Why doesn't Veer recollect childhood memories

Veer/Miku might be 6 year old boy when he was separated from his parents and brother. So when he returned to his own house (Currently Vasisht house), he should have a flash of childhood memories. When he can remember his childhood name and whistle, why cant he remember the house?
