Part 9: Healing.
It was midnight, the clock just struck one. Anika had been restless all along. She was still thinking about the evening and his announcement. She felt him fidgeting.she stealthily turned towards him, he was continuously shaking his right leg and was at unease. She immediately sat up straight and placed her hands on his shoulder,
"Shivaay! Aap theek hain???" Her heart racing
He held his right arm from his left and struggled to sit up straight. She helped him at once
She panicked "Shivaay main OmRu ko bulaati hoon!"
He immediately spoke up-"No. its fine, wo dwaai do!"
She instantly sprang up, knowing exactly which medicine he was speaking of.She got the medicine and water and helped him take it, siting beside him holding his hand in hers, she called up the doctor and narrated to him, that Shivaay had numbness in right arm and tingling in his right feet. She informed him that she had already given him the medicine which had been prescribed in case of an emergency. The doctor asked her not to worry and wait for a few minutes and it would subside.
She sat holding his hand in both her hands while he rested his head on to the bedrest, occasionally closing his eyes and opening them to look at her.
She made him feel protected. He knew she would always be there for him. After a few minutes,he felt normal, but thought it was best to have the scans done to be on safer side. And have it done right then, he din't want to panic his family.
Shivaay- "Main scans abhi hii karwaa ke aata hoon.!"
Anika-"Theek hain chaliye!"
Shivaay- "Its fine main chala jaaunga!"
Anika with Tadi- "Biwi Hoon Main aapki, Chaliye!"
She said rolling her eyes and holding his hand.
He looked at their hands interlocked, smiled and looked up to her, with his face pointed. "Fine, Chalo!"
An hour later:
Both were in the doctors cubicle.
Doc-"The Scan relatively seems normal. detailed report kal tak aa jaayegi! As for, what happened today, it was because of rise in BP. Mr. Oberoi aap ko apna BP control mein rakhna chaiye. High BP is dangerous and it just complicates your case.You must understand that you Nerves are weak.Frequent BP fluctuations, can do damage, so please do not stress and make sure aapka BP normal hai."
Turning to Anika-
"I think aapko inka dhyaan rakhna chaiye and avoid situations that give him stress and make him over think !" He smiles, and then chuckles.
Anika smiles back at the doctor and turns and glares at him.
Shivaay raises an eyebrow running his index finger over his forehead.
Once they were out of the cubicle she started speaking in the typival Anika style.
"Kariye aur gussa, aur daudaaiye apne dimaag ke ghode free mein, BPSheepi toh high-Fy hona hi thaa. ...
Shivaay sighed and turned the other way knowing there was no point and no way of stopping her.
But she went on and on.
Once or twice he indicated her to keep quiet. After all they were in a hospital for the sake of Good Lord Can She Shut up.!
Thank God, it was midnight and the hospital wasn't quite as much populated as during day.
As they walked down and he walked a little behind he realised that she was talking more to herself than to him. He smiled and soon broke into silent laughter.
Only then did Anika stop to look at him. They had already walked up to the open parking lot. The night was breezy and cool.
She looked at him and a wide smile grew instantly, involuntarily. Both stood their gazing at each other. His smile and that small tinge of happiness on his face, was what she could give anything for. While he cherished her through his eyes intently.
Her Smile, It Meant The World To Him..!
He loathed her tears, yet he always turned out to be the one to cause them. Their eyes din't want to move off. They were willing to stand their forever.
How they wished the moment stayed and time stopped there forever, with the cool breeze kissing them and their gazes intertwined with each other forever.

kismat pe aaye naa yakeen

Slowly and graciously
He remembers how she was more worried than him during the scans. Her face in distress. How restless she was.!
He remembered that day when she confronted him about the disease, how she had cried with him.!

Dekhoon tumhe, Ya main sunoon

He remembers how she was always there. How she stood up for him during Gaytri's case, how she believed him more than he did, during Tia's false accusations. He remembered those old days when she was his wedding planner. The way she tried to scare him with the fake snake. How she copied his style! How she made him loose his tongue in arguments. How she convinced his brothers to talk to him. How she took care of him.Ever since she had come into his life, his life had a new meaning, it was now Live..! He din't know how he had managed to exist until she came but now she was his Life.!
Main to ye sochta tha, ke aaj kal
Upar wale ko fursat nahi
Phir bhi tumhe banake woh
Meri nazar mein chadh gaya
Rutbe mein woh aur badh gaya
I used to think that nowadays
God has no free time
But, having created you,
He has risen in my eyes
His status has become higher..
God had broken all his notions and beliefs by sending her into his life. His Life had been a Deal. How wrong had he been..!!!!
This was Life, what she made him feel..!
He had never much believed in God, just had him a partner in his deals but today he knew how powerful he was.
He had sent an angel to his life.!!
His eyes moistened as he also remembered how he accused her, how he tortured her , how he forced her into this marriage and what did she give him in return ..?
Unconditional Love.
Did he deserve her?
His vision blurred as tears formed in his eyes, threatening to fall off any minute.

Each moment each second
Her expression changed, as she notice those tears. She knew what it meant. She looked at him, it broke her to see her source of strength so weak so vulnerable.As his first tear dropped she stepped ahead and wiped it off. Yet another made its way down she wiped it as well. He just looked at her with guilt all over. Somehow he would never be able to either forget or forgive himself for what he had did to her. NEVER.
She looked at him nodding a no. He couldn't break. As if she knew what he had been thinking, she vigorously nodded in a NO.
He held her hands as they cupped his face.
"I M sorry..!" The dam broke and he cried.
Tears made way to her eyes. She immediately hugged him, enclosed him in his arms.
The rest was forgotten.
