Part Five- Main Tumari Family Bana Chahta Hoon
" Shivaay mujhe lagta hai ki mujhe nahin aap ko chote lagi hai. Aap muhje itne miss kare the na islyle aap hilge hain. Please relax and think about this," she declared.
Shivaay reached over and held her hands.
" Anika main sach main tumari family bana chahta hoon. Haan main hilga tha. Yeh zindagi tumari bina kali lagti hai," Shivaay replied.
Anika's eyes filled with tears.
She got separated from her sister and parents years ago. She has no idea what her real surname is.
" Mera kuch nahin hai. Na naam, khoon ya khandan ka paata. These things matter to you. Will you be able to live with me the rest of our lives likes this?," she asked.
Shivaay sighed.
" Yes Anika. I want you to be safe and happy. I will take time to change but give me some time," he stated.
" Aap ki family mujhe accept nahin kar payi gayi Shivaay. Aap ki Mom mujhe pasand nahin karti," Anika stated.
Shivaay reached in his pocket and revealed her braclet. Anika looked at him stunned.
" Yeh kahan mila aap ko?"
" Does it matter? When someone you care for disappears or is in some problem and you cannot even help them, the grief and desperation is very suffocating," he stated as he put her bracelet back on her hand.
Anika looked at him earnestly.
" Let's get engaged. This will bring Daksh out of hiding. We can finish him for good. You can see the depth of my feelings for you. Then decide if you want to marry me," Shivaay suggested.
" Toh yeh aap ke liye khel ya business deal ke tarah hai," Anika retorted.
Shivaay picked her up and placed her on the bed. He tucked her in and placed her legs on a pillow.
He then sat down besides her.
" I don't know what romance is exactly. Lekin main tuhme khush dekhna chahta hoon," he stated.
"Mr. SSO you don't need to marry me to protect me," she stated.
" So you are saying no to my proposal?"
" Nahin Shivaay. Maine kab na kaha par meine haan toh nahin bola," she said with a smile.
Shivaay shook his head. He would have to find another way to convince Anika. She was stubborn and playing dumb.
He started to get up to leave, when she grabbed his wrist.
" I will marry you agar aap Pinky Auntie ko convince kar sakte hain," she declared.
Shivaay nodded. For this he would have to convince his mother of his feelings for Anika. Dadi already loved her. She would be his wife sooner or later.
The three brothers met in Om's room.
" Mujhe Ma ko samjana hoga," Shivaay declared.
"Lekin Bhaiya Choti Ma ko naam, khoon aur khandan ki fikar hogi na?," Rudra asked.
" Rudra is right for once. Choti Ma ko se lagta hai ki tuhme vaise ladkhi chaiye hai," Om added.
Shivaay was lost in thought.
" One more thing is bothering me. Why did Daksh kidnap Anika? He could have approached her directly," Om stated.
" Shivaay Bhaiya us kamine ko mar dal dete," Rudra snickered.
"Nahin aise baat nahin hai. One time Anika called me a few weeks before the kidnapping The phone call got disconnected. I went to her house to check if she was there. When I got there she was shaken up and very distressed. Kahin who stalker Daksh toh nahin tha?," Shivaay stated.
Omkara and Rudra exchanged worried looks.
" Daksh bauth shaiytar nikla. But we have to teach him a lesson. There must be an obsession of some sorts. But obssessions can fade away with time. He must had a another motive as well," Om declared.
" I wish we can find him and just beat him up. But maybe we should look into Anika Didi's past? Maybe he knows something we don't?"
" Rudra you might be right. Baazi uske haath mein nahin rehne de sakte. I don't care what Anika's background is, but maybe it's time we find out so we can keep her safe," Shivaay stated.
The brothers instructed Khanna to start the investigation. Shivaay got a call in the morning about Hope Home orphanage.
The headmistress denied him the information at first but then he ended up giving a large donation.
" Yeh lo. Actually Anika aur iski ek behn yahan rehti thi. The man who dropped them off here did not leave a name. But stated the girls last name was Bajaj. The parents had died in accident. Anika had muttered this in her sleep one night. She was very ill when she arrived here," the headmistress stated.
Shivaay's eyes almost watered as she filled him in that the sisters were separated. Anika was too sickly to be adopted at first, so her sister was taken from her within a matter of a few weeks.
Anika's sister's name was Gauri. The headmistress warned that the family may have changed her name.
Shivaay paused to recall what Anika had yelled out in her dream the other night.
" Chutki mujhe chor ke mat ja!"
"Ka Anika usse Chutki bulati thi?," Shivaay asked.
"Haan jee exactly yeh bulati thi. Uski choti behn thi na."
Shivaay resolved to find the location of Anika's sister.
Meanwhile..
" Soumya mujhe Sahil se milna hai abhi. Ek hafte se woh Bua charil uske saath patna nahin ka kari hogi," Anika muttered.
" Anika, Bade Bhaiya asked you to rest here until he comes back," Soumya stated.
Anika paused recalling Shivaay's words.
" He demanded I stay here. But I told him I can't stay here until Pinky Auntie is ok with me staying here. Main jari hoon. Vaise mujhe usse Bua par shak ha. She may have helped Daksh in his plan to kidnap us," she stated.
Anika turned to walk towards the door.
" Tuhme aana hai toh aao."
" Main aari ho. Sahil bhi mera bhai jaisa hai, aur agar us Bua ne kuch plan kiya hai humare khiaf phir main bhi uski wat lago gi," Soumya added.
" Chal phir, aaj hum usko dekhte hai ki Anika aur uske bhai aur dost ke saath yeh sab karne ke baad unka haal main kya karti hoon."
Anika arrived at her home with Sahil crying with relief to see her alive.
"Anika Didi! Bua ne kaha ki aap kabhi wapis nahin aaoge! Kuch khana bhi nahin diya mujhe," the child cried with defeat.
"Soumya, Sahil ke liye khana banate hain. Jab Bua aayagi phir main usko aisi khalogi ki zindagi bar mujhe ya Sahil se aakein utake baat nahin kar pangi ," Anika stated. ( Let's make Sahil food. When Bua comes I will feed in a way that her whole life she will not be able to raise her eyes to talk to me or Sahil.)
Soumya noticed the heavy set woman steaming at the doorstep as they sat down to feed Sahil.
" Tu yahaan kaise?," Bua screeched.
" Buaji main koi katchi kiliadi nahin hoon," Anika said blowing on her nails.
"Anika Di aap iski band bajao. Main aur Soumya popcorn leker aate hain," Sahil said with a smirk.
Anika walked over confidently towards Bua.
She nearly dropped the box of ladoos in her hands. Anika grabbed the box and stuffed one in Bua's mouth.
"Bidaai ho! Main zinda hoon. Sahil bhi thori dere main theek ho jayaga. Lekin aap ka bura waqt shuru," Anika declared.
Flashes of the abuse Sahil may have suffered went through Anika's mind. Then she recalled the past few years and the kidnapping incident up to sometime ago when she found Sahil so desolate.
Keeping each of these things in mind she started stuffing Bua's mouth.
" Here have this for Sahil's suffering. This for making Soumya suffer with me. Oh and this for helping him stalk me. Kitna gir sakti hai aap?"
" Aur yeh paani lo!," Anika said splashing it on her face mostly.
" This is also for framing me and insulting me. If you cannot help others, don't abuse them for their circumstances! How could you abuse a sick child? Aap uski Bua hain. Dhabba ho aap aurat ke naam pe or Bua ke naam pe," Anika yelled.
" Maaf kar de beta," Bua begged after spitting out some ladoo.
Anika looked at her fiercely.
" Ek shaart pe," Sahil stated.
"Sahil lekin isne tere saath..
" Didi aap ke saath inho ne society ke samne aap ki basadi ki. Ab inki bari," Sahil replied.
Soumya smiled and snapped her fingers.
" Leave it up to me. I will get everything ready. Bua aap ko saach batana padega aaj sab ke samne," Soumya declared.
Back at Oberoi Mansion,
" Rudra, Shivaay is out for some work. What will we tell him? He wanted Anika to wait for him," Omkara stated.
" Haan lekin kidnapping ke vaja se we all forgot about Sahil. Anika Didi was worried for him and she told Soumya she had to leave. I only came to know when Soumya messaged me this," Rudra stated.
He showed Omkara, Anika teaching Bua a lesson.
"Iska matlab Bua helped Daksh stalk and then kidnap Anika!," Omkara.
" That is horribles. What woman helps a strange man bother another woman!," Pinky exclaimed.
" Hum jare hain tamasha dekne ke liye. Anika Didi, Bua ko sab sachi batane ke liye majboor kar juki hai," Rudra declared.
" Phir main bhi woman powers dekna chahti hoon," Pinky declared.
" Chalo phir Choti Ma," the brothers stated together.
They rushed towards the car and were met by Shivaay's car.
Shivaay hopped out and looked questionlingly at his mother and brothers.
"Kya hua? Tum sab log kahan jare ho?," he asked.
" Anika.."
"Kya hua Anika ko?"
" Just sit in the car beta we will explain. Jaldi chalo!," Pinky demanded.
The four of them arrived to hear Bua's confession. His brothers had filled him on the way merely that Bua was going to admit her wrongdoings.
When Bua admitted she helped Daksh with Anika's kidnapping, Shivaay was furious.
" Yeh batao ki aap ne uski help ki thi meri didi ko darne ke liye," Sahil stated.
Shivaay's face turned redder and his knuckles white.
"Kitni besharm aurat hai yeh," Pinky declared.
The press caught wind of the happenings and filmed Bua's confessions. Some of the society people placed her on cart and put sticky notes on her and started taking her around the neighborhood.
"Yeh log thori dere main tak jayenge," Sahil stated.
"Koi baat nahin, vaise she admitted everything," Anika said happily.
She sighed and turned around to come face to back to Shivaay.
" Aap yahaan?"
" Don't look at me like that. Tumne meri baat nahin mani."
"Par Shivaay, Sahil ke liye mujhe aana pada.."
" I have some news for you. Tum kehti thi na ki tumara koi surname nahin hai, par mere paas ek information aayi hai," he declared.
She looked at him puzzled.
" Kounse information?"
" Tumara surname Bajaj hai aur tumari chutki zinda hai," Shivaay replied.
Her eyes watered in relief.
Her sister was alive somewhere. She had a surname. She was not just Anika anymore. For years she just accepted she was no one, but today Shivaay Singh Oberoi had just told her otherwise.
