OmRu - are many things. Brothers, Partners in crime, best Friends, Confidantes, two parts of one soul. There are a lot of terms which could describe certain aspects of their relationship and yet, not enough words to truly capture the depth of their beautiful relationship.

For Rudra, Omkara is that best friend with whom he can freely joke around, gossip about Lady Baba's flaws, give away his sculptures as emergency gifts to girlfriends, with whom at his side he can pull Shivaay Bhaiyya's leg especially in matters of the heart. Whom he can wake up in the middle of the night to pray to angels or whom he can make eat his Bhindi a la death with a simple oath on theirlove and some emotional blackmailing here and there, and still get away with nothing but harmless slaps or glares.

Sometimes, he is O - when they are being friends and confidantes and cause mischief together. Other times, he is Bhaiyya - when Rudra is emotionally stressed and needs someone to take care of him. If there is any danger lurking around the corner, Rudra always finds his O to cling to. Their Koala clinging has become a signature gesture by now, greatly loved by their fans even though, it never lasts longer than a few seconds.

Omkara, on the other hand, can easily slip into theprotective brother mode if the need arises - like it did during the hospital scenes when Shivaay was battling between life and death. The only thing keeping Om from falling apart was the fact that Rudra needed him. He poured as much comfort into his baby brother as he sought from him. Whenever he and Shivaay are fighting and Rudra comes up, looking disturbed and anxious, Om signals Shivaay not to tell Rudra anything- he tries to protect him from ugly realities, things that might hurt him and that despite his great dislike for lies. This might not be really lying yet, it is dishonesty, to some levels, thus indicating that subconsciously, Omkara does put his brothers, Rudra, at least, above his truth. t, unlike Shivaay, Om doesn't try to keep Rudra away from all the serious issues. When he found out about why Shivaay seemingly hated Anika so much, he told Rudra about it without hesitation and included him in the investigation - other instances show a similar pattern. Maybe because he knows perfectly well how much it hurts being excluded? And Rudra, in turn, became the peace-keeper between ShivKara. The one to diffuse the tensions when these two clash - he hates it when people around him fight but never is he as affected by it as he is when the fighting parties are his Bhaiyya and O.

Omkara also takes it upon himself to show Rudra the correct path in life. To teach him what is right and what is wrong - like a parent would.

One of the most beautiful aspects of OmRu's relationship is that they don't need words to convey their thoughts and feelings. These two are all about gestures. Be it an assuring glance, the lingering touches, or silent conversations... words are not needed, their connection runs so deep that they just know. And the chemistry between them is a real treat to watch unfold on screen - real magic that has charmed so many viewers and keeps charming them more and more with each of their scenes.
