Astha was running in her room getting ready. Just then Tina entered. Seeing Astha, she asked, "Asthu, it's just 7:30 and why are you scuttling here and there like this? Are you up to something?"
Still searching something, "I have told you yesterday na? My new boss is arriving today and being the P.A., I have to give the details about the company. I kept the file regarding that somewhere and now, I couldn't find it now" sighed Astha.
Being familiar with her friend's hunt, Tina moved towards the bed and took the duvet which was piled up near the pillow. There between the pillow and the bed lied the file. She thanked Tina and darted towards the door with a take care.
At 9:00 am, Astha, along with other staffs was standing in front of the company to receive their new M.D. She could hear some of her co-workers speaking.
Worker 1: Have heard that our new M.D. is young.
Worker 2: I have heard that too. And he is handsome as well.
Worker 1: How can you say about that?
Worker 2: I went to Vishwa Sir's home to get sign in a file. At that moment, I saw him. He is handsome enough to make any girl fall for her.
Worker 1: If it is so, then here after we can't expect any of the girls to see us.
Astha was sniggering hearing them. After some minutes, they saw a car approaching them. The car halted before the crowd and from the back door, emerged their M.D. Vishwanathan. Followed by him, a tall figure got out from the car. All girls gasped seeing him. But, there was one who was not gasping or salivating. It was none other than Astha. There were numerous expressions in her face- confusion, excitement, angry and finally shock.
"S...H...L...O...K" she whispered.
