Yesterday's episode was the supposedly the one which had everyone in tears. When I read it, I scoffed, thinking another publicity gimmick.
But truly unknowingly I had tears while watching it. Yes I cried both the times that I watched.
And surprisingly it wasn't for Shivika's relationship breaking. It was for the bond of the brothers that has time and again stood the test of time , the unbreakable love that has emerged stronger with each passing event in their lives..
IB IS about the brothers. Period.
The way shivaay closes Om's ears innocently shielding him from the harsh 'truth' , the way his furious eyes blaze when he broke each and every camera, mike and threatened to sue the media, Shivaay's protector mode was heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time. The extent he can go for his family, for his brothers whom he loves the most,. *sigh* Be it the Rape allegation, or the famous suicidal attempt, Shivaay's love for Om has always shone. It is no secret that shivaay loves Om a tad bit more than the rest of his family, and that love I saw again, yesterday.
The Protector is Protected too.
Except Pinky, everyone standing there who knew the truth was shielding shivaay from the truth that shivaay was shielding om from. Om, ready to have his birth questioned, uncaring about the lifelong taunts & remarks that would surely be hurled at him for his Shivaay, for The WALL who has time and again shielded & supported him. Because despite his repeated claims of Truth over Family, Om in reality is like each one of us. He will go against his beliefs, his morals for his family. For his siblings. Be it hiding the truth about accident to protect his prinku, or shielding shivaay from the truth that will break his whole existence, that will shatter his pride so much, he wont be able to rebuild it again. To protect his brother from breaking, he let his birth be questioned, speculated, taunted upon. Because when it comes to his brothers, nothing else matters.
Rudra , the darling Rudra, always by his brothers' side, the brothers who are more of a parents to him than his own parents ever were. He witness it all, sees his brothers' lives go for a spin, and would surely lend support to them esp Shivaay when it is needed.
Personally I dont think jhanvi n tej would be able to clear the doubts about Om's illegitimacy claim, now that the media have seen the daima video. Not without the original truth coming out in the open. Which makes all their sacrifices null & void. They would, I believe chose to ignore , both for various reasons ofcourse. Jhanvi truly proved what a stellar human she is. She knows NKK matters everything to Shivaay, that he the Singh Oberoi behind his Name defines Shivaay's whole existence. She was ready to tarnish her husband's, her son's name for a son whose mother(s) dont love him the way he deserves to be loved.
Coming to Shakti, now here is a man who knows everything. Who is the root cause of it all. He witness his brother's family bearing the brunt of his mistakes, his own son's happy marital life literally finished, he witnesses the accusations, allegations, the heartbreaks yet chose to stay silent for Shivaay. To protect him. From the truth that will change it all.. Convoluted yes. But still love.
Shivaay the Protector, is protected too. Is loved too. More than anyone else in the family.
