RiKara SS: Her Accidental Mr. Right (Chapter 1- Pg 1)

"Didi, this is not fair at all! I was INFORMED about my own damn ENGAGEMENT!" Gauri screamed as she threw her phone on the bed as Annika tried her best to pacify her. Gauri Trivedi was enraged, too enraged to think. Were they living in 21st century or what! The moment Gauri returned from Delhi, the first thing their mom told her was that she was getting engaged. Her mom informed her with a whole lot of merry that she was utterly flabbergasted. She wasn't even asked, just informed.

"Didn't Ma ask your CONSENT when you got engaged Didi? Well, why am I even comparing to you! You and Shivaay Jiju were madly in love when you got engaged! I came here to help mom with your wedding preparations, but look what happened!" Gauri sat on her bed and grabbed the nearest pillow.

"Chutki, Omkara is a really nice guy! He is..."

"Honge nice guy! It's not about Omkara, it's about Ma! Didi, if she had asked me, do you think I would have denied without considering? Don't I have the right to say yes? If she had asked instead of informed, I would have happily abided. After all, after Papa passed, Ma did so much for us!" Gauri hugged her sister tightly.

"Shivaay, she didn't agree for this wedding. It was crystal, all on her face. I saw her shooting daggers at her mother, man if looks could kill!" Omkara said, and for the first time, Shivaay did not have an answer.

"Even I feel the same O. I remember how she was during Bhaiya's engagement, all lively. You ruined it!" Rudra said and Shivaay glared at him. Omkara did not want an unwilling bride. He had always known that he had to get married next when Shivaay's marriage was fixed. When Dadi had asked if he'd marry his Bhabhi's sister, he said okay. Why, even he didn't know. But in the morning when Gauri extended her hand during the ring ceremony, he noticed she didn't look anywhere else, just glared at her mother who was obliviously talking to his mom.

"Shut up Rudy! Om, I've asked Annika to talk to Gauri, she'll call me right away. You don't worry, we'll figure this out" Shivaay said, and true to his words, his phone ringed. Om snatched the phone from Shivaay,

"Bhabhi?" "Achha Om, Gauri is really angry with Ma now, she went to talk to her. Tell Shivaay I'll talk to him later okay!" Annika hurriedly cut the phone, as she saw Gauri walk back in. Gauri pressed her lips and was lost in thoughts.

"Didi, am I a bad daughter?" Gauri asked, scrunching her eyebrows as hundreds of questions passed her mind in a flash. She jerked out of her thoughts when Annika crushed her in a hug.

"Chutki, you took care of both Ma and me when Papa passed away... You are the best daughter and best sister any one can ever ask for! Why would you say that? Did Ma say something?"

"When I sat with Ma, she told me she was very happy that I'm getting married to Omkara and I will always be with you... Then Mama Ji came and took her away because of an important work. Didi, I don't think Ma realizes that she made a mistake..." Gauri was utterly perplexed. Annika's phone rang and she put it on speaker, Gauri was meaning to talk to Shivaay.

"Bhabhi, it's me Om again. Actually, I just wanted you to let Gauri know that if she doesn't want, there would be no wedding. I'm sure Aunty forced Gauri because you and Shivaay are getting married and she did not want to hamper that. I assure you nothing like that would happen. I will personally talk to the elders, okay? Please tell her that."

Gauri smiled a little after hearing Om, she gestured Annika to talk and went to the balcony. Annika soon joined her there.

"Chutki, I told you Om was a nice guy!"

"Problem is not him Didi, the problem is Ma!" Gauri exclaimed.

My finals start next week, I'll update when time permits.
