Guys...writing a light romantic comedy on a zone yet to be fully explored. Its an TS and hope you guys enjoy it.
Normally I use English for Gauri for the ease of some readers, but in tbis particular OS I would prefer using Hindi for Gauri.

PART 1
The entire family was excited at the arrival of Gauri and Omkara Singh Oberoi's son into the world. Shivansh (part of Lord Shiva) as he was named was a cute, healthy baby with the facial cut out of his father and the eyes of his mother.
After 5 days of hospital stay post her Caesarian section, Gauri and Shivansh were to be discharged. The new born father and husband in Om was super excited.
He had gone baby shopping along with his brothers and bought a cute baby cot with blue upholstery for his son. The cot would be placed just next to their bed so that Shivansh would be under constant supervision. He would be cuddling up with his Gauri after what seemed a decade. The thought itself made him excited. HIS wife and HIS baby. He was filled with pride.
Poor guy...he was so far placed from the reality.
...
Omkara Singh Oberoi completed the discharge formalities and went to Gauri's cabin. She was looking as cute as ever with the glow of a new mother. Baby Shivansh was peacefully sleeping in his mother's arms. What a blissful sight.
Gauri smiled nervously at Omkara...he smiled back reassuringly and nodded. They left the hospital.
As Om was driving them down he noticed that Gauri was quiet and nervous. He understood her emotions. He was equally nervous.
After all they were new born parents to the new born Shivansh.
...
The car came to halt at the portico of OM. Om helped Gauri out of the car and they headed towards the entrance.
At the entrance the entire family was standing to welcome them. Certain rituals were performed prior to entering the house to ward of black magic and evil eye on the new born after which Gauri was allowed to enter the house. Tej was behaving like a kid and Om was surprised to see his dad behaving in that manner. He was indeed a changed man now.
As they entered the living room...Gauri was made to sit on the sofa. She needed to be a bit careful after the surgery and the entire family was being overtly cautious. Om sat beside Gauri. He gave a glance at his wife and truly wanted to pull her cheeks. He kept staring for some time when his trance was broken as the family members one by one wanted to hold the baby.
The hierarchy was followed. Rudra refused to hold the baby...and at the surprise of his family members he explained...
"Agar mere haatho ke beech se woh neeche gir gaya...then what will happen?"...he asked with a serious face
The entire family burst out laughing. Annika's daughter little Adya too wanted to hold the baby...but was royally ignored by her mother.
Ample family time was spent in the living room...and suddenly the baby started crying...
Dadi knowingly said..."Usey bhookh lagi hain..." then she turned towards Jahnvi..."Gauri ko apne kamre mein le ja puttar"...Jahnvi nodded
As Om too was about to go with them...Jahnvi looked at him..."You wait here come after sometime"
Om was confused but didnt argue as the baby was crying.
After half an hour...The entire army assisted Om to his room. Om was longing for some moments with his wife and new born...but probably that would take some more time.
Finally they entered the room. Om felt strange in that room...his paintings and art materials werent there...
Jahnvi read his thoughts and expressions ...she cleared her throat and started..." Gauri...Shivansh yahan soyenge Om..."
Om looked at where his mother was pointing and realised that there was a place neatly done in the middle of their bed with baby quilt and pillow and rubber sheet. The baby would be sleeping between his parents.
Gauri smiled and nodded " Ji..."
Om started..."But mom...i have brought the baby cot...for..."
Dadi blurted in..."Chup kar...tujhe lagta hain...itna chhota sa baby akle cot mein so payega...budhhu kahin ka..."
Om was exasperated..."Akela kahan soyega...hum dono rahenge na pass bed par..."
His brothers were giggling...
Jahnvi glared at him..."Shut up Om...this is the general rule."
Jahnvi turned back to Gauri..." Tum chinta mat karo...main tumhare saath yahin par soungi...dont worry"
Gauri gave a sigh of relief and smiled ..."Dhanyavaad Maaji...hum yahi soch rahein the ki hum isey akele kaise sambhalenge!.."
Om was now feeling frustrated...what was exactly happening...he looked at his mother...and questioned...
"Aap yahan soyengi...main kahan jaunga?"...he asked as a matter of fact
"Guest room..." pat came his sister in law Annika's reply. "Adya ke waqt bhi yehi arragements hue the"...she turned towards Shivaay..."Kyun Shivaay?"...Shivaay looked at Om and slowly nodded.
"But main baby ka khayal rakh sakta hoon..." he started off...but no one seemed to be listening
The ladies' of the house were now busy surrounding Gauri who was sitting on the bed with Shivansh on her lap.
Om's face fell. This was exactly not what he was expecting. He felt a hand on his shoulders. He turned out and it was Shivaay...
"Shivaay...tune mujhe yeh sab kyun nahin bola" he asked angrily...
Shivaay was apologetic..."Woh main kehna chahta tha when we wenf baby shopping...but you were so excited...that main kuch keh nahin paya..." he said...as he continued..."You know Om this is a difficult phase as a father...and trust me its even more difficult as a husband"
Om had a questioning look...
"Tu slowly samajh jayega...i cant explain everything" Shivaay concluded.
Om knew there was no point arguing with his family...too many of them actually...so he straightaway asked the question which was bothering him...
"How long is this arrangement for? " he asked.
Jahnvi looked at him...she understood the desperation in his voice..she smiled to her herself...and replied..."one week...let Guari get a bit used to it then you can come back. She needs to get used to for some days and some elderly guidance is necessary."
Om nodded...he may be excited to the border of depair...but his mom was right...Gauri needed some motherly support and guidance for the newborn at that moment.
He gave a longing look at Gauri and his newborn and with a heavy heart left for the guestroom. It was already sundown and Gauri was looking tired. She definitely needed rest.
...
All the romantic stories Om had read about childbirth and the period thereafter seemed to be an eyewash...this was reality...he sadly sighed. He so badly wanted to hold Gauri and his son at that moment but he couldnt.
Om didnt realise the stories he had read would never paint the real picture or emotions.
...Fatherhood in reality was a much more beautiful and amazing experience than any book would ever express.
To be continued
