I actually liked how they analysed the parallels.
Shivaay insulted Sahil, Annika insults Omkaara.
Shivaay bought Annika's home to break her. Annika 'owns' OM to break Shivaay out of his sorrow
Shivaay was engaged when the first met. Annika is the one 'engaged' in their second meeting (Shivaay thinks she is engaged and through a comedy of errors, it will end up looking like she engaged to Samarjeet!)
Shivaay is spending the night in jail mirrors the night she spent in jail b/c he was punishing her!
This is really parallel shown between shivika.
