Okay so, what do we have so far?
The story will be a revenge-romantic-thriller drama series produced by the (in)famous Gul Khan.
The love story of an anti-hero, named Advay Singh Raizada, (Barun Sobti) A math professor. The return of an angst ridden guy, from UK, after er...quite a few years (coz Barun said Advay lived all his life in UK); seeking revenge for what happened to his family.
From what little the promos reveal, Advay knows Chandni (be that right since their childhood or his homework behind the accomplishment of his revenge). Advay is a guy who doesn't back down from showing his pain. Basically, someone who has built his means and reason of existence around the dark tragedy and wont shy or shun away from it, but rather burns with and in it. A guy going through PTSD. And in short, an out and out dark character. (or in Barun's words, a completely non-sanskari, manipulative, angst ridden man with a rather strong revenge) Lastly, Advay has a brother, named Veer (Randeep Malik). Plus an assistant (Juhi Aslam).
A pretty sanskari female protagonist, named Chandni Narayan Vashishth (Shivani Tomar) (#RegalNames) who we are assuming has something to do with Advay's tragedy, or atleast her family does. (so, the how/what/why has already been set, aka, the base plot) From the way Shivani keeps repeating that Chandni is calm, sweet and the follower of Bhagvad Gita. Chandni is an anxiety disorder suffering female protagonist.
A girl who loves her family. She has a mom, dad and 2 sisters (sisters names are Shikha and Meghna, twins). Chandni is a high-class, educated woman. Its either Chandni or her family that causes Advay's life problems and parent's death. And the latest one, Chandni is an acid attack survivor. Now, I am not sure if it is Chandni, though the anxiety disorder would be the aftermath of this and makes me join the dots pointing more towards her.
According to new sources, the antagonist/villain will be a woman named Indrani (Ritu Shivpuri), who is Chandni's mom.
And that makes this story... The story of fighting and winning life. A story of second chances like Gul said. Also, we have a hint that there are quite a few social messages interweaved.
Let me know if I missed something or got something wrong.
