THE FLAWED MOON


People wish for the moon even after acknowledging its flaws. Knowing that the uncountable stars in the sky are far more enormous. Knowing that, it does not have its own light. Knowing that it's state will never be the same as the day before, it will wax and wane. Still they desire the moon.
The Flawed Moon.


The reason is that the innumerable stars adorning the sky do not give us assurance of light when its dark. They twinkle at their own places radiating their very own light. But yet fail to give hope of illuminance. It is the moon which holds itself close enough to the earth and reflects all the light, with all its might, to annul the darkness of the earth. This is when we accept the flawed.


She thought while staring at the crescent moon in the sky and thinking of her moon. Her flawed moon.


He had given enough scars to her that she could cry for life over them. He hurt he in ways that no one ever had. He gave her every reason to have him. And yet she accepted him.


Yes she accepted the flawed. As she looked beyond his flaws, she saw a vulnerable man with a fragile heart trying his tooth and nail to keep his dysfunctional family as one part. She had not forgave him if his apologies were not earnest enough, if he did not repented his actions truly. But here he did every effort to tend her wounds. Made every effort to fill her life with unfathomable happiness. He did every thing to mend her soul. Clutched her hands tightly so that she does not get scared of dark anymore. Embraced her strongly so that her nightmares are not for which she cares for. Spent sleepless nights when she is ill so that she finds peace. Played blush games with her behaving like a tease.


All this made her heart filled with happiness and made her look behind his wrongs.


When the imperfect one try to make your life perfect. When the flawed moon spreads its moonlight to enter the cracks of heart and splinter the darkness. This is when we desire the flawed. Love the flawed.
