Wow.. Nice thread, Sona.

Let me write my kahani with Barun.

I first watched him in his Ford Figo ads. Mehendi one. That smile in the end. ❤️ Hayee.. But I didn't know his name, what he is at that time. I remember having a major crush on him but I kinda lost him.

Cut to May/June 2011. I remember watching the promos of IPK. And I found the hero so hot. But I wasn't interested in the show so never watched it. Then around Nov/Dec 2011, I was watching random videos on YouTube and in the suggestions I saw a VM with Barun's pic as thumbnail. I was like this is that hot guy of SP, let me watch it. Little did I know about my decision.😆 I am so proud of that moment.😆

It was a solo Barun Sobti VM on Dairy milk silk song "Kiss me, close your eyes and miss me". I was so impressed with the scenes used in the VM and from there I went to the suggestions of Arnav Khushi scenes and watched couple of scenes and got addicted to the show and joined this forum. And only here I got to know his name and I remember reading my first set of Barun's interviews. (IF's Slam book interview and another rapid fire one). I was so impressed and fell in love with him...more so for his simplicity and his love story. ❤️

Then I googled his other work and watched BHPH simultaneously everyday along with IPK. That's why I love both Arnav and Shravan equally. And then later I got to know ki he is that ford Figo ad guy.😆 The enlightenment. So I didn't lose him after all. 😆

Since then there's no turning back. ❤️ I love him more now. I have watched all his work, read and watched all his interviews and almost seen all his pictures on the net. And I have you as my Barun encyclopedia.😆 So now he is my pakki wali favorite.❤️

Phew! I am done and hope I made sense.😆 My longest post ever..

The first time I saw him on TV is the Dhak Dhak ad yaar.

But I dint know that he is Barun Sobti or anything. It is after I got to know him did I retrace back and found out that this guy who managed to put a smile on my face and go aww and wow, he's good

is the same guy for whom I now am insanely crazy!

Being the soaps?What crap girl, I never watched/watch any indian soaps.

But there was his university friend of mine who loved IPK. So, she came over to my home one day and she saw my brother. He is 6 years younger to me but treats me as if I am 6 years younger to him.

And she went, yaar ye to Arnav nikla.

AndI was like, 'dude, shut up. No one compares my brother with anyone'

But I just couldn't get that statement outta my head.

And then alter on, when ArShi's first kiss happened, this same friend was blushing like hell in our class. And I was like 'are you serious?'

So, she showed me a clip of that that evening which was uploaded in youTube and I was like 'wow. Indian soaps have upgraded, huh?' and I remember I did like this guy. Quite a lot. But I wasnt gonna admit that.

It wasnt after until IPK went off air, did I stumble upon a VM upon ArShi in YT.

It was made by Zoya. I keep searching for her works but cant find them now.

So anyway...Barun just...drew me man. He was like this live magnet.

And I went crazy and finished watching the entire IPK in 3-ish months.

The number of times I re-watched and saw the sbs stuff, dug out Baath and the related sbs stuuf, the dil mil gaye epis, the shradda scenes and dug out and followed stuff about Barun is something I cant really count.

And here I am,

A Sobtian for life.

I used to watch BHPH on -off loved him as shravan watched till the end.😆

I don't follow ipk1 since the beginning,
but (during payash wedding track )randomly switched to channel ,the episode of where arnav search for khushi,t hat episode,( has made me his fan for lifetime )those emotions and expressions felt so real that I couldn't stop myself from watching the show from there, therewas no looking back...

First time I saw BS... now thats a question for myself. I never watched hindi serials regularly (I'm not a tv person). but my sisters were. They watched both DMG and BHPK on and off.

I might have seen him for few minutes in DMG bcz i remember that part of the story.

I've watched him in BHPK for sure, but i didn't know his name nor did I notice him much. Hell back then i didn't even know what the strory was about(later i watched Baat on internet), it ran on my tv, my sisters watched nd I sat with them. Never concentrated.

And the embarrassing part is when IPK1 promos aired i didn't recognised him at all, even after watching IPK for months I never knew he's the same guy. It's only after I fall for ArHi and IPK, i look for the details, nd eureka, HE IS THE SAME GUY.

And so many years have passed since then, nd I just kept falling more in love with him, how time flies, everything still seems like yesterday.

Well tbh everyone was lost in ej .thats why i feel skeptical of whole caste team coming back cause no matter what lot of offscreen things n all now will effect onscreen too no matter how hard they try and they accepted that too somewhere.but thts just my opinion.😃

Yup. He has learnt to project his voice better, even in IPK1 he got better at it. But one thing is ever persisting. He mumbles his dialogues some times. Drives me up the wall.🤣 I guess its cos he is so soft spoken. 😆

As for rehash of old cast, EJ was a 1/2 day shoot so i knew right from the beginning its hard to recall ASR after a huge gap cos Barun himself said it took him 3 months to get him right.

Was on ipkknd only..I was not even in the habit of watching tat serial..just changing channel n got to the fragment when he asks kushi to apologise to return back her ring. She does n he tries to put it on her finger. She refuses saying it's her engagement ring n he gets shocked ..but he asks "is that so " not in words but with a raise of one eyebrow n his eyes..n a slight slant of his head..

Guys it was a riveting moment for me . till tat moment I didn't know wat story it is or who the actors were.. But tat bit n I know I've hit upon someone with amazing expression.. To me he's the best in facial expressions ..the rest is history .

Well I saw him in Shraddha serial as a villain I guess.it was a very chota mota role. I frankly had nooo opinion on him.

Then I saw him in BHPH.there he was just cute for me nthg more.I used to watch that show daily.I actually liked that pair.bt now I can't say that atall.pls don't judge me.😛

He even danced in the police station with shorts.that was funny that time.Bt now I can't even imagine him doing that no way in hell.😆😆

Mera paagalpan shuru hua when I searched for love scenes in television in YouTube.almost kiss showed up with million viewers. I just opened it to check wats the big deal about it.I can't even express how I felt that time.My opinion about him changed totally 360

From that time I am his True fanki.N can't even change that for my entire life.He is n will b my fav.Never felt for any other tele actor. Ya have loved few other tele actors too bt can't replace Barun with anyone.😳😳😳

I first saw Barun in that hero honda advertisement... and I watched that only for him. he was just sooo great (he still is :P).. I did not watch BHPH though my mother did and she used to tell me that this sony show the ML is really good looking and cute. but I was busy with exams and all. lol I saw only one scene from BHPH... one of the episode of Shravan-Sachi marriage. and let me say I accepted that he was looking the MOST handsome groom I had ever seen! 😳

but I became a fan (like this type of the I am now) with IPK. and pls dont laugh anyone... I had actually said that "this Shrvan guy wont be able to do ASR" to my friend and I think "Gunjan girl will be better" 😳🤣🤣

and of course everything changed with just ONE promo.. lol.

and here I am.. waiting for Barun Sobti from the past 5 years...
