she is never bothered by darkness and today its more comforting than ever .she sat behind the mandir ,escaping the world . she tucked her knees and wrapped her hands around them holding herself tight. her slender fingers holding to her rock. her rock of strength. she held it dearly near her heart with her both hands. This rock is her stable ground when the whole world is falling apart, it never failed to give her strength. Her Dev always there for her. but today she is not sure of that. she gently rub the stone seeking warmth from the cold rock. She whispered ' You told me to accept my mistake dev , today your chandini did something terrible, if you see me now you might not recognize me...'
she recalls her memory with Dev , holding the broken pieces carefully in her hands she is tiptoeing along the corridor, 'thats not right thing to do ' his voice made her jump and she turned around to face him. As he noticed the broken pieces of vase in her hand his eyebrows raised and lips formed a disapproving thin line. ' I didnt see it, I was eager to see you and hit the stool on the way that made the vase fall on ground. It broke.' she concluded bowing her head down. A adoring smile appeared on his lips as moved towards her. he carefully wrapped his fingers around her hands ' It was a mistake chandini. It was not intentional.' she nodded her head agreeing.'Even then you need to accept it first and then you need to correct it' he said transferring the contents from her hand to his. They spent the next hour putting the vase together , joining all the broken pieces . ' look at it now' he said proudly but chandini is still not convinced ,' it still looks broken' she said gloomily. 'I know chandini, but u made a effort to correct your mistake. And effort makes all the change...'
she smiled remembering her wise Dev. His every memory is engraved so deep in to her heart making it easy to recall their interactions in detail. she could remember the little husk in his voice, the shine in his intelligent eyes, and always present smile on his lips. No one can replace him in her heart.
She never disappointed her Dev and she is not going do it now. So here she is few steps away from advay's door with a bowl of medicine in her hand. 'Effort ', she told herself. 'He may not want my help but still i need to try and help him. It was my mistake ' as she stepped forward , she recalls him throwing the bowl away few minutes before and she stops second guessing her decision to come to his room after all that. But her own conscience wont let her sleep with guilty . she took a deep breath and continued towards the door ,as she crossed the threshold she saw him sleeping on the bed. The room is dimly lit but he moonlight showering from the windows made it bright giving her the chance to examine his features.
His dark brown ruffled hair is softly blown by the breeze, his lips pulled slightly downwards in the corners , his rugged jaw set firm even in sleep made him look rest less. But with his eyes closed this is most peaceful she has ever seen him. His eyes , she thought. His eyes always accused her, they hold so much pain and agony and make her feel responsible for it. A soft sigh escaped from her and she sat down near his feet. she glanced at his face making sure he is still asleep she started applying the malam slowly ,as she closely saw his wounds her heart wrenched and tears ran down her cheek.
He knows she is here but he had no energy left in him to push her away. so he gave in, may be for once she can heal his wounds. A unknown emotion tightened his throat and he tried to hold it all in by swallowed hard but his lower lip started trembling and silent tears escaped his closed eyes.,yet he lay still .

sometimes her connection with advay confuses her, how she is always aware of his presence around , how she could almost guess his words before he utters them, how she could know his intentions ,just like now how she could tell that he is awake and is in pain. but she didnt dare to probe more on that, some questions are best left unanswered.so she continues applying malam and speaks softly ' I never intended to hurt you. but still i did, i may not remove your pain completely but still iam making an effort.
it may not change what i have done but broken things can always be mended.' her voice was rough giving her emotions away she pushed her tears and stood up facing away from him. she closed her eyes held to the paalu tightly ' stop all this advay ' her voice shook while taking his name.
'ab rukna , tumko panne ke baad hi' (i will stop, only after getting you .)
she turns around to look at his face. But his eyes are closed. His face hard as mask giving nothing away she waited to see any emotion in him but there was none. she gave up and retreated to her room.
That night he slept peacefully after many years.
This OS is almost a continuation of my previous one.
