Lets Agree to Disagree , in my opinion he's by far the best cast in all of gul khan shows , he doesn't need to shout or speak lengthy dialogues to convey the message he wants to express, his eyes does it .. it takes some kind of special talent to pull off the character like SSO , to make a person love and hate at the same time. but as we can all agree he's doing a pretty damn good job at it... and i think he's just getting started showing his true talent ... go Nakul LOvE YoUuu...

Okay Let me start by saying I'm not here to bash the actor . I'm just trying to weigh in on his acting skills which I'm sorry to say and no offense to anybody is very mediocre. All he does is try to emulate the mannerisms and style of Hrithik Roshan and honestly its very irritating. From his dialogue delivery to facial expressions. I don't know why he does that. Except for the eyes he has nothing else in common with Hrithik. To be recognized as a good actor/ performer one must come up with his/her own unique method of acting. Originality is the key ingredient in Art. Artists strive to achieve that and try to bring novelty in to their work. Otherwise they are nothing more than imitators.
In my opinion he is terribly miscast . He is unable to pull off the angry men archetype who broods and glares at everything within his sight. He tries to convince the viewers that he is the no-nonsense, Shivay Singh Oberoi with those dramatic head turns, lifting of eyebrows and the all too important walk but miserably fails. I'm assuming the desired effect is to leave us viewers in awe of Mr Oberoi and had it been another actor it just might have worked but in this case it comes across as comical albeit unintentionally. I must say its very disappointing since I liked him as Aditya in PKDH and clearly expected more from him.

hey Ruq I understand where you're coming from. There are certain scenes of his that I don't like (for instance when he acts drunk or he pretends he has no idea what everyone else is talking about. ) I think his voice drowns out and the dialogue delivery isn't convincing. BUt apart from that i think he is fabulous andhe emotes very well :)

We seem to be very few who feels like this I agree with you in some scenes where sso is supposed to show his angry young man avatar it seems so forced specially in the initial days of ib I have seen ipkknd that show main character was similar to shivaay but the actor was really good

well i understood ur perspective but for me he is just amazing just i will say no one can handle the role SSO better than him he is proving it day by day he is acting just amazing

I don't think shivaay is supposed to the ever brooding angry man type of character. He is just adamant at some of his values. When his family, name of his family are threatened he becomes angry.


If SSO was supposed to be the ever brooding scary type and nakul changed that because of his portrayal, then thanks to him!😆 I don't like that type of characters anyway.

I think he's great! Sometimes his dialogues aren't clear but I think it's technical not his issue. Even my mom was watching the other day and she said this character suits the actor and that playing the older angry brother he does a better job than pyaar ka dard. Also I think he's good in all scenes emotional, comic, family, angry !

Nakul is brilliant, in his role. Way he show his anger, passion and bonding with his brothers is amazing!!
He has nailed his role and is really great.

I toh.love him <3 dont care wht others think abt him.. But i hav a thousand reasons to love Nakuul Mehta 😳 ❤️

For me Adi is the best character he played.. <3 he was amazing in tht role loved him and still love tht character.. ❤️ the variations tht Naks brought in portraying Adi was amazing.. It was one of the best character growths on tv.. He went frm being a hyperactive , restless, carefree talkative boy to a responsible adult man .. And Naks was WONDERFUL in it.

SSO as a character is nothing infront of Adi but its beyond amazing how Naks has once again excelles in his role.. This role is so completely different frm Adi tht its really hard to believe tht the same actor is playing both.. Evn his voice modulation is different frm tht in his previous shw. Only one thing which i sometimes dont like is his stuttering.. He should stop doing tht .. It sounds weird at times.. But everything else abt his portrayal is perfectly fine.. He is amazing <3

And i personally don find any similarity with Hrithik.. And i am a Hrithik fan.. So..wont comment on tht.

Offscreen toh he is a GEM ❤️ NO.ONE can help but love him after following him for a while.. He is such a charmer ❤️

I agree...sometimes he is good...most of the times he is pretty bad..specially his dialogue delivery...sometimes he is not even audible...and other times it sounds forced.
