this girl will be death of me." he sighed stretching himself on the chair after working on a large pile of files.
he took out his phone engrossing himself in thoughts for some seconds, staring at the screen he finally decided to call the number, screen displaying "baby" followed with one heart and one kiss emoji.
he called her and like another time it went unanswered, being frustrated enough he was about to throw that poor invention of mankind or more like his very own punching bag, but then his eyes land on the smiling picture of a beautiful lady kept on his desk , which of course was of his beautiful wife, the girl who turned his whole world upside down as soon as she entered in his life.
and then the magic happened, all frustration went away, the frown got replaced with a light smile and his very own phone defeated death this time and land perfectly fine on the table.
"anikaaa..." he caressed her photo and smiled brightly thinking about her, how she changed this total stone singh oberoi into her sweet singh oberoi, the person who never believed even in idea of love is now head over heels in love with his wife.
thinking about her made him wanna go home as soon as possible and feel his annika in his arms, kissing her deeply , madly and making her blush again and again.
but then, the reminder stuck hard in his mind and his mood went off suddenly,
courtesy to the fact that annika was out of india for her work purpose and too for straight 3 weeks,
it had been 2 weeks now and he was feeling all lonely without her like they are away from each other for months or year.
and now the cherry on the cake was she started ignoring his calls, not replying to his messages, but constantly updating her instagram account with new pictures, literally putting the story of everything she eat, every place she visits after her work with her new italian friend group but not talking to him why? because she claimed herself to be busy.
shivaay know why she was busy or how much busy she is actually , he knew that this was nothing but her way of punishing him whenever she got angry she started ignoring him and this kills shivaay more than she can ever understand .
he was constantly fighting with the battle inside his head that whatever he did was not wrong, what was his mistake ? he told annika not to hangout more with her so called new friends, okay fine he literally ordered her.. but in his defence he did so, because she refused to listen him when he was string to make her understand calmly that how her health and her safety is important,
"annika why are you acting so stubborn? can't you listen to me for once ?" he asked.
"shivaay you are stubborn, why can't you understand i have no problem in this in fact i really enjoy hanging out with them after my work." she explained.
"see at first you work for so long, and then you spend all your time roaming here and there with them, you barely got your time for sleep , don't you think your body actually need some rest ? beside they don't seem civilise enough , and honestly in my opinion it's not safe for you to roam around with the people you barely even know in foreign land and that too when no one is around you." he replied calmly yet his voice hold an authority inside it.
"you know shivaay you need to change your thinking , i don't know in which era you are still living, if you don't like it don't do it but please let me take some decision on myself , you might have doubt on this but i know i am mature enough to take care for myself and i know what is right what is wrong for me." she replied in one go, although she was not intented to behave like this but it happened.
"also, i am getting late for my work of course, i will talk to you later." she replied and cut the call.
and hence she started ignoring him from last night.
it was 10 pm at Iindia and in all the day shivaay called her too many times at first she ignored his calls and then her number was switch off.
his heart was beating fast and all the irrational thoughts started crossing his minds.
he checked her last seen on whatsapp it hadn't changed since yesterday, and there was no insta stories or any updates from her since yesterday.
he sat upright on his bead, trying to calm himself down he again and again tried calling her number but it all went in vain.
he pulled his not so long hair and buried his face in the pillow , he didn't know what to do, whom to call, and for the first time he was feeling so helpless so nervous cursing himself why he pick up fight with her at the first place.
hours keep passing at it was 3:00 AM.
still no clue of her, he even called at the place where she was staying and they informed him that she checked out yesterday.
he panicked , he prayed he hoped that she was safe.
staring into the void of night all his worries and pain started streaming down his face in form of tears.
suddenly,
his phone screen flashes with her name, he grabs it immediately ,
"h..hello?"
"hello shivaay..." she replied.
"anni... annika are you okay ?" he asked, curiously.
"oh yeah actually i had a long day at office and after that we decided to explore some other part of this city, and my phone died, but don't worry i am here with them and i am perfectly fine... hello shivaay, you there ?"
"i was worried for you...i haven't sleep all the time i was thinking..." he literally choked out at this thought and tears again started forming in his eyes.
"aww am sorry baby... okay they are calling me , i will call you later please , bye take care." again she cut the call.
he hung up and smashed his phone on the wall angrily.
4:00 AM
someone knocks his door frantically.
"who the hell is this?" he walked towards the door still frustrated hair all messed up , eyes swollen with all his cries and of course with anger on his face.
and as soon as he opens the door, someone threw herself in his arms.
"Surprise, happy birthday babyyy..." annika hugs him tightly.
Shivaay was still in a deep shock he was having hard time deciding whatever he saw was true or not or if he was hallucinating Annika here in his room in his arms on his birthday.
Breaking his trance she proceed,
" I am sorry baby I got late by 4 hours you know my connecting flight acted villain in this, and am sorry for being so mean to you in those 2 days."
"You are really here? Annika that means whatever you were saying was just... Just an excuse..." He asked.
"Yeah because you definitely not let me come here for a day, you know my work get extended for one more week and I was missing you so badly, plus we fought and I don't want to miss your birthday... " She told hugging him tightly.
"I am sorry baby I hurt you." She further added her head still resting on his chest.
"Are you insane Annika you came here just for me, are you serious ?" He asked happiness was all over his mind as this was the first time he witnessed someone going extra mile putting too much effort just for him pampering him spoiling him with all the love.
"Believe me when I say I can do anything for your happiness, it means anything." She winked.
"And that's why you are the best thing happened to me. I love you , I love you so much you idiot. " He replied and kissed all over her face overwhelmed with all the her love.
"I love you even more." She replied. And they both broke into wide smile.
