Alright. Everyone is writing something. And I felt like I wanna be a critic today (I'm sorry, bad joke. :'D). This is about the recent track ever since Advay bought & moved into the Haveli. Pls ignore all typos. Too lazy to proofread.

Hits:

5. (Don't worry, I do know numbers. Let's start from behind) The BGM has begun to work. The instrumental Rabba Ve is so beautiful & the usage of the angsty Rabba Ve in yesterday's episode? Pitch perfect. And I'm not a fan of old Hindi music but somehow, they're making it work here.

4. Ritu Shivpuri- I confess, I've found her slightly monotonous in some scenes but besides those few scenes, she's been awesome. I mean, her screen presence is fantastic.

3. The Chemistry- I'm not a fan of big height difference between the leads & I was very sceptical about Sobti & Shivani's chemistry. It was also struggling a little during the initial episodes & I was wondering how they can possibly get it right. And then, something happened. And it fell in place. And they're so ridiculously beautiful that on most days, I can barely deal with the feels. Their scenes have been poetry in motion. The bed scene where there's but a deliberate brush of hands- breathtaking. The Roka scene? I can't recall the last time I saw something that's so... unblemished, untainted? Sounds like an exaggeration but that was one crazy Beautiful scene. It helps that the two actors in Q are probably the prettiest faces on TV right now. And they have been nailing the character portrayal so much so that we only see Advay/Dev & Chandni

2. Shivani Tomar- What a surprise package this woman has turned out to be! She's bringing her A game to the show & it's showing. Wonderfully natural, unbelievably pretty(even in those weird designs which actually look great on her), & her screen presence has grown so strong now. It shows in the way she is contributing to the Advay-Chandni scenes. The chemistry is seriously off the charts. And they've just gotten started.

1. No surprises. It's Barun Sobti- Look, in the 1st week of the show, I was like, I can't really understand what's going on in Advay's head. What the hell is going on? And then, Sobti got into the skin of the character. Sunk his teeth into the role? Became Advay Singh Raizada? All of that & more. Effortless charmer or scheming borderline psychopathic manipulator seeking revenge, Sobti is hitting it out of the ballpark. And those transitions between Advay & Dev? Seamless. He makes it look so easy & yet there's such subtle detailing to the way he is in a scene. And let's not even get started about him in Advay-Chandni scenes. I mean, you KNOW Advay is bad news. Chandni does too. But can anyone truly resist such single minded pursuit from a man like him(the beautiful face helps, no doubt but it's more than that)? The charm is aimed at disarming her. And he manages to disarm us too. So, really. Can you resist him? If so for how long?

Misses:

5. The CGI- Last week, I'd have said direction but direction has been great this week. CGI is funny. I don't mind it very much but it's hilarious AF.

4. Chandni's sisters- Nope. It's simply repetitive & not entertaining. Often, their scenes break the flow of the episodes.

3. Indrani's sisters- Lipshtick waali Maasi is at least, funny. The other one doesn't impress on most days. I don't know what's going wrong there. On a side note, they need to make use of Mausaji. He's a terrific actor.

2. Veer- I loved Veer's initial scenes. And then, I didn't. You can only watch the Aap Bane Hai Chirkut thing so many times before it grows tiring. Whatever few scenes he's had with Shikha & especially, Advay, they've been very promising. Now that he's entering the Haveli, I'm expecting it'll get better.

1. The Screenplay- Really, man. Just. Really. What even is happening with this. I can't follow it half the time. It's so abrupt. It drags the show down so many days. They're really lucky they have great leads & supporting cast. The bad editing & average direction of previous week's coupled with crazy screenplay was just...nuts. now that editing & direction issues have been resolved, I hope Screenplay becomes less...random?

The really tough Questions. I have 2. Pls answer(I will, too). I'm just curious.

1. What made you start watching this show?

- For me, it was simple. It had Sobti. I just had to watch.

2. What's keeping you hooked to the show?

- Again, Sobti's increasingly brilliant portrayal of Advay. But also, Sobti-Shivani as Advay-Chandni have begun to strike a chord. Such great chemistry. So much potential for a fantastic love story.
