Take 5: I promise to ignore... - Page 2

J this show has so much Take 5 fodder 😆 with just enough interesting stuff to keep me watching even though I keep asking myself why. Because every now and they will throw in a scene that keeps me hooked. But in between those I keep laughing at the stuff I see!! Unbelievable!! 😆
Now I have just figure out a way to watch this in time for Take 5. Can't manage to do it at airtime and Hotstar is only available the next day without premium subscription

The only thing I remember from today is the 'I love You Annika' screaming bitwa, and was reminded of another, cannot be named, show. Oh my! The contrast.

And this from a fan of the version 1 of the soap that cannot be named here. 😆The story of Shivaay Singh Oberoi,the scion of Oberoi empire for whom only bloodline,lineage and family matters and Annika,just Annika is remarkable ! Been a long time. Happy Diwali

Agree with most of what you have said. J and I have been through that same stage. Of starting late but watching from the beginning. You have to watch the whole journey to get what keeps one hooked despite loads of crap fest and lame plots. There was enough worth watching that kept me wading through some utter nonsense. I started very late (J too I think) but we watched from the beginning with a lot of fast forward help. If I had started watching from the current phase I could never have lasted. Every now and then when things got too ridiculous I often kept asking myself why I was still watching and then there would come a scene that would reel me back in. Now I just enjoy the good bits and laugh at the rest which is entertaining in its own way 😆

Tis hard to judge a sabun (especially a Gul sabun) when most of the vastraharan has already been completed, and the past had some great stuff that reeled several of us in recently. It isn't just the morantic chemistry that hooked me and Biraj, its also the Obro-bromance, the o my maata one liners, the DEE-JINER outfits...and the humor/poignancy/snark ka winning combo. ⭐️

Having said that - I had shame to shame thought as Heineken on yesterday's episode. I can't remember if bhaang is just a Holi thing - but the dialog writers certainly snuck a snootful yesterday, and latkaao'd varsity duo without any lines.

Which be one of my biggest pet peeves on ANY sabun - if I want to watch characters ad libbing onscreen - I'd watch reality TV. 🤢🤢😡

And writing a 20 minute episode everyday is hard (as we know from our pratham experience), so 42 minutes would be shear torture. I was only talking about the episode I watched yesterday. Not making any blanket statements about the entire show.

Lady J pointed to the Shaadi wala episode recently and that looked and felt totally different from yesterday's. Yesterday's episode seemed like there was no dialogues or screen play, the actors seemed to be hamming it through out. It is Diwali and people on the team are probably on vacation, and it shows. Bas itna he I meant.
