Shivaay and Anika forever & always..!!!

Everybody at the Vyas house was moving left and right trying to prepare everything so that the name and fame are secured in front of the boy's family. The family that is arriving over to see the beloved girl of the Vyas family, Anika Vyas.

Anika's parent Harish and Supriya Vyas was chilled out parents, but they were not strong enough to stand in front of the head Rukmani Vyas, Harish's mother. A wonder happened when Harish gathered the strength to talk to his mother about allowing Anika to study further, Dadiji agreed only on one condition that after her graduation is complete she will be married off. Harish had no other option but to agree. Anika was not aware of this fact, she was happy that her Dadi gave permission to her to study further.

Anika has just completed her graduation in Event Management and now her family wants her to get married, she comes from a very conservative family, girls were taken away from education from the young age of sixteen and were taught how to do household jobs, and by the age of eighteen, they were married off. Love did not exist for them, they only believed in arranged marriages. The same happened with Gauri, Anika's elder sister. Luckily Gauri's husband Om was a down to earth person, his family was more chilled out compared to the Vyas family. Gauri was very happy with her married life and her in-laws.

Now thatAnika has completed her graduation, Dadiji did not delay in finding a suitable, rich family for her grand-daughter, not that she wanted her grand-daughter married off in a prosperous family, she just wanted to get freed of them, as she believed that girls are a burden, they are useless and should be get married as soon as possible.

In Anika's room:

Anika was sitting in front of the dressing table all downhearted and sad, happiness was miles away from her, Gauri was getting her ready.

Gauri: Anika, what is this..why are u so sad?

Anika: Di, I don't want to get married to Shivaay. He is so arrogant and rude. I just can't spend a single second with him and Dadiji wants me to get married to him...I am not going to marry him and this is final.

Gau: look you know our family really well, this custom has been running in the family since...gosh I have no clue, and on top of that you know Dadiji right..she won't hesitate to kill you and the rest of us if this family tradition is broken.

Anika: I know Di, I know this family only believes in arranged marriages.. you and mom were lucky, you all got gems, and what is the guarantee that this Shivaay will be the same or his family will be like your in-laws. And most importantly, I don't want to get married because I don't love him. I mean whenever we met we always fight and He is Jiju's cousin but he is totally different from him. He don't have any single quality like jiju

Gauri: Anu, Shivaay is a sweet guy. He is loving and caring. I know he will keep you happy

Anika: No Di, I am not going to marry him and it's final. Dadiji can't force me to marry him.

Gauri: Why don't you understand Anu? Dadiji will kill you if you refuse to marry him.(panicking)

Just then Om walks into Anika's room to inform that the Shivaay and his family are here and that his parents are waiting to see Anika.

Gauri: Please Om, You put some brain into your ladli Sister in law.

Om: What happened?

Gauri: She doesn't want to get married to Shivaay. And Dadiji is hell bent on making sure that her rishta is fixed with Shivaay, as she initiated this proposal.

Om: Oh no..!!! and we know that once Dadiji has made her decision that means no turning back.

Supriya: Arre tum log yaha baat kar rahe ho, waha sab niche interzaar kar rahe hai, jaldi karo.

They all leave from Anika's room, Om and Gauri join everyone in the hall, whilst Supriya takes Anika into the kitchen with her.

In Kitchen:

Supriya: Beta, I know that you are not happy with this Rishta.

Anika: (shocked) Ma..I am actually...

Naina: I know sweety, that you have your own dreams but beta in this house a girl's dreams are limited, I'm really sorry beta but me and your father did not tell you that your grandmother only allowed you to complete your graduation with this condition that you will marry the guy who came with the first proposal.

Harish came into the kitchen, as he also has the feeling that his princess was not happy with this proposal, but he just did not have the chance to talk to her privately.

Harish: yes dear, your mother is absolutely right, I know you had dreamt of completing your graduation in Event Managing since you were a child and I had to fulfil this dream of yours but on the other hand I may have also spoiled another dream of yours.. the dream of your wedding..

I know that you have always wanted to marry a person who understands you, who will stand by your side forever, whose family is more modern yet traditional unlike ours.. but.

Anika: Ma, Papa... the thing is that..I.

Dadiji: Arre bahu..Anika ko lekar jaldi aao..

Supriya: Ji, we are coming.

She places the tray filled with tea cups and other savories in Anika's hand and takes her along with her to the hall.

In the Hall:

Everyone was seated down, Anika did not have the courage to look up, her eyes were cast down throughout the process of giving the tea cups to everyone seated in the room. Anika was standing near Supriya and Gauri.

Dadiji: Anika beta..this is Shakti and his wife Pinky aur Shivaay ko toh tum jaanti hi ho...

Anika greeted the couple with a smile but did not look at the Shivaay, Shakti and Pinky looked towards the son who was gaping at Anika non-stop, it was like Anika had some magnetic pull which was pulling this guy towards her, he was simply smiling looking at her.

Shakti and Pinky understood that their son was taken by Pankhuri's beauty so without delaying any further, Pinky insisted with her eyes that Shakti should speak to Dadiji.

Harish: Um, I think these two should be given some time alone to speak and get to know one another...aapka kya khyaal hai? (what do u think?)

Dadiji: hmm..theek hai, Anika... Shivaay ji ko apne kamre mein le jao..

Shivaay nodded, then she stood still for a bit and looked up, and they both looked into each other's eyes and Anika asked him to follow her.

In Anika's room:

Ani: I am sorry Shivaay but I don't want to marry you. I want to study further. I have so many dreams and I want to achieve them all. Please understand and say no for this marriage.

Shivaay: (holds Anika's shoulder) Ok Anika, If u don't want to get married just go and tell your Dadiji. Why are telling me to say no for this alliance?

Anika: Oh god, main aisa kar sakti toh kabka kr deti but Dadiji will kill me for this.

Shivaay: KYU...

Anika: Because this is our tradition that every girl get married early.

Pinky enters into the room..

Pinky: Woh sorry beta tum dono ko disturb karne ke lie par mujhe Anika se kuch baat karni hai

Anika: Jee Aunty boliye

Pinky looks at Shivaay and signs him to go out. Shivaay lefts the room.

Pinky goes near her and holds her hand.

Pinky: I know beta that u want to study further and I don't have any problem with that. I know u have your own dreams but I promise u will not regret getting married to Shivaay. Tumhe lagta hoga woh arrogant h, rude h par woh aisa bilkul nhi h aur maine tumhe aur Shivaay ko pahli baar jab ek saath dekha tha tabhi maine soch lia tha ki tum mere Shivaay k lie perfect ho. Aur agar Shivaay ne iss shaadi k lie na kah bhi dia toh kya guarantee h ki tumhari Dadi kisi aur ladke se tumhari shaadu nahi karaengi. Aage tumhari marji.

Pinky leaves from Anika's room.

Anika thinks about her decision and then joins everyone in the hall.

In the Hall:

Everyone was silently waiting and looking towards ShivIka waiting for their decision, Om and Gauri looked very worried, Supriya and Harish looked scared, Anika had her eyes cast down.

Dadiji: toh, kya faisla liya hai tum dono ne?

Shivaay: Dadiji, hum dono ko yeh rishta manzoor hai.

Dadiji, Shakti and Pinky were happy, whereas on the other hand Om and Gauri were confused and little shocked..all were thinking how come Anika say yes??

After agreeing on the dates etc, it was decided that the following week ShivIka will get engaged and in two months will be the wedding.

Whilst the elders were discussing these points,Om and Gauri were observing Anika who was smiling throughout the whole discussion and was also blushing when Shivaay smiled at her. Both were really confused at Anika's behavior. Only this morning she said she did not want to marry him, and now she is blushing whilst the others are discussing her marriage. Something is definitely fishy here.

Shivaay left with his parents and Dadiji went to bed, everyone goes into their rooms.

In Anika's room:

Without further ado,Gauri bombarded Anika with her questions, which she had been storing in her mind since she saw the change in Anika's behavior.

Gauri: Anika has you gone mad? Only this morning you were saying you did not want to marry that Shivaay as you don't know him and now you're happy, your marriage has been fixed with him and you're smiling...what about your dreams?

Anika: Woh di jab main aur Shivaay room mein the tab Pinky aunty aayi aur...(she told everything that Pinky said to her) and when I was coming in hall Shivaay stopped me and

FLASHBACK

Shivaay: Anika..

Anika turned and saw Shivaay.

Shivaay: I know our meetings are never so pleasant but I can feel that their is a connection betwwen us. U understand me very well. U are my good friend and I really like you but if u don't want to marry me. Then I will say no for this alliance.

Anika: ek minute Shivaay

Shivaay: bolo

Anika: I am ready for this marriage

Shivaay smiles.

Shivaay: Ok then chale

Anika: But u have to promise me something.

Shivaay: KAISA PROMISE

Anika:

Gauri was happy for her sister and hugs her.

It was the day that ShivIka's engagement..the engagement party was held at the Oberoi's place so one can imagine the arrangements. Anika was dressed in a light pink lehenga and Shivaay wore a white sherwani with a light pink scarf around the neck to match his soon to be wife.

Shivaay looked at Anika as she was coming down.

She looks at Shivaay and They were looking into each other eyes and Anika shyly looked down.

They looked like a couple made in heaven, after the rings were exchanged, they were called to the dance floor where they danced, forgetting their surroundings, getting lost in the other's eyes, just being so close to the other made them feel happy, and today they took one step further to a lifetime of togetherness.
