We automatically thought it was a romantic phrase. What if it wasn't, but it was actually a request for help to expose Tia and Mrs K.

Coming to your post, I agree Shivaay is more physically expressive in his love. He does these little things that provide a signal to Anika that billu does feel something for her. And they do acknowledge this, too. Many times, they've talked about this "thing" between them that refuses to go away.

However, despite that feeling that was acknowledged so long ago, Anika hesitates to show her love. Because even though they admit about the existence of this attraction, billu has insulted her despite that so many times that the fear of rejection is ingrained in her brain. How many times has he had a perfectly lovely moment with her and majorly rejected her the next morning? Shivaay does have an inkling of where Anika's feeling are inclined, as per the hospital track.

So this is why, I feel, Shivaay will have to be the one to take the first step. He must tell Anika he's willing to spend the rest of his life with her and give her the status she deserves. Even if not in so many words. Just the actions would do. Because right now, she's in limbo about where they stand. She wouldn't even mind it if he doesn't outright tell her he loves her. Just the surety of having him by her side will be enough for her, for the time being.

And this is where NKK comes in. It's the only thing holding billu back. He's looks ready to commit to Anika for a lifetime, at this moment. His prejudices are the only thing standing in the way. That, along with, a small, simple signal from Anika.

Coming to the OLVs. I'm happy to know Tia's leaving. However, the writing is so muddled and "sir se utarana" type ke I'm not fully able to digest it. I mean, are you trying to tell us ke everything was fake? Even Rohit? 🥺.

What about the "did you like it?" That cannot have been fake - not because I'm some hormonal romantic - but because it looked too darn genuine for it to be fake.

I dunno but the way they've executed this is so sloppy and lazy, that I'm talking this with a pinch of salt. May be it's because I'm professionally a writer. I can't digest laziness in consistency, bad coherence and messy plot. Esp unfaithfulness towards character. That's a HUGE TURN OFF for me. So while I'll take it, I'm not fully happy about it.

The way he keeps trying to get a reaction out of Annika, tells me of an urgency stemming from frustration. Tia is about to be exposed and Annika was planning to leave after.

THIS. Despite the fact that this was all a game, I think somewhere along the way, the line between pretence and genuine feelings became muddled for both of them. That's why Shivaay did so much chance pe dance. Otherwise, the NBs knew ShivIka weren't getting along, there was no reason to force her to sleep on his bed or for Anika to make him jealous.

One user pointed out that CVs want us to to look at this situation in a Big Brother like way. Since ShivIka were being watched 24/7, they can't always be pretending. Aslee personality bahir a hee jaatee hai 😆. I think I'll embrace that explanation.

So I believe that under the guise of the ML, Shivaay and Anika did express their real feelings and because they were protected by this bahana of the fake ML, they were even freerer because neither one could question the other, afterwards. They would just chalk it down to the plan. "Main toh sirf Tia ka such samney laaney ke liye ker raha tha/rahee thee"

ML might have been a plan, but Annika probably scared/ confused him with the unpredictability of what exactly she was doing.

Or Perhaps he stumbled upon her ruse when Rudra returned, because he was right there at Gulmohar Rd, and didn't take any action.

He didn't actually. He's said in the OLVs that everything - right from the fight that led to Anika falling - was engineered by them. Sorry, if I've spoilt it for you. Lol.

One thing though, Annika was staring at the statue intently, methinks Khanna told her something.

Whether he told her or not, I do agree he knew something. Khanna was about to reveal something important to Shivaay. I felt that was so because they showed him to be quite consistent in his insistence.

I really hope they show us a flashback of that scene too, because the more I think about it, the more I feel that is when the idea for this whole plan started in Shivaay's mind. He may have had his doubts about Tia since she claimed she is pregnant with his baby, but I feel he made this plan because the attacks on him and Anika were increasing every day, and he couldn't afford to let Anika leave. So maybe his 'I need you' was for his plan, but I also feel he used reverse psychology on Anika to make her come back home, knowing that if he told her to stay because her life was in danger, she wouldn't have stayed, but if he told her he needed her, she would not be able to say no, since she can never say no to anyone asking for her help.

My one question after all the OLV's revealing the plans, is that why couldn't have this been an only Anika and OmRu kind of plan? I understand a lot of times OmRu weren't there to carry it forward, but I feel like it would have been more dramatic/effective if Anika's memory was really lost and Shivaay really thought she forgot him.
