Seeing as us RiKara fans aren't getting a track, let alone any scenes. We are left with nothing but our own imagination when it comes to Rikara's story post Barielly track. Which, by the way, ended rather abruptly in my opinion. I've had this story on my mind for some time now. I'm trying something a little different with this story. The preface of this story will be a scene that takes place some months after Omkara brings home Gauri from Barielly. Abhay and Svetlana have moved into OM in this story as well. After the preface, the rest of the story will be a series of flashbacks that leads up to this scene. I want to keep this short. But we will see how it develops. I would like to add that I am not particularly good at this but I thought I'd try my hand at it anyway. I apologise in advance for any grammatical or spelling mistakes I might have made. :)
Preface
He paced back and forth in his room. Frustration and anger grew stronger with each step he took. He growled as he with a sweep of his hands, suddenly threw everything off his work table. Paint bottles hit the floor, turning into thousands of shards as the paint got splattered all over the floor. Omkara had a temper. He got angry as fast as he jumped to conclusions. He hated as passionately as he loved. And generally, he was able to compose himself, even though his face had a habit of revealing his true emotions. However, when it came to his wife, the woman he held above everyone and everything else, the woman he loved and could not live without; things were different. When it came to her he couldn't contain his emotions. He didn't have the same control when it came to her. She was his weakness. This had, of course, caused a lot of trouble in his and his wife's lives. This time was no exception. Gauri entered their bedroom moments after. Her eyes fell on the broken bottles and paint on the floor and then moved to the source of the mess. Omkara turned around and looked at his wife who was now standing by the door. His eyes were bloodshot and his face was flushed with exasperation. As soon as her eyes fell into his, his face slightly softened. Silence fell over the room as he was trying to read her eyes that were soon moistened. Hurt. She was hurt. Just like the day before that. And the day before that. All the way back to the night when he had, like before, jumped to conclusions and said things that had cut through Gauri's heart like a knife. Just like the night when he'd accused her of having an affair with her english teacher. And the countless of other times he had mistrusted her and accused her of horrible things. She turned around and was about to leave when Omkara hurled himself towards the door and slammed it shut with his hand. Gauri's body jolted from the loud sound of the slam. She was facing the door as she felt his breath on her neck. He was standing behind her with his hand still on the door, his body only inches away from hers. They had not been this close to each other in a long time. let me go she whispered trying hard not to let her voice crack. Gauri, please he said softly, the yearning tone in his voice unmistakable. His breath on her skin and his deep voice always had a certain effect on her body, it sent shivers skating down her spine. But things were different now. She was hurt, she was tired. She was done. It took every ounce of strength she had left to pull herself together and not melt in his proximity. She turned around while making sure to avoid looking into his eyes. She had to press her back against the door to create some distance between them, his face only inches away from hers. Gauri, look at me he said softly, with a hint of pleading in his voice. He dipped his head down, closer to her face, something he often had to do due to their height difference. His breath was fanning her face making her chest heave as she was struggling to keep in control, her gaze fixed on the floor. She couldn't look him in the eyes, she was already struggling as it was. Gauri he whispered in a low breathy voice. She squeezed her eyes shut tightly, feeling her eyes sting with fresh tears. Her breathing turning more rapid. She had to do something before her resolve faltered. She quickly turned around and grabbed the door knob and pulled with all her strength, but the door didn't open, not even an inch. Omkara's hand was still firmly placed on it. This fueled Omkara's frustration. Gauri! he yelled as he turned her around and grabbed her by her shoulders and pulled her closer to him. let me go! she yelled back as she tugged her shoulders, unable to release herself from his firm grip. Gauri, please listen Omkara pleaded, trying to get her attention. Gauri he called out her name again, this time a little louder. She wasn't listening, she kept struggling frantically in his hold trying to release herself while tears kept streaming down her face. Gauri, stop it! he finally yelled as he slightly shook her to get her to stop struggling in his grip. She stopped, and finally looked him in the eyes. There was a pause as he looked into her tired, tearstruck eyes, and she into his bloodshot, desperate, but serious ones. He tried to compose himself, calm his unjustified anger. Please, listen to me, he tried to keep his voice soft and controlled. Gauri, I'm, I want a divorce she felt her heart shatter into a million pieces as the words left her mouth. Four words she never thought she'd say in her lifetime...
