I don't think gauri would've listened to Shivaay had he not played the rakhi, bada bhai card. It legit felt like emotional blackmail to me. Anyway, i dunno if she'll stop listening to him anytime soon since he's her only family, but I think this time around shivaay might protect her interests instead of Omkara. Cause jo bhi keh lo, as much as Shivaay cares for gauri, this was legit only for Omkara's benefit cause Shivaay knows there's no one more perfect for him than gauri. If he were thinking about Gauri, toh he'd have never sent her somewhere she was uncomfortable to go.
