But Annika cannot change her past .. so how will it bring about Shivvay accepting her ... I guess I will give Ms. Gul the benefit of doubt though I cannot imagine how it makes the acceptance part any different.

I think what Gul meant was that Shivaay won't be accepting Annika even after learning about her past. I think it's perfectly normal for Shivaay cuz her sad past alone can only make him sympathise with her but not accept a nameless girl like her. That will take an a long time and will be caused by a lot of epiphanies in his journey towards acceptance.

Asya,

Like I have mentioned earlier here in this forum Gul Khan never delivers what she promises.
For all that we know, Gul is going to kill shivaay and a look like from middle class will make an entry.
Look like of Shivaay will fall for Annika. Now Annika being a Oberoi will look down on him. She gets killed and look like of Annika will make an entry. then solid ishabaazi happens.

Or

Shivaay and Tia romance is the crux of the Ihqbaazi with Annika turning middle class vamp.

This is the nayi soch

🤣 LOL! These scenarios seem better than what's being shown currently. 😛

Middle class vamp is truly nayi soch though! Never seen a middle class vamp on Indian TV yet.

Oh! God... I think I am going to give up ShivIka and invest in the others from now on.
RumYa, PriVeer and Om love story will be more bearable. Shivvay is giving me very high BP right now and I don't think I will last that long to see him accept ... 🤣🤣
My Dil has borne too many "O My Mata's" lately 😆

I never expected Shivaay to accept Annika after learning about her past so I wasn't too bothered. 😆
We can invest in other couples when they are shown more nah, but those love stories hardly get any focus. 😆

Right now I'm more interested in seeing the family drama and Tej-Pinky ka takkar. 🤣 Anything seems better than ShiTiKa triangle at this point. 😆

I just love Pinky, even with all her nonsense she rules. 🤣

How quickly did Soumya remove her mangalsutra ? they both didn't accept the relationship , so she removed it. Feelings aside, she didn't have a sentimental (perhaps religious?) attachment to the mangalsutra as Annika does.
it is a chain , not a holy book. Please correct me if I am wrong. is taking it off considered blasphemous ? it irks me if she thinks she is stuck with this relationship for 7 births. May be a great love or purgatory depending on the man you marry.

She can see clearly Shivaay does not accept her. He couldn't be any clearer. After that reception she was made to go into Shivaay's bedroom to see more Michmichi sights!! Why!?

and then the next day, she is being accosted by Tia with pushing pulling and taunts. Who is stopping her from marching out of there really? She has nothing to lose or gain . .😔

It depends on interpretation

what is true will come out later only

but it can also be interpreted as-

Shivaye will never accept Anika because of her past , their will be some other reason for his acceptance
It can just mean that past is not a reason of acceptance

Noone knows Anika's past actually

Not even us

So till we know what that past is how can we say?

And that is exactly what I can't understand. Where is Annika's character actually going??!!
Gopi Bahu from SNS was always the timid and self conscious girl but how has Annika turned into a character like her??

Ms Gul is a woman of today. Would she really do what she is making Annika do in Ishqbaaz if she was in her place? Then why does she think that the audience of today is going to lap it up? I do not know much about TRP's and what they are at but are you seriously trying to tell me that even the woman in remote villages are buying this?
It is absolutely disgusting to watch a strong and independent woman being turned into a punching bag. I guess some people do get a thrill watching such humiliation of woman just like some get a thrill from portraying them on their shows.

I agree what Shivvay's character did was downright loathsome but what Gul is doing in reality with her 'strong and independent' character is worse.
Shivvay needs less redemption than Ms. Gul right now ... lol🤣
I am a writer and being a writer could never with a clear conscience murder my own character like she does.
I have no issues with showing Annika in the OM and even with what Shivvay, Pinky and Tia are doing in order to rake in the TRP's. They are in some ways being true to their character. But I cannot understand how this girl who could not be bought, broken or defeated by Shivvay in the initial months has suddenly lost her battle without even putting up a fight. I don't see why Shivvay would have to redeem himself for these things when she does not in reality have to put up with it.
The person being abused in such a relationship is as much at fault as the person who is abusing. He is not forcing her to stay and be humiliated. She is doing that all on her own. So I would rather see Ms. Gul send her back to her home after she has signed the divorce papers or stand up for herself like she has always done if she stays at the OM
One of those would be the true Annika

i dunno really. Ms Gul sort of relishes her power to wreck things I suppose 😆

Maybe Annika is meant to be riled to a point that she turns back into that girl who first walked into Oberoi Mansion , all sass and thumbed her nose at Billu, Billu , Billu!! Takes over his room , turns his life upside down and gives Tia a good goose chase while she exposes her duplicity.

Then when all is settled, gives him his divorce, drops the mike and walks off ...

edit : I forgot.. she'll help Rudra and Soumya settle their "issue" as Omkara's story starts.. just show 2 mins ShivIka fight every episode..
