This is an EXCELLENT analysis. Many of us here don't know Hindu mythology and how it reflects on the characters, so ty for that part.

When you have seen hardships, either you become a hardened, cut throat cynic or you become deeply empathetic, looking beyond persons mistakes and flaws.

She is so used in control of herself. She was able compartmentalize things. Not Shivay. He is slowly loosing control because of her and for her.

Annika and Shivaay are fascinating characters, they have complementing qualities. They are beautifully written and are played to perfection by Nakuul and Surbhi.

No doubt about it. For me characters has to be interesting and flawed to watch something. And Nakul and Surabhi has done a great job so far.

Shivaay has his weaknesses, which he doesn't show anyone, but he has allowed Annika to see some of it. Whatever she has seen, she does not judge him, but offers her perspective when he would have brashly rode in guns blazing.

Yes. They are only ones who has seen each others vulnerabilities. Because they know the other is strong enough to handle that.

Annika is an empath, she seeks to understand and rationalize a certain behaviour. Honest and guileless. What you see is what you get with her. Open book.

In contrast, Shivaay is a strong facade , with which he faces the world, being the pillar of his household. A brother, a son and provider. He let's no one in on his troubles, seeks to fix everything his way, the easiest way.

True. True hardship will either create a hardcore, tough cynic or a deeply empathetic person. Both Shivay and Annika has seen hardships (of different kinds). But they dealt with it in different manner. For Shivay everyone is an enemy until he/she proves it otherwise. For Annika everyone is a friend until he/she proves it otherwise. But both are not blind to human flaws, human greed, evilness which lurks behind the facade.

It's beautiful to see him let Annika in, especially now when his family izzat was at stake in this plot by the Kapoors. The shield has been reinforced by the protection, in your analogy.

Yup. I do hope to see the relationship moving forward from this track.

She has a basic nature of forgiving anybody not only Shivaya. Her best quality is she finds positive quality in person and work on that. But at the same time keep in mind negative quality of that person also. Tia exposure case also she could see that Tia loves D and she worked on that. See everytime she said I want that T and D should meet because they love each other. That is the reason she is successful in her mission.[/QUOTE

Yes. She accepts the persons with flaws. She is not blind to them. That is the reason why she forgave Shivay so easily.
