Part 3B
Some days had passed since the last incident. Everything had gone back to normalcy. The relationship between Gauri and Omkara had also gone back to their old days;carefree and teasing atleast that is what Gauri thought. Omkara on the other hand wasn't happy at all. He felt that Gauri was distant from him. He didn't like including Riddhima in between their moment which apparently started happening alot surprising him.
Though his attraction for Riddhima somewhat remained.
In college:
Both Gauri and Omkara enter the college as usual only to see a huge crowd in front the notice board. Both of them walked towards it.
"Why are students assembled here? Result ko toh abhi time hai." Gauri asked Ishana who was present there.
"Khush hojaa Gauri tera sapna poora hone wala hai."
"Kyaa?"
"Famous director Ajay Hasia is coming to our college to direct a small play for the 50th Anniversary of the college."she almost shouted while Gauri was shocked.
"Kyaa?"
"Haan. Aur yahi nahi sunaa hai ki woh jo jo bhi play mein kaam karega unko professionally bhi kaam denge. Matlab they would get the chance to work with him professionally."
"What? Yeh toh tune bohot acchi baat boli Ishana! I will really try and get to work under him" Gauri said cheerfully. She was really happy. Ajay Hasia was her favourite and to work under him was her dream.
"Haan haan...tu toh koshish karegi hi"said Ishana winking mischievously at Gauri.
Gauri blushed. And this did not go unnoticed by Omkara. He had never seen her blushing like a red tomato. Curiously he asked
"Ishana yeh blush kyun kar rahi hai"
"Om tujhe nahi pata kya?! Humari Gauri ko Ajay Hasia pe bohot bara crush hai" Ishana chirped.
This didn't go well with Omkara. His Ri had a crush on somebody and was unaware
"Ri kya yeh baat sach hai?" Om asked
Gauri who till now silent and was lost in hrr own dream world came out of her reverie.
"Haan. Lekin sirf crush hai Om."
"Tujhe ek buddhay pe kaise crush ho gaya Ri? I mean i know ki pyaar andha hota and age is just a number par yeh thoda zyaada nahi ho gaya?" Om asked trying to supress his laugh
"Ek jhaap mein dewaar pe satt jeibe..agar Ajay ko buddha bola toh! Mera Ajay buddha nahi hai woh toh sirf 24 saal ka hai. Tu kiski baat kar raha hai" Gauri asked.
Om did not answer his mind was stuck on the fact of how his Ri called Ajay as hers. A certain pang of anger rushed through his veins.
"Mujhe lagta hai woh Ajay Malhotra ki baat kar raha hai. Om yeh woh nahi hai" Ishana answered.
"Kya baat ho rahi hai yaha" Riddhima asked as she entered the scene and held Omkara's hand. Omkaea came out his thoughts and suddenly left her hand and walked off saying.
"Kuch nahi" leaving the 3 girls confused. For the rest of the day Omkara was nowhere to be seen. He had texted Ri that he needs sometime off and not to disturb him. Gauri and Ishana both knew this habit of him and chose not to bother him for the rest of the day.
Later that night. Gauri was sleeping when suddenly her phone rang. She woke up and saw the time 3:30am and then saw Omkara calling her.
"Kya hua?"
"Kaise kar sakti hai tu aisa Ri? Tu aise kaise kar sakti hai?" Om answered his voice almost broken.
"Maine kya kiya" Gauri asked perplexed.
"Tujhe sab pata hai. Zyaada bann mat!"
"Come straight to the point Om. What is wrong?"
"Tujhe uss Ajay Hasia se pyaar hai. Hai na?"
"Haaye! Kash usse bhi hotaa!" Gauri said dreamily unaware of the repercussion
"Nahi tu usse pyaar nahi kar sakti. Samjhi tu? Tu meri best friend hai sirf meri."Omkara almost shouted.
Gauri was beyond surprised to see such a reaction."Mujhe pata hai Om. Lekin isske saath Ajay ka kya connection hai?"
"Tu nahi samjhegi chor! Main baad mein call karta hoon. Bye" saying this he disconnected the call and switched off his phone.
On the other hand Gauri had no words. It was beyond her contemplation of what just happened.
"Yeh Om ko kya hogaya hai? Itni raat ko usne mujhe sirf yeh kehne ke liye phone kiya? Pagal chirota hai". Gauri thought and made a mental note to talk to him the next day.
