Dear Arjun,
I don't know how to start this letter, because I'm afraid it might be the end of our good acquaintance, or if I'm lucky, the realization of my dreams, which is for you to love me as I love you. I told myself I might as well take the risks because it's the only remedy I know that could unburden this feeling I've been keeping ever since.
Arjun, I love you. I know you'll find it hard to believe me if I tell you now how much you mean to me. I could hardly understand what I feel for you, knowing how to endure those long sleepless nights just thinking only of you.
I've never been like this before. I just don't know how to pour out my feelings for you. I wanted to find the perfect words to make you realize how much I need you and love you, but words continue to elude me, what would they be? Something poetic? I'm sure it should be heartfelt and out of the ordinary. I'm afraid it's no use; every time I look at you, the words came out the same... I love you!

Gauri looked at what she wrote with a smile. Today was the day she was confessing her love for Arjun, his workmate.
Arjun and Gauri met in their workplace and since then they had been best of friends. Gauri, an orphan had finally found someone on whom she could depend completely. Slowly she started having feelings for him. Scared to loose the friendship she never confessed her love. After a lot of encouragement from Richa she finally mustered the courage to write a letter to Arjun. Somewhere in her heart she was sure that Arjun too had feelings for her and that added to her courage. Right now she was waiting for Richa to come with the address so that she could post the letter.
Lost in her thoughts she came out of her trance when she felt a light tap on her shoulder. Turning back she saw Richa standing with a sly smirk.
"Mill gaya address?"
(Did you get the address?)
"Yes. There's nothing that Richa can't do" declared Richa haughtily.
"If you are done boasting then pass on tge address I need to post it this year itself."
"Oho! Someone's acting too desperate."
"Shut up! Richa. I'm not desperate!" Said Gauri blushing.
"Haan haan! Dikh raha hai!"
(Yeah right! It's very evident!)
"Uff! Will you give it or not?"
"Okay! Okay! Here is it. Take it"
Gauri took the chit of paper and read the address. She took a colourgul envelope put her letter inside and wrote the address on the envelope with a hopeful smile on her face.

"O...it's been a week that you received that letter and all you do is read it again and again! What are you planning?"
"Nothing Rudy. I just sympathise with this Gauri. Baare armaano ke saath usne shayad yeh letter likha hoga Arjun ke liye. Lekin kismat ka khel dekh Rudy manzil se pohonch ne se pehle yeh haar gaya!"
(Nothing Rudy. I just sympathise with this Gauri. Just think about the hopes that she had while writing this letter to Arjun. But see how fate plays games with people. This letter lost even before starting its journey!)
"Uffo! O... again you started with your boring moral lectures. You know what instead of brooding over this write it back to the girl saying that this letter reached the wrong person. Phir na toh yeh raasta bhatke ga aur nahi mujhe aapki boring shayari sunni paregi!" said Rudy with his usual logic sign.
(Oh god! O...instead of giving me moral lectures why don't you just reply to the letter saying that it reached the wrong person. Then neither the letter might reach it's destiny nor i would have to listen to your boring poetry.)
Omkara slapped Rudra playfully and said "Probably this is the first time you've given a good idea. I should write to her and clear her confusion. Haan yahi sahi rahega!"

Omkara sat down to write a letter but words started failing him. Whenever he started writing he felt as if he is breaking her heart. For reasons unknown he felt something was not right and therefore for the first time he decided to do someting unimaginable. He started writing.
Hey Gauri,
I'm sorry for not replying to this letter for three days! Actually I was in a fix whether to tell you the truth or not!? Nevertheless the the faster it comes the better it is.
The letter that you've written has actually reached the wrong person. I'm Omkara and not Arjun.
Next time when you write a letter please be careful about the address.
But I must say that your Arjun is very lucky to have found you! I wish the best for you both.

Omkara sealed the letter and the very next day he posted it,thinking the faster it reaches her the better. Atleast someone would get her love! Omkara smiled sadly remembering his past.

Gauri after posting the letter was damn excited to read the response. She was almost sure that the answer would be positive but as days started to pass by she felt uncomfortable. What if the answer is no? No. No then i would have understood, then why is he not replying to the letter!? Patience Gauri! Patience! He will definitely write it to you!
It was the end of the week and with still no reply
Gauri thought that maybe she was too sute of the love and she did not feel that it could one sided.
Gauri was huffing and puffing across the room. She had decided that today if she did not receive a reply she'll directly call and ask Arjun about it. Suddenly the door opened and Richa stood there with an envelope in her hand slyly smirking.
"Richa is that a letter?!" Gauri asked excitedly.
"Yes!"
"Give it to me! What are you waiting for?"
Seeing Gauri's excitement Richa drcided against teasing her friend and handed over the letter. Gauri tore the envelope and started reading the content.
As she finished reading she almost had tears. All these days she was hoping for a answer from Arjun and here it had reached the wrong person. She was angry no furious on Richa for giving her the wrong address.
"Richa? Tune mujhe sahi address to diya tha na?"
(Richa? Did you give me the correct address)
"Yes." She replied confused" Richa kabhi galat ho hi nahi sakti!"
Hearing her brag about herself Gauri lost it. She started shouting and running behind her.
"Kabhi galat ho hi nahi sakti ke baacchi! Galat address de ke apna hi badai kj rahi hai...I'll not leave you!! Tu ruk"
(You cannot be wrong huh? Even after giving me the wrong address you are bragging about yourself. Just wait and watch what I do now)
"Arre arre sorry galti insaan se hi hoti hai na!?"
(I'm sorry! Mistakes do happen by humans only)
"Oh really?! Here I was dying of waiting for one letter and you went bragging about yourself...now you are saying mistakes happen"
"Stop...stop...I told you that writing a lettrr is too old school...now do one thing call him and tell him"
"Aur koi chara bhi toh nahi hai"
(There's no other option)
As if on cue Gauri's phone rang and Gauri smiled brightly. It was Arjun. Gauri first blushed then thought to confess her feelings and finally picked up the call.
"Hello"
"Gauriii...main aaj bohot khush hoon!"
(Gauriii...I'm very happy today!)
"Main bhi."
(Me too.)
"Arjun,mujhe tumhe kuch babtana hai!"
(Arjun, I have to tell you something)
"Arre mujhe bhi tujhe kuch batana hai!"
(Wow! Even I've to tell you something)
"Theek hai toh pehle tum bolo"
(Okay! Then you say first)
"No..no you say first."
"No Gauri you first"
"Arjun you called first so you go ahead"
"Okay. Gauri?? I'm in love"
Gauri thought that it was her rejoiced. She now wanted him to confess first asked
"And? Do I know her?"
"Yes, sort of!"
"Then tell me who is it?"
"Naina"
Gauri felt the world slip beneath her feet. A moment back she was rejoicing the fact Arjun was in love with her but all that seemed so blur now. She was too numb to react.
"Gauri? Are you there?"
Breaking from her trance Gauri tried to smile and be happy for Arjun. She spoke.
"Yeah. I'm always there. But you never told that you had feelings for Naina"
"Mujhe khud nahi pata tha! Mujhe laga tha ki yeh sirf ek attraction hai. Par jab mein Delhi transfer ho gaya then I started missing her. I talked to Naina and she too felt the same for me and we clicked."
(I didn't know myself. I thought what I felt towards Naina was a mere attraction but then when I was transferred to Delhi I started missing her. That's when I decided to talk to her and she said that she felt the same.)
"I'm happy for you Arjun"
"Okay now enough of me! You also wanted to tell something right?! Go ahead!"
"I've nothing to say! You gave me the biggest shock!"
"Huh?"
"I me..mean that its your big day enjoy main phir kabhi tujhe fursat se bataaungi.."
(I meant that its your big day , you shpuld enjoy I'll tell you about myself sime other day)
"Gauri you know that I'm always free for you!"
"I know Arjun. I'll hang up now. I have some pending work"
"Okay then bye Gauri."
"Bye"
Gauri slumped on the floor crying. Richa who had been standing there for the entore time understood what might have happened hugged her instantly and started consoling her.
"Sab khatam ho gaya Richa!... Orphanage waale hamesha sahi kehte the ki anath ko koi apna nahi milta! Maine bhi kya socha tha ki mujhe apnapan aur pyaar milega...arre jisko uske khudke ma-baap ne chod diya usko kya apnapan?!"
(It's all over Richa..the people in the orphanage were right! Orphans do not get love!! What did I think that I would be accepted! Huh... a person whose parent abandoned her,she'll get acceptance!?)
Richa became angry listening to this. How could Gauri say such a thing?! She understood her pain but that was not her fault! Arjun falling in love with someone else was also not her fault! Then why was she blaming herself! If it was some other situation she would have bashed Gauri for such nonsense but today looking at her she understood that Gauri might do something extreme and therefore decided otherwise.
"Gauri...look at me!" Gairi still not looking at her kept on crying. Richa cupped her face and made her look towards her. "Gauri I know how you feel at this moment but how could you blame yourself for this? Where is your fault in this? Was it your fault that you fell in love with Arjun? No right? Or was it your fault that Arjun fell in love with some other girl? No right? Then why are you blaming yourself!"
"I thought he loved me and therefore he cared for me and that's why I fell i love! Of course it my mistake!"
"No..Gauri you are absolutely wrong! You can't control falling in love with someone and neither you can stop someone from falling in love with someone else! And look Gauri you still have his friendship which is the highest form of love in any relationship, so stop crying!"
Gauri couldn't help but smile at Richa. She had always adored her. No matter what the situation was Richa was always positive. She was her strength. True, they faught a lot but they couldn't do without each other.
"How are you like this Richa?"
"What am I like?"
"So positive? So optimistic? Don't you have any regrets?"
"Gauri. Life is too short to hold grudges and regrets! So I choose to look at the positive side"
Seeing Gauri smile at her she thought to lighten her mood. "Waise Gauri! Tu toh bach gaayi!? Soch agar woh letter sach mein Arjun ke pass chala jatah toh?" (By the way Gauri...You got saved huh? Think if Arjun had really received this letter!?)
Then picking up the letter she read through it. "Waise yeh Omkara naam kitna sexy hai na!?"(And this name Omkara sounds so sexy na?)
"Hatt besharam"
(Shut up!)
"Arre Gauri dekh to! Kya ram milai jodi hai! Woh Omkara tu Gauri tum dono ke naam mein hi toh saath hona likha hai"
(See Gauri it is match made in heaven! His name is Omkara and your name is Gauri. You both are meant to be together)
Gauri whacked Richa on her arm. But whatever Richa said wasn't false! Their names were truly meant to be taken together! Then brushing away her thoughts she spoke
"Richa?"
"Yes?"
"Please stay overnight!"
"You thought I was leaving tonight! No no.. I am on my new mission!"
"What mission?"
"Mission Omkara and Gauri"
Gauri couldn't help but smule. Richa was completely mad! Sge chose not to speak as she knew Richa wont budge. She ignored and told Richa that she was going to freshen up! As she got up and walked towards the washroom Richa spoke.
"Gauri?"
"Yes?"
"I think you should reply to this letter"
"Richa if this is a part of mission then-
"No Gauri it is not. Just think whoever this Omkara is could have chosen to ignore the letter and not reply but he did the otherwise, so as a matter of courtesy you should reply back"
"But what will I write?"
"Whatever you feel like! He doesn't know you so he won't judge you! Maybe just write a thank you..."
"Okay I'll think about it"

After two days
Omkara back in Delhi was getting restless. He was continuosly thinking about Gauri and her letter. Over the week he had kept reading the letter he had somewhat groen attached to it. He wanted to know what exactly happened to Gauri. He was drawn towards this stranger Gauri.
It pricked him somewhere when Gauri didn't reply to his letter. He was somewhere sure that she will reply back to him. But his mind always stated the otherwise. Wby would she reply back to him? She was not bound by any law? Then why did he feel so bad.
His trance was broken by Rudra's shouting.
"O??O?? Where are you?"
"What is it Rudy?"
"Open the door O! I have something for you?"
Thinking it to be one of Rudy's prank he opened the door irritated. Seeing Rudra's sly grin he frowned.
"What is it Rudy?"
"Aap ke liye khat aaya hai!" replied Rudy wiggling his eyebrows
(There's a letter for you!)
"Khat? Kiska?" Omkara's heart was slamming against his chest. Could it be Gauri?
(Letter? By whom?)
"Wahi jo aapka raaton ki neend aur din ka chain cheen liya hai" replied Rudra dramatically
(The one wgo is giving sleepless nights and restless days!)
"Stop your drama and tell who it is?"
"Gauri"
Hearing the name Gauri Omkara gave his best smile. He quickly snatched the letter and closed the door on Rudy's face leaving him shocked.
"This is not rigt Om. I want something in return"
"You'll get whatever you want but right now leave" Omakara answered from behind tge closed door.

Questions were many but only destiny held its answers.
