To me the title is a humbling statement.. almost puts the fear of god or stirs one's personal goodness within one's selves. One's deeds have consequences good or bad. Many scriptures discipline , that what ills one sows in the path of others, very often grow up as wild thorns and nettles and choke one's very own existence. Its all about reaping what one sows. It s about Karma, ones deeds catch up someday..
Seeing the foe vanquished, condemned to be a life long partner with loneliness. It's significant how Advay stands on the side of the prison bars which boasts of freedom. While his foe Indrani stands on the side which states her captivity. Funnily there is no gloating in Advay's eyes.
Pensively he studies her silently. How it's her arrogance and conceit that imprisons' her and not just the metal bars of the cell. Yes she knows who he is, Dev! Impenitent she stands for robbing him of everything he had. Advay just watches her. A pompous yet pathetic being, minus an aorta of regret and apology in her body. Frigid she seems with her loss of past glory. He too was once like her, numb with the loss of his past glory , his family. She is infallible, indestructible! Nothing can harm her.
She taunts, but Advay sees his own past in her future! She'll see when her own blood and her husband abandons and disown her! loneliness will shatter her and bring down the edifice of her stately persona! Advay's eyes glisten with tears as he identifies his past years of misery and loneliness. With the suffocating isolation and seclusion in store for Indrani's future! Indrani gets her punishment furthermore, when the two priests who colluded with Indrani in condemning Advay's parents! now stand before Advay and condemn Indrani blaming her entirely! They too confirm it was Indrani and Yash who killed his parents! before her very stinging with fury eyes.. she watches the priests placing his father's Mahant's shawl on Dev's shoulder. Symbolically they restore and transfer his father's past respectability back to him. Justice is served eventually. Dev waited for sixteen years. But more so he waited for the right time! only the time was not of his preference ,but that of the deities choice. Dev learns the person who opened the pundits eyes is none other than his bushy tailed squirrel Chandni!
Yet another elder at the brink off losing a battle at the hands of Advay Singh Raizada. Suddenly things are falling into place for him. Maasi's antagonism towards Chandni, gives Advay much boldness to reaffirm Chandni's strengths, of familial loyalty, and to him!Maasi stands corrected by him, in his stand for Chandni. Contradicted Maasi, feels insecure she feels he's slipping out of her hands! She tries to dissuade him diplomatically from emotionally leaning towards Chandni. She may have on one hand atoned for the mistakes of her parents, but she reminds Advay that Chandni too is not without sin! Maasi blurts out does he love her..? surely he cannot, with her child issue?? Advay is honest enough to say no! But this no will soon change into yes.. Maasi's loses her ground completely ! When Meghna seeks a frantic audience , with Dev and tells him the truth about being the baby's mother! That Chandni took its responsibility when she failed to realize it as the mother! Maasi once again throws the spanners in the works! by accusing Megha of once again for lying like the rest of her lying cheating family! She suspects Chandni has sent her sister ,so she can squirm back into his life!! enough! Advay needs no more explanations! Neither does he require to give any more justifications to anyone regarding what he feels for Chandni all his heart needs is to go inhot pursuit for his Chandu!! Its deaf ears to Massi's dictates Advay runs to seek chandni!
Absent fathers... its a child's right to know the truth about it's parents, unless they are covered by the adoption act. It's interesting how both Chandni and Adi were unaware of a key truth about their fathers that has an impact ontheir lives.Chandni's father suffers from Dementia, a progressive deterioration of intellectual functions.. like memory.. as such even being around her he has been missing from her life. Chandni was in the dark about her parents dark deeds.. which certainly has dealt a tremendous blow to her life! Pooja , decides to explain the truth to Adi about his absent father! That he is never coming back! She empowers her single parent role into being the boy's mum and dad both! Adi will grow up as a child who will be equipped to deal with the realities of life simply because he is not kept in the dark by his next of kin ,his mother. Advay too from a young age grew up without knowing the whole truth about his parents death.. he possibly gathered bits and pieces from his Nani and Maasi.. as such he has the true likeness of being a child who is emotionally scarred quite a bit.. now he knows the truth! all three Chandni ,Adi , and Advay.. have been set free by the truth..
Chandni touches her father's feet in reverence.. this might be an act of farewell. As she may well be planning to leave the country.. she will always love him, despite his evil deeds. She is a lot more accepting of her father's misdeeds.. than that of Indrani's. As she has severed all ties with her! Maybe she feels Indrani did all her plotting with a sane mind, while her father may not be in mental state, to show due diligence?? Besides blood is thicker than water.. Yash is her real father.. while Indrani, Chandni fooled herself into believing was her mother...
Looking for his love.. Advay comes to Yash vasisht's house.. Advay feels humbled.. he acquires a heart felt apology from an ailing fading man.. an old man who despite his condition.. turns into a loving protective father. Where he backs his daughter by telling her husband that she is not guilty in any way..only himself and Indrani are part of the heinous plot.the course of true love never runs smooth.. Yash's memory fails him when a desperate Advay wants to know about Chandni's whereabouts!...chandni ? Dev? who are they..
Lovers sufferings ,pining for each other seem to be in balance. Whereas Chandni shed many tears over the years looking for her Dev..she met him as Advay ,spotted the Dev in him! but till now he gave her tears galore! Now her Dev frantically searches for her.. and is at a loss to trace.. crest fallen he literally cries out for her! Chandu... where are you?? Your Dev is searching for you??
Chandni too is out on a searching mission to return Dev his final lost property.. Pooja had intimated information about this lost property.advay returns home and talks to various searching parties to speed up their search for Chandni!!
Maasi nosey as she is, asks him the crucial question!Is he in love with Chandni??? Look her in the eye and answer.. Advay is crystal clear now about his answer! No dilly dallying! No doubts! Everything as clear as the soft light of divas lit before the altar of Ram and Sita! and Deva shapat! Yes he loves Chandni! that is what he feels for her.. love. all his life he grappled with the words.. what do I feel for chandu..?its love ,true love!
A knock on the door.. Advay's heart misses a beat! Chandni?? Instead this cheeky chap.. Advay had bumped into before.. got too chummy, with him.. too familiar a bit much.. all look at this entry.. yes? says Advay.. instead the cheeky rascal whistles... a familiar tune? Babba's tune? Maasi eyes well up with tears.. her heart flutters..Veer walks up to Advay and hugs him! this young man clung to his heart.. sobbing.. Advay knew this is Meeku..I looked high and low for you! Veer replies..well the real credit goes to Chandni! she sought me out! I asked her to return with me, but she said ..no.. Advay runs out again looking for Chandni!!
Passport in hand.. Chandni says goodbye to Meghu.. who tells her Advay is out looking for her!she can't just leave? Chandni had her mind made up.. cannot give more pain to him.. helped him to get justice. Punishment for the killers of his parents..my, last act is over and done with.. its curtains now.. Chandni walks away...into the sunset alone.. Mehgu phones the man who can stop her stubborn JI JI ... hamlet 53.6.10 17..
