|- Part Three -|

"Mmm..." Anika sat on the bed, rubbing her eyes. The first thing she realized was the surrounding. She wasn't in her home. She had been married and she would of course need some time to get used to it.

"Good Morning." Shivaay wished her, getting his head out of the laptop, on finding Anika woken up from her sleep.

"Good Morning." Greeting him back, she pulled off the duvet. "Oh god! Its already 7? I am late." She panicked, hurriedly stepping out of the bed. "Why didn't you wake me up?"

"It's okay Anika." Shutting down laptop, he walked towards her. "It's not that late. You were sleeping and I didn't want to wake you up. I'd rather let you sleep more than waking you up. You look so beautiful while..."

He paused, not knowing if he should say. One thing that was stopping him was he thought maybe it was rushing too fast. He himself had promised her that he would give her time but he couldn't help it. He was getting helplessly attracted towards her. It was kind of a thing which was so hard to believe. He had met her just two days back. It was practically impossible that he was literally battling with himself to shift his gaze from her.

"I'll get ready." She quickly picked up one Saree from her bag, heading towards the washroom. Looking at her retreating back, he smiled before he sat, with a book in his hand, flipping the pages.

---------------

"Anika, can you make it a bit sooner? Actually, Mom had come to call us." He knocked the door of the washroom, letting her know that they needed to go down.

"Yes, I am almost done."

He heard her, and stepped a little backwards from the door, realizing the sound of knob. His head bent down, and was about to turn back when he saw her, clad in a blue Saree, her hairs shining as they fell front from her shoulder and she looked beautiful.

"Give me five minutes." She apologetically said, going towards the dressing table. Adjusting her Saree in front of the mirror properly, not wanting to leave any sort of chance to get embarrass in front of her In-Laws, she wore her Mangalsutra along with filling her partition with the Vermilion. She set her hairs, choosing to let them open and turned towards him, "Let's go."

Pulling the door of the room, he made his way out along with her. She is too adorable. Smiling to himself, as how instantly she lowered her gaze when his fingers clasped within hers, he kept walking. Even if he had promised to give things time, he would not leave chances to make this relationship beautiful, to make their memories special... to make her feel like a princess, his princess.

*****

"Beta, today is your first Rasoi, would you like to make something? It's not necessary though, if you don't want..."

"I'll Aunty." Anika cut her mother-in-law, quickly walking inside the kitchen. She greeted Pinky with a smile. Pinky just kept her hand on Anika's head, blessing her. "And don't call me Aunty; call me Mom, just like Shivaay does. For me, you are just my daughter." Anika nodded positively before she asked Pinky to go and sit on the dining table, saying she would bring breakfast.

*****

"Wow, this is just delicious. I have never eaten something like this. Do teach your Mom too." Shakti praised Anika, eating the Sandesh with a contended smile, before he pointed towards Pinky, leaving a giggling Shivaay looking at the shocked expression of his mother.

"Thank you Dad." She was delighted to know, that her new family liked what she made for the very first time, in her new home. It really mattered to her. Like every girl, it scared her somewhat, making her nervous, what if it doesn't taste good. But hearing Shakti's praise, she was relived.

"Ignore him," Pinky said hitting on her husband's arm lightly, "But do teach me." And there were giggles and laughter again, echoing in Dining room. "But Beta, this is a Bengali dish, if I am not wrong. How do you know to make this?"

"I am fond of cooking Mom... especially deserts. So I love learning and making them."

His gaze stuck at her. His heart adored the brightness shining in her eyes, when she talked. Her almond shaped dazzling eyes made his heart flatter.

Eyes!

Her eyes were the liveliest one, he had ever come across. At the same time, mysterious! Very very mysterious!

In a very short time of barely few days, he had started understanding her. He remembered their first meet. When he had met her at her home, she hadn't spoken much but still, he understood everything.

Reason? Again, it was her eyes.

"Um Shivaay, how is Sandesh?"

Pinky caught a glimpse of her son, who looked like nowhere to be found on earth for that moment. He literally blinked his eyes several times, breaking his trance, looking apologetically at everyone. And quickly tried covering up, "It's delicious."

But damage was already done. It was of no use. Looking at his parents who were suppressing their laughter, he glanced at Anika who lowered her eyes, being slightly embarrassed and excused herself before she carried herself towards the kitchen, "I'll just bring water."

"I will eat in room. I just remembered, I have some important mail to send." Not waiting for his parent's reply, he ascended the stairs, gripping his plate.

Staring at each other, Mr and Mrs. Oberoi, newly turned In-Laws, laughed over heartedly, witnessing the adorable scenario, which pulled them into the memory lanes, in the initial days of their marriage.

"He is in the room."

Pinky informed Anika, who had returned with glasses of water. Putting them on the table, she nodded and walked up.

Slowly pushing the door, she stepped inside and caught a sight of Shivaay who had sat on the bed, doing nothing particular. His lips curved upwards, the moment he found her.

Shifting forward, she handed him over, the glass of water, she brought for him. Taking the glass from her hand, he made her sit on the bed, beside him.

Her eyebrows raised in curiosity and anticipation of what his actions were referring to. He flashed his most genuine charming smile, assuring her about something he himself had no idea about.

"Here," picking up his plate, he forwarded it towards her, silently making her eat. For a moment, she was taken aback with his gesture.

So this was why, he came up?

For her?

She felt herself glowing with the feeling, his one small act raised within her. Never had she expected someone to think that much about her.

She wouldn't deny that it simply touched her soul.

Slightly shaking her, he broke her trance. "I could have eaten down also." She stated, wondering to hear his reply.

"I know, but I wanted you to eat here so that I can gift you. And that I didn't want to give in front of Mom Dad." Sliding the plate in her lap, he got off the bed.

"Eat first." He spoke, which made the amusement shining over her face to turn into a slight frown.

"I am not hungry."

She hated to admit but she wasn't a food lover. In fact, eating would equals to punishment in her dictionary.

"No wonder you are so thin."

"Ah I am not thin." She cried softly, listening to the very same line again, which almost every second person told her.

"Okay baba, you aren't thin. You are very healthy. Happy? Now eat please."

He saw her looking at plate, and laughed mentally looking at how disinterested she was, when she took a bit of it. No wonder, she is so petite. She doesn't really eat. But I'll make sure, that she eats well now onwards. Another promise, Shivaay Singh Oberoi made to himself, regarding his wife, Anika Shivaay Singh Oberoi.

Anika Shivaay Singh Oberoi! How well that sounded?

Neither his name alone or her made him feel so special, but her name along with him, that came like it was made for her only. It invoked kind of feelings within him that were nothing but unknown to him. Bliss! That sounded divine, just like her.

But however, he liked it. He liked how his life was shaping, with her. He liked the change, a change that was calming!

A change that was soothing!

A change that was relaxing!

A change that was warming!

A change that was enchanting!

A change that was magical!

The soon she finished eating; he dropped his right hand into his pocket, and pulled out a blue velvet box.

"Anika?" he asked, willing to know, what made her smile so wide when came across her smile, which was reaching to her eyes.

"I love blue!" She exclaimed, like a child, with an altogether cheerful expression. He stood at rest. It was the first time; he was witnessing the childish side of his wife, who seemed always mature and sensible to him.

Nevertheless, he seemed like loved it, as he shifted near her, pulling her above. He was amazed to see the girl, rather woman, who stood next to him.

Her sparkling eyes, that soft giggling, the way her gaze glued at the box in his hand, revealed to him, that she had no affection towards what was inside that box. All what she was eying at, was the box... blue coloured box.

"Liked it?"

Eagerness flickered through his view, as he asked, sliding a Cathedral style round-cut diamond ring set in 14K white gold in her finger.

"We haven't had an engagement. So I just thought of buying this for you." He stared at her, putting the ring to the end of her finger, only to perceive her surprised self.

"It wasn't needed." She mumbled feebly, caressing the ring softly, looking at how expensive it was. He smiled, seeing she was back to her mature self.

"You didn't like it?"

"It's beautiful." Lifting her gaze at him, shifting from the ring, she added, "Thank you." For which, she was responded only with his ever so charming smile.

Words weren't needed for the situation, he thought.

*****

"Beta, Shivaay will drop you. And he will come around evening to pick you up. Shivaay?" Pinky turned towards Shivaay, waiting for his confirmation on her statement.

"Yes Mom." He positively nodded, getting inside the car. Anika bent down to touch Pinky's feet.

"Stay blessed. And come back soon."

Quickly mumbling a yes', she sat in the car and he drove it towards her home. He found it very cute, when he saw her rolling the mobile in her hand, from all possible direction, humming something in a barely audible voice.

"Which song is that?" He asked, breaking the silence, which was seemed to be had haunting him. He hated seeing her quiet. That somehow gave water to the seed of questions, in his mind.

"Huh?" escaped from her mouth, failing to acknowledge if he said something and if he did, then what.

"I asked, which song you are singing?" he repeated, turning the steering, with his focus on driving.

He was someone, who believed in following rules, and especially when it came to driving thing. Every day, newspaper and television Medias show how some innocent loses their lives, just because of the careless drives of others. He certainly hated seeing, how people now a days, do not understand the price of someone's life. He would never do that, which would cause anybody else, any injury, because of his mistake.

"Oh, that's an old one. I am afraid if you have even heard it." Keeping her mobile in her lap, she recollected his words, replying him in her soft voice. She was apprehensive about letting him know about her choices, remembering about how almost her every friend had made a fun of her, saying how can she like any that type of songs.

Her husband would make fun of her? That too, the very next day after getting married?

That was definitely not a good idea. So she preferred being quiet.

She was jolted as he suddenly halted the car. That showed, how absent minded she was that time, probably lost rather than absent minded. He quickly held her forearm, so that she doesn't get hurt. "You okay?" asked a concerned self of him. To which she answered with a beamed smile, asking him not to worry.

"Now tell me that song." A sudden guilt rushed inside him when her face fell on his question. But he heard her speak, the next moment.

"That's Tera Mujhse Hai Pehle Ka Nata Koi, Yuhi Nahi Dil Lubhata koi."

"Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, Maane Tu Ya Maane Na." He completed the rest of the lines, which left her shocked, knowing he had heard the song. Scratch that, he even remembered the song.

"Your home... Get down Anika." He pointed outside, breaking her reverie. Taking seatbelt off, she stepped out of the car, still thinking about the song and him.

When he shut the door of the car, getting out, he stopped her when she had made her way inside her home. She came back to earth, hearing him and walked back to him. He leaned against his car, waiting for her.

Reaching his hand out, he gently gripped her arm. "I am fond of old songs too. That is one of my favourites. You do not need to think twice before telling me anything." He spoke, wanting to take that line of hesitation from her.

He couldn't resist but leaned forward and pressed his lips against her forehead, letting them linger there for few moments. "And even if I hadn't heard it, I would still have loved to hear. How can I not like something which you love? You are my wife, Anika. And not only I respect your choices, but I would love to be a part of your choices. So do include me in them."

Backing to his original form, he assured her, letting her know, about the importance her choices held in his life.

About the importance her likings, held in his life.

About the importance she held in his life!

She stood still, unable to react anything. Everything he just did was to assure her about how much she can be free with him. He wanted her to be her own self, with him, not pretending anything at all, not worrying about anything, not hesitating a bit about anything.

And those efforts returned the smile on her face, the one which reached to her eyes, her cheeks slightly getting pinkish with the blush crept, when her mind replayed the recent thing he did.

All he wanted to do was, to take his blushing adorable lady in his arms and to never leave her. But, he had to take her home first!
