It's just now her layers has come undone . Now when we see how she is using a innocent girl she callsvher daughter it seems dark but thruth was she was same all along it's just we viwers we're not shown that side untill now. Women who 1 yr back got her step daughter abducted hoping that she never come back is no way good .

I mean to say she has been really consistent in her character killing advay's parents , get all their money ,killing a women in cold blood , to see chandni ,to hitting advay . She very well is bad but her love for her family brings her grey shade

So, for you the character of Indrani is consistent.
I suppose, from the beginning, the way they introduced Indrani, I had high hopes from her.
I wanted a villain who we could sympathize with.

Indrani as a loving mother to her 'three' daughters, and as a cunning and vicious woman.
BANG! I loved that idea.
Personally, when I see in tv serials, sisters and mothers turned evil out of jealousy and hate... I don't like it. My frustration is, that by showing that Indrani is the mastermind behind Chandni's kidnapping, they just showed her as a liar and money hungry witch all along.
What if they hadn't done that?

Chandni would have fought Advay tooth and nail that her mother could never do that. She is kind and loving to her. She has stood by her daughter when whole society was throwing mud to her face.
And when she finds her true face, when she finds out that because of her own mother, Dev's family was detroyed, it would be a conundrum.
On one side is her mother, who did what she did in the name of her daughters(including Chandni) and on one side is Advay. I think I would have loved to see that.

All in all, that is what I felt. I understand if you felt different.😊

P.S. Maybe her character has not done a 180. That's an exasperation😆
But I would have loved to see something different. I had this whole idea growing in my head that Indrani always felt more connected to Chandni, even though she isn't hers by blood. To ensure her family's status, she destroys Dev's family. In her head, it is what she had to do. So, when she finds out Advay's real identity, she wants to kill him and also make sure Chandni never finds out what she did, because she can't take it if Chandni hates her.
And then Advay finds out Chandni is innocent and he tells Chandni about Indrani. Chandni doesn't believe him. Then finds the truth. And that is major heartbreak for her.
Maybe then they show Indrani Vashishth at her worst. What happens when the one thing that was holding her back, i.e. now Chandni knows, is gone. She goes full on evil.
😆😆
See, I have it all figured out.

Anyways, they went the other way.
Indrani hates Chandni. Advay and Chandni will get married tomorrow. So, now I don't know what way will they go from now.
Why show Chandni being a martyr? Why show her so desperate for a mothers love? I don't know.

Dear Sister,

I appreciate what you are saying---that a grey character is far more interesting; however, for dramatic fiction/tv one needs a strong villain to generate serious obstacles for the Hero and Heroine.

As I always say, there can be no passion/romance without obstacles.

Moreover, in this story, as it has to do with a man avenging a deep loss, one requires a cruel villain who is responsible for that loss. Of course, the writers could have made a non-family member the chief villain, but having the [step] mother as villain, creates all sorts of potential for tension. The writers have created a perfect situation because not too far in the future Chandni will be forced to choose between two people she loves---Advay/Dev or Indrani. And what could be more dramatic than that!

Just my thoughts :-)

Dear Sister,
I agree with one thing you said. That by making the step mother the villain, there is a lot of potential for tension in the future. I agree.
But I would like to point out, that there are different types of villains. I think the most interesting villains are those, when you understand their motivations. When you can't help but feel as if, I hate her, but I kinda understand her motivations. Do you know what I mean?
I am starting to make my peace with how they shaped up Indrani. What else am I going to do?😆 Its either stop watching or stop complaining. I still like Advay and Chandni. So, its ok.

My only frustration is that if Indrani wasn't this money hungry, selling the daughter she raised her whole life without blinking kind of a woman, I would have grudgingly understood her. She did what she did for her family. Still does.
We all know there is going to be some redemption arc in the future. They pretty much confirmed itt when Chandni said she is never losing hope that her mother will love her in the future. It is very hard to redeem someone who can stoop that low.

That is my thought. What do you think?

Which bride wants to look like Chandani on her wedding day? Will they please stop this fancy dress parade or ramp walk or whatever is going on and give some decent costumes???

I actually liked Chandni's outfit😃
It is non-traditional, since I don't think you wear white in illahabadi weddings(I think🤔)
Anyways, I think Shivani wears it well.
Barun and PP's outfits are DISASTER😕
Also, during Mika's performance, no one was paying him any attention😆
Chandni's not interested, Advay's not interested😆
They are just like, ha kar tera kam bhai. Bad me jay shree krishna.

Thank you for your thoughtful comment.
What you describe---a Villain whose motives make him/her somewhat empathetic---is actually my favourite sort of Hero. I enjoy dark Heroes and even darker Villains. Sherlock-Moriarty.
These are preferences and it's wonderful that there is a world of material out there to satisfy all tastes.

Speaking as a writer, I maintain that the darker the revenge, for more formidable a villain ought to be. If Indrani is written with too much heart, it will negate Advay's justification to reclaim what he has lost.

I'm sorry I can't speak specifically on the current Chandni-Indrani relationship. I stopped watching IPK3 a month ago. I continue to pop in here for the Sisterhood and because I am an admirer of 4LionsFilms. I just prefer to not watch while writing an FF.

You really presented a different case for Indrani
That scenario would have been more interesting
