Ishakara were never threat to shivika neither viceversa it was that ishana was not well written character the Bella - Mala and ishana antics never attracted audiences at first place and remember even Anika was never excepted either initially but as it grew ppl go hooked to shivika .
Rudy- soumya scenes were well excepted right from the beginning but later there track ruined by bringing romi bakwas .
So basically these 3 pairing were perfect but execution were very bad but shivika was only one successful because Gul tried old concepts on them using scenes from her own old shows like geet / ipk /qh/ humsafars ..so shivika fetched trp .
Gul only wants survival in trp chart she doesn't even care the way story goes and what all error writer makes in the process like tia and svetlana as sister and romi too and mrs kapoor a widow and tia married and what not according to trp Gul writers keeps changing the script and scenes have no connection what's so ever .
Basically want to enjoy the show and just take it easy .
We all know omru are neglected badly but even if u want we have no control on that because channel and Gul want profits we are tongue tided ..
Only we can hope 2017 Gul shows some consideration on omru tracks and go with what she planned not be a prey to trp chart.

Yes your points are valid one but then again i would say here gul is at fault
Shivika were meant to work because they had kind of love story in which gul had mastered
So i don't think gul needed to devote this much time on them
Ishkara and rumya were something new for gul herself so she needed to focus on them more but she didn't and there's no denying in that
From the start only she focused more on her favourite genre love story which is clearly visible from the first episode of the show and till now its same
How do you expect audience to get attracted to a particular character or couple if you don't even show them?

And to be frank its not shivika who are fetching trps because if that was the case then show would have got good trps from the start because from the start only they are shown constantly and properly
Ok i would agree initially its not possible to get good numbers directly but then after 100 episodes too trps weren't that good
They only became good only after shivika marriage track
So basically its not shivika but the drama that fetched trps
Same old drama of bechari fl and arrogant ml and his family torturing fl
Hence we can easily presume that from the last show of gul to now ishqbaaz there has been no change in the mentality of people
And for changing the channel
See the promos of the show promised the story of 3 brothers
So when other 2 brothers got sidelined aren't their fans allowed to complaint?
Changing channel is not a solution cmon
They too devoted their time on this show and fell in love with the characters and are still expecting to see them
