Anika deffo bears the brunt of being a pawn in this game...lol she's been rendered utterly stupid to propel the story forward...her Shivaay obsession I can still understand cuz her subconscious feelings are out of her control...but her random overconfidence about Daksh in this redux has just been weird to say the least😕😆...she takes him so lightly...the guy who tried to almost rape her at one point, she's able to brush off so easily😕

Anyways, I can brush off some of this if they give me some good TAKKAR ka conflict b/w Shivika...I liked the precap cuz of that reason...was pleasantly surprised to see Anika giving it back to Shivaay and not just sitting there like an abla naari...something else has to happen for her to be left numb by the end.

NM-SC are both performing their parts superbly...today was mainly NM's day👏👏...tomorrow I expect good stuff from them both based on the precap.

We seem to be on the same page with most things today AY so I am just going to copy paste my multiple posts in the chat on today's epi posted before I read this thread 😆

I quite liked the episode today. Lot of drama. But didn't feel like a drag which I was expecting it to be. And some good acting by NM. plenty more drama coming up of course. Tomorrow I guess will be Daksh in hospital manipulating Shivaay some more and then AN shaadi drama and the precap towards the end of the epi I think. Shivika shaadi drama Monday se I guess.


The precap was interesting.
Interestingly shivaay didn't go all in a rage with the idea of marrying her or even kidnapping her. He went to break her marraige and extract his pound of flesh in his grief over his sister. He was walking away when Anika showed her anger and stopped him and questioned him and he snapped. Kind of like the equivalent of the slap in the original one. So shaadi was an impulsive act.
Also Anika was not a passive spectator. She showed anger and questioned him.

I also really felt for Billu when he said aapka Billu har gaya Dadi. He sounded so broken and defeated and lost then.
There was some excellent acting by NM today. I even like the look in his eyes when he sees Priyanka hit. Have to watch again on TV since phone doesn't do justice on top of which I broke mine yesterday. So cracked screen is no fun. But the kanji eyes are on a roll again.


True about the writing being weak. But Gulneet have no new ideas. So the forced shaadi and dark hero is a given because this is their standard trope in any universe. Even in IB 1 I always felt that the way NM-SC played their characters is what gave it life and then of course the characters took of from that. Remains to be seen what happens here.
Yesterday's episode was too fillerish. And Shivaay was too mopey. But today i felt was well paced and good build up to the upcoming drama. Also today Shivaay's emotions over Prinku didn't annoy me as they usually tend to. In the cirmcumstances they made sense and i felt it was fairly controlled and not OTT. And NM acted really well. Anika of course is doing stupid things in her over zealousness but that is to be expected otherwise there would never be the cascade of events that are to come. So it's more like I am not surprised by her actions because I was kind of expecting it all to build up the MU to bigger proportions. Of course Anika's desperate gidgidaoing to Nikhil annoyed me especially since he used that word although he was right in everything else that he said because it further emphasised how shaadi and the respectability that comes with it is such a big deal for her. This is such a contrast from RU Anika who publicly claimed she spent the night with Shivaay without caring for her reputation in society just to give him an alibi for the Gayatri murder night.

Shivay lifting Annika caveman style is strangely reminding me of Veer and the say he lifted Annik same way in Goa episodes...😆

From the caps you posted, NM seems to have performed extremely well depicting Shivay's vulnerability. Such a nuanced performance it appears to be.

What I felt after watching today's episode is that how come she thought that just by making Daksh to run away from the marriage will solve the problem. She also should had thought about Priyanka's state of mind. This is only my pov.

AY as a follow up of what we were talking about the other day about how it's not only Shivaay who is drawn towards Anika but how Anika also can't help herself being drawn towards although less obviously so which is helping fuel the MU. I was mentioning then how he is more aware of the pull but how she is reacting to him so instinctively as if it's second nature without even realising what she is doing. Today's episode was an interesting illustration. In the Redux Anika came into contact with the Oberoi family mainly through Priyanka. She was the one who hired her and the one who gave her shelter. Yet Anika's reference point for everything to do with the Oberoi is Shivaay and not Priyanka. He is not Priyanka ka bhai but she is Shivaay ki behen. It's Shivaay's home, Shivaay's family and even Shivaay ki behen ki dost Payal and not Priyanka ki dost Payal. 😆 AU Anika doesn't even realise that her world is already revolving around Shivaay even though she has hardly spared a conscious thought to the something ajeeb sa kuch to hai hamare beech 😆
