CHAPTER 1

Anika started determinedly towards the exit, what was the jerk thinking. Granted, she loved him. But he didn't know that, did he? So, what made him think that she will be ready to marry him, even though it's for a day, in a heartbeat. Yes, she loved him.. But love didn't mean that she was going to stand by him in all the ghatia and giri hui decisions he took to uphold his class and reputation. He was forgetting that she was Anika, the independent, unstoppable one who faced all his insults and challenges and proved him wrong, defeated him EVERY SINGLE TIME.

"Kaha jaayegi tum?"

His sound was eerie, almost sinister. Filled with hatred his jealousy had seeded in his heart.

"Mujhe ghar hain, aapko yaad nahi hai toh aur ek Bhai bhi-"

"Tumhaare Bhai waha par nahi honge."

Anika stopped in her tracks. Bhai nahi honge, mathlab? She turned on her heels and glared at him, her eyes spitting fire.

"Mere Bhai ko iss maamle main math kaseeto, Mr. Shivaay Singh Oberoi. Main aapko warn kar rahi-" She pointed her finger accusingly but stopped when he let out a laugh, an evil and humourless one.

"Tum, ek dho kodi ki ladki mujhe, Shivaay Singh Oberoi, ko warn karegi?" He walked towards her. "Kyun? I am giving the privilege of being an Oberoi, even though it's for a day. Tum jaisi ladkiyon ko aisi luck kaha milti hogi."

Anika didn't understand the hidden meaning kyunki woh bechari nahi jaanti thi ki uski so called fianc ne kya kuch nahi kaha tha? So instead, her head held high, she said,

"Zindagi ki privileges jo hain na, who bahuth kam logon ko lottery ticket jaise milte hain. Baaki jo 90% bache hain, unko mehnath karna hi padtha hain." She stared challengingly at the love of her life. Koyi jawaab hain, aapke paas? Her eyes asked his.

This ignited the fire in him kyunki for Shivaay Singh Oberoi, Anika.. was the vessel of betrayal and treachery. The woman he illimitably and ardently loved. He gasped at his sudden confession to himself but this made him hate her even more. This was the woman who had the audacity to invade his life, his thoughts, his heart. This was the woman who made his heart swell, to give her place along with his siblings and Dadi, this was the woman who claimed the bigger portion, the woman who broke it when she accepted Daksh's proposal and stomped over it when she spent the night with him, for MONEY.

Money, that's what she wanted, right? He will give her money.

"Tumhaari keemat kya hain? I will buy you if it's needed." As soon as the words came out his mouth, he could feel himself jerk backward, his left cheek burning.

Anika looked ready for murder, any compassion left for him disappeared. The man she loved was the man who treated her khooda, like dirt.

"Yeh jo auratein hoti hain na, zaroori nahi sab ke sab paisa ke peeche hain." She gritted.

"Zaroori nahi."He spat. "Par yeh bhi toh zaroori nahi ki tujhe paise nahi chahiye."

Anika stared at him, and then turned around to leave lest he see her tears, lest he know that his words affect her; but the devil pulled her right back, encaging her between his strong arms.

"Aa paisa kyun kar raha hain?" She whimpered. "Maine aapka kya bigaada hain?"

Kya bigaada? Yeh pooch, kya nahi bigaada? Saare zindagi ulta ladka diya tha usne. She made herself his necessity, his very being. How can he live without her? He loved her but she didn't and uska saza to usko bugatna padega hi.

"Mujhse shaadi karlo warnah kal tumhei tera Bhai ka laash milegi." His words startled himself. That couldn't have come out of his mouth, could it? How can Shivaay Singh Oberoi, the man who kept his brothers his top priority, threaten to kill a brother, and that too an eight year old. But no, Tia Kapoor was the person who held him back all this time, but now that she was out of the frame, nothing was going to stop him from making her his. As for the man she already slept with, waapas aane dho, he will make his life hell. Hers too; she had to go through the pain he went through. SHE HAD TO EXPERIENCE EVERY SINGLE PANG SHE GAVE HIS HEART!
