One-of-a-kind: Star Plus to launch Ishqbaaaz spin-off'

Star Plus is going the experimental way yet again!!

The Nayi Soch' of the channel will now cater to the viewers' demands of depicting the love story of the famous Oberoi brothers (Omkaara and Rudra) of the popular show, Ishqbaaaz.

Yes, Gul Khan's 4 Lions Films will create history by exploring the unexplored territories of Ishqbaaaz via a new show, a spin-off of the original.

You heard it right!!

The new show which will launch sometime in February will depict the love story of Omkaara (Kunal Jaisingh) and Rudra (Leenesh Matto).

Are you wondering why a new show?

Here's the answer - While Ishqbaaaz is primarily the love story of Shivaay (Nakuul Mehta) and Anika (Surbhi Chandana), the new show will dwell into the love stories of the other two Oberoi brothers.

A credible source tells us, "The idea of having a spin-off of Ishqbaaaz (a trend where a spin-off show is created from the original series, which is very common in international arena) came from the fact that the makers are not able to get into the love story of the other two brothers in the 21 minutes of episode given to them. Hence, in order to cater to the loyal fans of the other two brothers, the new show will be launched."

Point to note here will be that Ishqbaaaz and the new show will have the same characters. Even Shivaay and Anika will be seen in the new drama, but the new territory will belong to OmRu and their girls, played by Shrenu Parikh and Neha Lakshmi Iyer respectively.

Our source further confides, "The new show is slated to go on floor in the next few days. The show will have a new title, somewhere related and associated with Ishqbaaaz. It will launch in February and will take the 10.30 PM slot."

As of now, P.O.W. - Bandi Yuddh Ke airs in the 10.30 PM slot. It is believed that the new show coming from 4 Lions Films will take the slot once P.O.W. the finite series will end.
