Actually where is the link to that comment?

Cos from what i searched online, there doesnt seem to be anywhere where it says its for daily soaps.. In fact, as my memory can recall it was for daily soaps and not for finite shows. And IPK 3 was for that.

So he stuck to his words if he did say them didnt he?

And he also clarified regarding the comment as well. But i wanna know why some harp over it.

And no his comeback to the telly world wasn't supposed to be IPK3. SP had to play w it.

Link has already been posted. As I mentioned yes he said that, but lets move on shall we. Even I am saying why harp on that again & again. He left TV for a movie like MAMR. I am not saying he should not ve quit IPK1. I am just saying wish he had quit it for a good movie. Hopefully THMS gives him ample scope to shine & folks in Bolly notice him. He is much better than those overrated star kids in Bolly. That way Tamil movie industry is far better. Even newcomers ve a chance to shine. But Bolly is hopeless. I dont want him in a web series. I prefer he does a finite series like 24 or even something like Dahleez, POW. That will ve more scope for him to act!

Yeah he even said in retrospect mamr wasnt the best choice to debut with but he wanted to do so cos he needed that break then. And anyone is in still Work in progress unless u land yourself a mentor like KJo or someone.

Yeah Barun was nonchalant at that time. He felt he would make a mark in Bolly & even i felt it was tad disrespectful of him to talk about TV like that. Yeah we all know that Indian Telly world & the soaps suck but he could ve said the same in a more polite, inoffensive manner. But that is all water under the bridge. He learnt his lesson & is back on TV. Dont v all make mistakes. Why keep harping on the same thing again & again. Yes he made a disastrous career move, yes his movie flopped, yes his return to TV also was not that great. But as I said it happens with all of us. I hope he picks himself up & makes smart career choices. Not stuff like MAMR or IPK3. I hope Mohra had not been scrapped. He would ve really done well in a gritty cop thriller 😭

Word to all you said. Being a fan is fine, but being a "Blind" fan is not. I never was and never will be anyone's blind fan. Let's accept it. Barun made some bad career choices. MAMR and IPK3 were among them. He was disinterested in TV and made it obvious. He achieved fame and success from that medium and dissed it. That is not something people respond to well. I like him. But I can see why some people dont, and why some people call him arrogant and always point out these comments to discredit him. He brought it on himself by speaking this way. Anyone who "pretends" otherwise are just fooling themselves or being blind. We can like someone or be someone's fan, like their acting etc. But we don't have to act like they are perfect. Barun is also a normal guy. Not some God. He is somewhat overrated as well. I have to reluctantly accept it.

The fact is, he returned to the medium he dismissed some years ago. However, his return was not what was expected. It's not that easy to "Come back" after 5 years to a medium. The mistake was coming back as another ASR, in a show with the same name, same theme song, same love hate story etc. In this version they didnt even do justice to the hype and the story was a total disaster. The show was superficial and gimmicky. Gul has really lost her touch in telling this style of story now. Anyways, her shows are not known for their "depth".

ALL this is water under the bridge anyway. I hope the cast and crew get some good breaks in the future. For all those who think "critiszm" is only done by Haters, think again. A lot of us were fans of Season 1 and hoped something good will be presented to us. Yes I liked Sarun, but I am not obsessed with them. But Gul Khan was SO arrogant and dismissive of the fans that made IPK franchise a global success. She was silly enough to think she didn't need fan's support and can troll trolls and even fans. The woman is the pits and needs to grow up. She has not had ONE original thought in years and thought Sherali's costumes will "Sell" this show. Part 1 of the franchise was sold on a simple story, no big budget, and no big stars. Everyone was quite low profile. But the show became a hit and made stars of the cast and even the crew. Writers and directors became stars too. (Gautam Hedge, Ved Raj - writers. Lalit Mohan and Arshad Khan - Directors) GH writes Naamkarann now and LM is directing IB. So that proves that if a product is "Good" it usually finds an audience, appreciation and it sells. ONE actor cant sell a show. Especially if it's crap.

This show is ending coz it was badly done. No other reason. No amount of Sarun fans trolling could have made SP ax it if it was good and got ratings. In 3 months this show has never entered the Top 20. I don't think that can be excused in a Prime Time slot. So this show is getting axed for that reason. Not anything else. Please know this is my opinion, and I will not tolerate being talked down to by anyone for giving it.
