Can someone tell me how TRAI system has affected the channels and what's the difference when BARC used to announce the trp and now when they doesn't (we still get the trp so no difference for us ) . I'm not from India and in my country we don't have this Trp system .

Well for one trai permits a person to only pay for the channels you watch. That is you can choose the bundle of channels or only one channel if you want.

The top20 barc list has 0.3 added to to all its top shows, while the trps salil is posting are only raw trps. So if you try to rank them, you can easily see shows like yrk having 2.7-2.8( if barc list was out) and ISA will also have 1.9 barc trps too.😆

Barc is still sending the weekly break down of shows to all their subscribers. Our advantage is that salil and others are good enough to share those values with us.

Otherwise we wouldn't even be getting trps right now.

See bcoz of the changes in the pricing system, some of the households are not getting all the paid channels...as per new TRAI rules each channel has to be paid for separately...earlier the cable wales used to provide the channels like 250/300/350 per month unlike the DTH providers like Tata Sky, Airtel or Sun Direct...

if the households who have the TRP meters installed but not getting the paid channels like Star then the trp would be affected...
