The episode continues where it left off, Bahubali Advay holding onto Shiv from falling. He gets a helping hand, his brother who holds his foot. Honestly that was really good, Advay was almost smiling, so he's not a ball of hatred. I feel like that extra bit with Advay beating people was unnecessary but it was funny. One hit and they got sent flying. Totally not Bahubali.
And at the right time, Advay math prowess comes in handy. Being a math professor, he realizes that the men pulling from the other side are not helping. They are making it harder but not pulling him up from the centre of gravity in the middle where Advay pulls.
We also met another Vashisht, and he's not that likeable. He's also negative, very good. I believe he is Chandni's uncle. This makes 3 out of 8 members positive. A majority this family is horrible. You can also see that Indrani, Chandni's mom, is clearly the ring leader. Her word is last, and ultimate. If Chandni doesn't enter, the Maha Aarti won't happen then it'll be a mess.
I really like Kinners vs. Vashisht scene. You can see the contrast between the family and Chandni. They are so rude to the guests, but Chandni is benevolently kind. She folds her hands and asks for their forgiveness. Chandni praises the Kinners and gives them due respect, if Man is Shiv and Woman is Shakti, then they are both. I really like this but because it gives so much respect to a group of people that aren't that respected and this is really powerful. This is a good social message, to respect people, however they look, whatever they are or wear.
The Kinner leaves with a premonition. The storm (Advay) has arrived, and he is going to wipe everything down in his rage, and only she (Chandni) can stop him. This totally foreshadows Advay and Chandni's relationship in the future. That only she can calm him down.
Indrani is correct, this Maha Aarti could have been ruined twice now, it was thanks to Advay and Chandni's efforts that they got this far. Really interesting, because this couple is already doing things together without realizing. I also like the imagery here, as Advay appears in front of the sisters, Shiv blurs out. This really does work the parallel that Advay is Shiv. From the fire that represents his destroyer to the imagery of him in this episode. Another parallel to this theory was Chandni praying to Shiv, but Advay walks in front of her, and when she opens her eyes, he disappears.
I understand that Indrani was praising Advay for saving their family and he didn't like that because he doesn't want to save them, but that was a really good opportunity to gain their trust. This isn't bad though, we can see how much it bothers him to be the saviour of the Vashisht family, the same family that gave him so much pain.
Advay makes it a point that he doesn't exactly sympathize with Chandni or her past, and this is because of what she did to him and how she betrayed him. I really want to see more on this. What exactly happened that day, we only get snippets of the act but no really reason for why it happened.
So if you had any doubts that Advay is Dev, you may now have no fear. When Chandni asks Dev where is he, Advay is seen entering the premise. The music changes. Her love has returned home. The visuals and music are directing us to the idea that Dev and Advay are the same person.
This was really good, I can't wait for more.
